“We don’t have a phone in the reception. If you need anything you need to come down” tells you everything you need to know about this hotel. It was especially nice when there was no hot water in the shower and the girl from the call center in MUC (because that’s the only number you will get) tells you to go down and you stand naked in your room wanting to take a shower. Never again!

On business trip, I haven't chosen the hotel, and it was the first time at a Ruby Hotel. First impression was a bit strange, but then I have been positively surprised, especially by the staff : Atanas, Gudi, Melanie, Joanna and Mama Cherry. They made the maximum for making my stay perfect. Thank you !!

My friends and I stayed in cologne for our four day weekend. First off the rooms were NICE like the speaker, the A/C, the vibes. I loved it. We also went to the bar and had Samuel as our waiter. He was so funny and made sure to suggest the best drinks. I highly recommend people to stay here, everything is a walkable distance.

We came to Ruby Ella Hotel with my girlfriend a couple of hours ago. We were greeted with such a warm welcome and professional service! The atmosphere was great, the rooms felt unique, interesting and were clean. But, what most surprised us was the service. Beyond extraordinary and so friendly! I even got to speak with them - Samuel and Sebastian. They were amazing! My overall impression was perfect and I'd definitely come back again!

I have to admit this is one of the best Hotels I saw in a long time. It is unconventional and cozy. Of course the sink near the bed is weird but not uncomfortable. You can also borrow a guitar and play in your room. The rooms are very quiet even beside the elevator. Give it a try and sleep tight.

It was an overall great stay at Ruby Ella and the service at the reception was smooth and comfortable. The room was great, the right size. The location is an extra plus because it’s right in the middle of a lot of spots but still hidden enough not to be loud. Only minus: The room cleaning could have been a bit more attentive. There was tissues missing two days in a row and a few dirty spots left in the floor.

Excellent hotel, stayed for a couple city break. Rooms are perfect just what you need. The staff are amazing and all very friendly. It has a great vibe, bar is great for chatting and chilling out. Very extensive drinks menu. Very quiet rooms

Great place! Came here on a work trip and it was such a treat to stay here. The place is cozy and chic, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The staff was great, especially Atanas, who was super friendly and helpful every morning at breakfast. This is definitely a great place to stay in this beautiful city.

Our first time in Cologne and we stayed at the Ruby Ella hotel. We had a great experience from the moment we arrived. Sebastian was working and was very helpful. He wrote down some attractions, some must-try restaurants, and suggested a local beer for us to try. The service was great as was the beer!

Had a great experience at the Ruby, this hotel has hands down the most friendly staff! Jalil, Guillermo and Samuel were world class in their service and making us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. We stayed in this hotel during our honeymoon touring Europe. It was great for visiting Cologne and everything is at walking distance. We used the car park which was safe and easy to use (at an extra cost). We were given the option to swap an everyday room clean for a free drink which we used and much preferred. The staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They offered help whenever when needed it. We opted for the breakfast which was a bit pricey but the same price as other hotels to be honest. The only issue we had was the shower wasn't sealed off and flooded the whole toilet but we just used the towels to mop it up.

The hotel was very clean, quiet and aesthetically pleasing. I would definitely recommend! The staff were so kind and understanding especially Samwel and Irine. The reception being open 24 hours was very handy as well as the multilingual staff. Great location if clubbing and bars is your thing but also only a 10-15 min walk to the famous Cathedral.

This is a great place to stay in Cologne. The location is central, and the staff are super friendly (in most cases). My only main issue with this hotel is their "cashless policy"...the fact that we couldn't pay in cash made things a lot more inconvenient, and in some cases way more expensive than they need to be. The management need to understand that international guests from outside EU will have to pay bank charges for using their cards abroad, and in some cases, will not be able to use their cards at all due to the currency changes.

My stay at Ruby Ella during a visit to Cologne was wonderful, from start to finish! The hotel was super cute and trendy, without sacrificing quality. Rooms were spacious and had great touches,like Marshall amps. The service was phenomenal - everyone I interacted with was extremely kind and gracious - particularly Samuel, who made every experience I had at the bar extra exceptional (thank you!) I will definitely be back again!

The room is 9 meter long, but still there's a bed so tiny it can barely fit 2 people. Also the curtains are not wide enough and don't block any light so you will wake up at 6. The hotel has a design atmosphere but they are forgetting what a hotel is for, resting and sleeping. Go to the Marriott or Hyatt, there you will sleep well.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel! The rooms are wonderfully equipped and decorated, were clean. The location of the hotel is great, many restaurants within 5-7 minutes walking. And the cocktails downstairs were great! Special thanks to Hamza for attentive service at the bar.

Perfect location though it’s entrance is on a pedestrian street (near major drivable intersections). The Ruby Ellis team is incredibly l knowledgeable and straight up cool. The breakfast spread could have been a weeeeee bit better BUT it was quite good. The rooms are basic with the Ruby hotel group flair ✨, very comfortable bed, and sparking clean.

Had a really nice stay in this hotel. Especially the hotel bar was amazing with a cool party with DJ on the day we arrived. Thank you Sebi, Guillermo and Lenardo for making the weekend trip a nice experience with the nice cocktails and friendly service. The location is also super central which is super nice.

