Booked 2 nights with Srilax. Isuru was very responsive, helpful and generous to upgrade my room. Great stay, room is clean and thoughtfully designed, great location (walking distance to National Museum, Seed Cafe, PR concept store and more). Having cafe Kumbuk (owned by the same fam) right below your accommodation is very convenient… get your coffee fix before a day of exploration. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. I travelled to Sri Lanka as solo female traveller and felt safe during my short stay. Two things to note: - accommodation is located on 2nd floor and accessible through narrow staircase - my bedroom and bathroom (the Nook) slightly smelled of food because the cafe is just right below, otherwise everything else was great

Perfect hotelroom for a quick trip in Colombo! We had a late flight and it was an easy check it. Very clean room and downstairs at the cafe you can get good food!

'well thought out' was the first thought that came to my mind, when I saw the room. There are adapters in the power sockets, drinking water in the room and in the hallway to refill your bottle and even mosquito spray. The design of the rooms is clean and calming, making it the perfect place to relax. We were lucky to have given the opportunity to enter the room before the official check-in time to rest after our flight. Thank you again, this was truely a blessing. Also the café Kumbuk is lovely and everything we tried there was delish. The hotel is located in a little side street, so the location is really quiet, in contrast with Colombo in whole. I can definitely recommend it and I am sure that we will be back ♡

Everything about Srilax is awesome. Location is perfect. Staff are the best and make feel like family and the rooms are white clean fresh and worth every cent. Will be coming back for sure! Thank u to everyone that made it feel like we belonged there from the beginning:) xo

I booked one night in Srilax and then decided to extend our stay until midnight because of our late flight. The manager was so understanding and helpful, even though the room we stayed in was already booked for the next day, he managed to give us another room at a reasonable price. Everything is just perfect about this place, very clean and comfortable, and the coffee shop downstairs is just good to have inside the building. All the employees are so kind, and we didn’t find anything to complain about.

A very nice accomodation in a cool part of Colombo, offering spacious and clean rooms. The cafe downstairs serves delicious food and coffee :) also the plants in both patios create an amazing atmosphere!

A peaceful haven in the bustle of the big city. Gorgeous room, very clean, comfortable with AC and fan. Lovely staff and feel likes it’s in a very safe neighbourhood. I didn’t get the chance to try the cafe downstairs but it’s nice to have that option there if you need it. Highly recommend and will be back when I return to Colombo.

If you want a bohemian cozy boutique place to stay in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the beautiful but busy city of Colombo, this cafe / hotel is amazing. The rooms are clean and spacious. The cafe has vegan options and is a great place for travellers that need to do a bit of work.

We had the most wonderful stay at Srilax. Beautifully curated creature comforts in the room. A short tuk tuk ride to popular tourists spots of Colombo. We loved spending the morning with a wholesome meal and a cool drink at Cafe Kumbuk downstairs and ending our day relaxing in our cosy accommodation. The staff were absolutely hospitable, ensuring we made the most of our stay in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend staying at SriLax!

It's been a long time since I stayed at a place where the managers actually genuinely care about their guests. The Srilax staff is contactable at any given time and responds very quickly, if not immediately. I arrived late at night and the reception wasn't open anymore, but I had no trouble checking in myself thanks to the very detailed instructions I was given a couple days prior to my arrival. The room (The Middle) is spacious, has very chic interior and was spotlessly clean. There's plenty of hot water, the water pressure is very good and the place just feels like a little luxury boutique hotel. I loved the A/C feature, ceiling fan, guidebooks and complimentary water. The neighbourhood feels very safe and the property itself is double-fenced and very secure. The café downstairs serves very good food and drinks at excellent prices and offers a great ambience.

We absolutely loved staying here, the bed was really comfy and the room was always nice and cool with both air con and a large fan. Our room looked beautifully styled, with a beachy, relaxed feel and thoughtful touches like drinking water, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Cafe Kumbuk downstairs serves delicious food and coffee from 9:30 - 5:30 and is a popular destination in itself. All the staff are lovely and so accommodating. We will definitely be back!

This is such a nourishing place to stay. Our room was called ‘the one’ and it very much lived up to the name. It had all you need: the aircon and the ceiling fan combo made sure it wasn’t stuffy, the basic natural-colored furnishing was cozy without being too overbearing while the plants, glass water jar and some incense made it feel like home. It rained heavily on our only day in Colombo but I wasn’t bummed one bit to stay in the room: it felt good to get a little work done sat in a wickerwork chair, I even felt inspired to rearrange the suitcase and do some yoga✨The cafe downstairs has the same balanced vibe and great food in lush green surroundings.

Stayed here and booked the family room which came with two rooms each with its own private showers The rooms are stylish and contemporary, clean and the beds are very comfortable. Downstairs you can eat in Cafe Kumbuk which does great coffee and the best smoothie bowls in town! 😋 Number one place to stay in In Colombo!

The Srilax hotel is the best place for a relaxing holiday. The hotel is located in a very beautiful administrative quiet area of ​​Colombo. Cozy atmosphere creates a feeling of home. The room is very clean and full of simple interior details. There are jug with water, fresh flowers in pots, wicker pendant lamps etc. These details create a pleasant feeling of relaxation. The bathroom are very comfortable for using. There is a cafe with delicious coffee and lime pie downstairs. The hotel and cafe staff are very friendly. Service is excellent. I recommend this place for a good holiday in Colombo!!!
