Good location for central Cologne. The hotel is a bit tired and whilst it's obvious that the team do their best, you would normally expect better standards in a city centre hotel. The bed was very spongy and the pillows flat and useless; very uncomfortable. The shower unit was not clean and the glasses from previous guests were still present; means attention to detail isn't evident. We only stayed one night. Staff very friendly though. The owners need to invest a little to raise standards of presentation here.

Perfect location, amazing breakfast with quality food, and clean room, good beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. But there were a couple of issues: Firstly it would have been nice if the staff had told me this hotel does not have 24 hour reception. I did not how to get in when I came back late at night and could not get in. No one answered the telephone. I could hear it ringing loudly from outside. Eventually I tried the room key on the entrance door and it worked. Phew! Also, in the room I had there were no free power outlets in the desk area, eventually I got on my knees and disconnect the plug for the lamps. (Maybe I was the guest who needed to plug in a computer and charge their telephone, not). Finally the water in the shower did not go down and would have overflowed if I had taken a long shower. But apart from these minor inconveniences the hotel was perfect.

Hotel is quite expensive for what you get. But the breakfast was very much worth it.

Nice small hotel and only 8-9 min walk to cologne cathedral. Other shopping places in cologne is also walkable from this hotel. The staff was very helpful. Hotel has it's own parking and costs 14.5 Euro per night. The breakfast was outstanding. Definitely recommend this hotel. Don't use google map for the hotel entrance since it brings you to the back side of the street.

Inviting & well maintained hotel with a breakfast many 5-star-hotels can not compete with!

The location is perfect, in the center, near the Dom, with everything you need around the hotel. Parking places in the underground just in the front of the hotel. The street is really quiet and clean. The rooms are a little bit older but for the quality and the price they are really what you need. The beds are really comfortable, and that counts a lot! Free wi-fi with good speed. The breakfast is really diversified and very tasty and the personnel take care of everything. If we come back one time there is sure we will choose again the Cerano Hotel to stay. Thank you!

Incredible breakfast, great service, and perfect location (5min walk to the city centre). Fresh fruits, coffee/tea/fruity water at the entrance. Rooms are spatious. Unfortunately the church bells are frequent and loud from the nearby churches - particularly in the early morning.

It's a really good hotel for its price range and stars. Very close to the train station and the Dom Cathedral, very close to the main shopping areas. Small rooms but comfortable, bathrooms are small but practical, beds are comfy. The only downside is their style of pillows really.

Very nice staff and a very wide choice for breakfast, which is hard to find in Cologne. The room was overall great, though the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. If I ever happen to go back to Cologne, will definitely book a room here!

The room was depressing and dirty. My t-shirt was stolen from my room. Do not leave anything in the room unlocked.

Very nice hotel, simple but well located with a metro station at 200m. Unfortunately, the weather was very hot in Cologne and the room had no air conditionning system, I barely slept during my 2 nights there. So I would say the rate was pretty expensive for an hotel without air condition.

Great hotel clean kind staff and very central. When we go back to cologne we will stay again.

Beautiful hotel, the owner takes care of everything, breakfast is delicious and with a nice variety. Honestly I want to go back there everytime I'm in other hotel. Super recommended

The hotel is quite good. I found everything I needed. My room was not to small, the bed was alright and the wifi is great (I could watch 1080p/FullHD youtube videos without a problem). The breakfast tastes good, the selection is good to very good. The hotel is almost in city center, the subway station Appellhofplatz/Breite Straße is 200-300m away. In general, the price-performance ratio was very good, so I can definitely recommend this hotel.

I was glad to find hotel in the center with good reviews, BUT the toilet and shower were left unwashed from previous guests. Cleaning powder was left in the shower with a hint “wash it yourself” I told about this to the receptionist to ask staff to clean it , but when I returned in the evening, the hair was in the same place, still the same short thin ones. And what is most surprising, the cup that I received as a gift disappeared from the table where I left it. I understand that it could be accidental stealing, so I immediately told about it tthe receptionist and he waved it off, saying that I should come in the morning and resolve this issue with the manager. Ok. Unwillingness to resolve customers requests, layered dust above the head, stinky toilet. This hotel has a lot of pics of their famous guests, I suppose it is the only thing left of their glory.

I don't know if I've stayed at a better hotel for that price. 70€ for two people + breakfast in a room with a balcony in the middle of the city? OK, the room wasn't spotless, the breakfast wasn't spectacular, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the hotel mercure the two nights before which cost 30€ more without breakfast (another 19€/person), which was a huge ripoff. I would recommend the Cerano to anybody in cologne.

Clean, comfortable and very close to the centre of Cologne city. Even though its only 5 minutes walk from the old town, the location was very calm and quiet. Good breakfast, but there is no bar or evening meal, but with the old town so close, it isn't a problem.

This was by far one of the weirdest hotels I've stayed at. First off the location was great, and the service from the workers was great. Room quality was on the contrary though. The beds were way too firm and the pillows are horrible. Bathroom size was okay but the shower pressure was too aggressive. Best to say you get what you pay for, and if you end up staying here enjoy and bring you're own pillow!

Rooms are super small. Needs refurbishment. No free parking.

I had to cancel the day before due to covid. The cancellation policy though booking didn't give a refund and booking told me it is up to them to provide an alternative solution. They didn't respond to my messages and booking told me that they didn't wish to provide any partial refund or alternative dates. This seemed quite unprofessional behavior.

Room wasn't particularly clean, feathers and dust balls on the floor round the bed, scum round the bathroom taps and the shower height adjustment was broken. However it is a very cheap hotel considering it's a 5min walk to the dom and city centre train station. You get what you pay for.