The Ruby Ella, its definately not your ordinary hotel & the night bar staff are great. Shout out to doddy who was the cocktail shaker extraordinaire and extra cudos for the Munster Rugby shirt 👍, the staff make the place worth staying here, thanks to doddy and lukas for looking after us.

I enjoyed staying here, and the service was excellent. I had good service from Hamsa and other staff as well. I especially like all the rooms provided with Marshall speakers. I had fun playing some excellent songs on that.

Spent three nights here, brilliant hotel, great location, above all the staff took great care of us. The team of Atanas, Hamza, Lenny, Joanna and Maria Cherry ensured we had everything we needed from stored luggage on the first day to a late night rum, coke and pizza! Highly recommend this place.

This hotel has everything I want when traveling: friendly service, great location; clean, functional rooms that are design oriented but also comfortable and quiet. And all at a fantastic price. Hope they’ll be expanding across Europe soon!

Hotel is very modern. Industrial style of rooms. Self checking. Breakfest is ok. Location is very convenient. Rooms are comfortable. Very friendly staff. But there is a minus - a room cleannes. I have every day cleaning. From the first day, on the floor was hair, laying all 5 days on the floor in the corner. A floor wasn't clean at all in the toilet. Water marks after shower were during my all stay. It is a pitty. Because so much was done. Only some small, but very important steps, should be improve.

My new favourite Hotel. Clean and cosy.

I'm very rarely picky when it comes to hotel stays, but I have barely slept the night of my stay after being bitten by bugs several times, even resulting in a swollen eye which did not get better the following days. I checked and the windows we're closed. When sharing feedback, the manager simply brushed the case off and said it's not their fault. I returned from dinner around 21:00 with no itching or signs of a swollen eye. I woke up around 1:30 am as you can see on the picture with bug bite marks on my back, arms and eye (barely being able to open it). Very disappointing and unaccountable for a poor experience.

It’s a modern well thought out hotel, the rooms are bright & clean. There is a touch of glitzy rock ‘n roll about the place. Super large beds, a good night’s sleep too. A good bar with some friendly and skilled bar staff too. I’d think this would be a great base for my next trip to Köln.

Very central and nicely furnished hotel at the Friesenplatz. I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The room had a fitting size for a weekend and was spotless when I arrived. The interior is of good quality and I really enjoyed my weekend stay here. They also have very nice cappuccino and drinks in the bar.

Beautiful place and excellent staff! The room was pitch black and dead quiet at night for a good sleep. Hemza & Jana made sure I was well taken care of throughout the stay and made me feel warm and welcomed. The only thing I could criticize is that the mirror in the room had some prints on it when I checked in, but personally I'm not bothered by it, as it really didn't make my stay here any less enjoyable.

Our stay at the Ruby Ella hotel was fabulous. The interior is beautiful, the room impressive, comfortable and clean, the distance to the city center was great and the breakfast was of good quality. In short, all was very well arranged. Employee Hamza gave us a warm welcome and a short introduction to the sights to see in Köln. Can recommend!

The stay was fantastic, my boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights with breakfast included and we would repeat completely. What we highlight the most is the attention of the hotel staff, all the members with whom we had the pleasure to coincide helped us a lot, in particular, Hazam was super attentive at breakfast and at check-out time. We totally recommend the hotel!

Cool hotel. Tiny but modern rooms but one specific issue for me: - Can't watch your own device like phone or tablet on the TV. No apps, just live TV with mainly German channels (which my companion does not speak) And rates comparable on their site VS booking sites. (OTAs)

A great location, but distant from the busy road. Modern and great aesthetic, nicely lit, nicely soundproof. Really friendly staff, great amenities, no issues whatsoever. Thoroughly recommend - and I rarely (if ever) take the trouble to rate places I stay at.

Great little hideaway hotel with a 24 hour bar. Bartenders were extremely knowledgeable and able to recommend drinks for the whole group. Shout out to both Sebastian and Samuel for their drink selection, definitely will be staying next time I’m in Köln!

Had a great stay here. Really clean, good looking hotel that provides the elevated basics. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - special shout out to Lenardo who helped me secure a taxi all the way to Frankfurt at 6am. I was stranded with the DB cancellations and would have missed my flight. Thank you so much!!

Such an amazing hotel. Super clean and very tidy and well kept rooms. But it would not be as amazing if the staff was not great. Samuel helped me with the check-in and my luggage and was super nice and took time to explain everything to me. Will come here again for sure.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very stylish rooms (especially if you play an instrament) Bar is 24/7 with great staff, always useful when you return late , an just want a quiet last drink. If your staying multiple days ,They offer swapping room cleaning for a free drink is also a great way to help rhe environment.

We enjoyed our stay in this great detailed atmosphere. Staff was lovely. The mix between rock-and-roll, vintage and industrial look creates a very nice ambiance. Cocktails are great and have a good ratio price-quality. The one thing to improve would probably be the extra price - in my opinion a little high - for breakfast.

Absolutely great Hotel, only thing missing for me was the in-room coffee machine or at least a Kettle or something. Incredibly helpful staff. Special shoutout to Melanie from the Front Desk, for being so helpful when I had a last minute Christmas present idea(especially as her shift had already ended 30 minutes earlier), which turned out to be a great success later that day.
