The bouncers are absolutely the worst. They have serious attitudes. If you pay them a bribe, they treat you better. Saw it in person. Music is ok. The same songs all the time. R&B with European mix. Way too many guys and many pretending to be tough. Wish they had other clubs to compete with in Colombo for tourists and locals.

I was disappointed by the inconsistency in the rules, seemingly based on crowd levels. It felt inauthentic and not conducive to a fair experience. Wouldn’t recommend if integrity matters to you. Who The behavior of the general manager towards customers was disappointing. Rude conduct towards patrons reflects poorly on the establishment’s service. The quality goes down day by day!!! The bouncers attitude as if they are miniature versions of Donald Trump. They would treat you better if only you treat them better. Service varies from oneday to another.. Drinks are over expensive ..music is good , they are open till the dawn..ok to go as a group of friends but the bouncers have their own rules about the male to female ratio. Used to love this place back then..

Our visit to Rhythm and Blues in Colombo on a Sunday evening was quite disappointing – the place was nearly empty with only one or two tables occupied, giving off a dull and lifeless vibe. The lack of a crowd definitely affected the atmosphere. Regarding the food, it was just average; nothing particularly outstanding to write home about. Overall, not the vibrant or happening experience we were hoping for on our night out.

The music was great and the dance floor was always packed. The drinks were also well-made and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everyone was having a good time. The atmosphere was lively and the crowd was diverse. I would definitely recommend the R&B club to anyone looking for a fun night out.

Never go to this club. The security at the entrance were pretty rude and doesnt have customers service at all. You could go inside only if you have a girl with you. And these people even doesnt know thats gender discrimination and was trying to teach me how it happens in other countries where I came from. Went there on 11th November night and their behaviour was disgusting. Went to industry club afterwards and saw the difference how security treat their customers. We were welcomed politely even the club was almost full.

Worst place ever. You call this a club? It is a 3rd world dungeon filled with phoneys and over weight grandpas whom they call bouncers. I'd rather go to pillawoos and have a meal rather than going to this dungeon.

One word for this place - horrible. We spotted rat on the floor and the couch. Drinks are over priced and the food quality sucks. Music is very loud given the size of the place. Avoidable.. Don't waste your time and money.

Ridiculously stupid place.... Exorbitant prices, substandard drinks (NO Lion Beer, by far the best Sri Lankan beer...), only cheap imported plastic beer... And the attitude of the bouncers and stuff, decor, music.... All beyond comprehension, outrageous and unacceptable. What a shame, And once upon a time, it was such a lovely place, with band on one end, and a pool table on the other.....

Staff attitude is very bad. They dont know how to treat their customers, no decency at all. The manager is short tempered and is not appealing at all. These guys need to learn to respect their customers. Been here a couple of times, and from my very recent visit, it was evident these guys are loosing their customers. I dont recommend this place for anybody.

Went a few times. Absolutely disgusting treatment to the customers by the staff members there . The ones inside are very rude plus they act as if they have right over the whole place as in who to keep and who to drive away very rude staffs . Totally disappointed .

I am compelled to write this review after an extremely disturbing visit to R & B Club, a place that not only fell short of basic expectations but also raised serious concerns regarding customer safety and staff behavior. The most alarming issue was the conduct of the bouncers at this establishment. Their behavior was far from professional; it was downright threatening and abusive. I witnessed, with increasing dismay, how they aggressively interacted with guests. The situation escalated to a point where bouncers physically assaulted some of the customers, an act that is not only reprehensible but also criminal. Such violence is inexcusable and casts a dark shadow over the entire club.

R and B is a decent place and safe place for ladies. I went only once time with my colleagues, and we had a great time on the dancing floor here.

Had a terrible experience. Went there with a couple of my friends and we called the manager prior and informed him that one of our colleagues is wearing a cargo short, shirt and shoes and the manager said it was okay. After we went there the manager accused my friend by calling him a lier and said wether we are drunk because he didn’t tell us that it was okay wearing the short and then he said he can take us in but each guy has to pay 5000 for the entrance ticket. We also told him that our friend came from Australia for holidays and it won’t bring a positive image to the club and he clearly mentioned “I have travelled too and I’m a tourist too” lol. ( I think the manger was a former cabin crew member haha ). This is clearly absurd because we are the customers and we were accused and discriminated as liars, local guy wearing a short and wether we are drunk because he didn’t say that wearing the short was okay when he clearly did. Really bad the way the manager and the bouncers treated us and terrible attitude. Don’t recommend this place at all !

One of the best nightclubs/lounges in Colombo that operates for almost 20 years. They offer a wide range of snacks and alcohol beverages with a chic and softly lit atmosphere that usually gets lively as the night progresses. Staff is quite decent and provides a commendable service. Its a well established venue to experience some great entertainment.

Excellent ambience! The music in a Friday night is spot on. Drinks are expensive. There's an entrance fee of a 1000Rs for men and women walk in free. Booze up and come here to dance the night away - it will be EPIC!

This club is garbage as it only allows couples. Single men are not allowed inside. Go to H E L L.

Bouncers' attitude was horrible. The place was pretty empty around 1am too. Also they didnt let my friend in so when the rest of the group left didnt return the entrance fee either

We went on a Thursday for ladies night and enjoyed the free cocktails. Danced the night away, the DJ was awesome. Staff keeps watch to make sure everyone is safe. We were three girls unchaperoned and had unwanted attention from men but nothing seriously damaging. So much better than most unsafe clubs.

The music was pumping, the crowd was lively, and the atmosphere was electric. The DJ played a great mix of songs that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had our drinks quickly. Overall, it was a fantastic night of dancing and fun.

Felt safe and welcomed compared to other night club in this street. Had very good time. DJ is very boring. It has to be more energetic.

A bit tiny. Crowded. Dj good. Many older customers. Very expensive. Not many female customers to see. Many working women. Security is aggressive and large door entry free just to have a drink. We pay alot and go inside and realize is 75 percent men. And High prices. But if you get a bottle they will treat you well.

The club is great of you like R&B Style of music. Its a little bit expensive like 1000 lkr to 2000 lkr for a drink. During week days be sure to get there after 12 because there would be not much of a crowd...

I hail from India and I visited this place for late night party with 4 people ! I lost my phone at this place after 2 hours I realised however the staff and manager are really supportive to have that back for me ! Good party place & Dj also reasonably good ! Thank you @rhytm & blues for finding my phone and keeping it safe !

The bouncers at the entrance is worse and annoying. They charge men Rs 1000 for entry but still can't go inside if you don't bring a girl with you. Its quite ridiculous that we have to pay 1000 and have to bring a girl too. And there was no crowd when we got there.

The location is good. They don't sell local Lian beer, I didn't like it it also depends on who you have fun with, if my experience was not good at this place maybe someone else's was great

We call it R&B. Yes, another great place for young and middle age people to enjoy. Great cocktails and liquor with acceptable price. Happenings on Fridays and Saturdays. Good DJ. Great service.

It was a very fantastic night. There was a very decent crowd no hustle bustle with anyone. A good amount of people were there and most of them were the elite crowd of the urban colombo. Drinks were good and DJ was okay. But you can definitely enjoy yourself there. Expect the crowd around 10.30 p.m.

Nice restaurant/pub to enjoy your night with friends. Quite upbeat though.

Visited RnB to see what the whole hype was ‘bout regarding the place.. Mannnn it was no disappointment to be here. The vibe at this place is chills the atmosphere is topnotch cannot be compared to any other. The staff is really cool except the guy near the gate though ig he doing his job innit 😂😂. But the staff is really great enjoyed the time there hats off to Mewan though he was really amazing and friendly makes the whole vibe at the place him alone. Overall the experience at the club was lit. Would come back soon ❤️

Congratulations for serving value customers for 20years. As a result oriented customer, I always stick to this place for last 15 years. Its always been a full house with genuine service and eventful standards. Currently, full house with Nothing! Menu doesn't support what your require. eg: if you want to have a Bull Frog single shot , they are asking me to buy a full bottle and served Gordans and say Thank you! I still value the good old bouncers (aka humble humans) Persoanlly requesting to revamp as before it gets diluted. Best Wishes

I would like to start by thanking everyone who works here.they are all amazing people. I have never felt safe in a club anywhere in the world like I felt here. The music played here is from a few generations to now so you have a few generations having fun together. Talking about the management I have to mention the manager Deyan.he makes everyone that enters that club feels like a million bucks.he knows and feel the crowed.simply put that club will never be the same without him

At the entrance they tried to charge us twice. Swiped the card once, we got the sms alert but they tried to swipe it again saying they didn't get the payment.

The ambiance is good but no crowd on weekdays.. make sure you order the drinks correctly and confirm prior ordering . Initially I was told the peg is priced for 50ml but they charged us for double stating the price on menu is for 25 ml..

I was there yesterday,, amazing place with amazing atmosphere.. I found the staff and the management amazing.. cocktails and the crowd was pretty good for a Tuesday night and the party vibe was brilliant.. Thsnks to the management the Old Rhythm and Blues back in action..
