This place is the one and only place in Ratmalana AirPort area! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is not that professional. Food is pretty good. They have bakery items, cakes, koththu, fried rice, lump-rice, cheese cakes etc. They have a big variety of food but their products are so expensive comparing to other restaurants around.

Have been visiting this pace for years and yet I decided to Post a review. Food Items are overpriced and it doesn't meet the standard. At times food seems to be spoiled and old dishes are still served. Tried an Ice coffee for the first time here and it tasted like vomit. Customer service is average not the best but okay. I pay my regular visits only for a few cups of hot Nescafe or else wouldn't rate two stars at all..

I bought 3 chicken fried rice to takeaway. The chicken was like "Umabalakada" I couldn't even Bite it. I feel like the leftovers are boiling over and over again. After more than an hour of big argument we got refund.

Not recommended, As I dont have any other option I order 2 time at Meal Cart Ratmalana, The both time I received old foods (not fresh food), I orders Dosa, Barotta and Cake - All foods are few days old, not fresh and not tasty.

Worst place I ever experienced. Too much expensive and the quality, taste is very very bad. One rice and curry chicken lunch packet is Rs.390.00 . Price is not the main thing. First you need to serve quality and tasty foods to your customers.

We recently ordered lunch for a seminar of 30 people and unfortunately received numerous complaints regarding the quality of the food. Despite being priced at a premium, the low quality of the cooking oil used resulted in subpar meals. The quality of the food has significantly declined since our last experience and we would not recommend dining at this establishment.

Very small piece of fish with rice and curry. Vegetable portions are also small.Not worth.Don't buy.

Not the best service you can expect. Foods are vary and some of them are worth the money and some of them are not. Expensive at any cost. Customer service is terrible. Parking is a main issue here, you cannot park nearby. I don't suggest for a quick bite or a settled meal unless you have no other options around.

Just wanted to share this message to tell you guy's that your Meal Cart Bread 🍞 is far too expensive as for Rs 260/=. Consider bringing down.

Have been buying food from ratmalana outlet 2-3 times a month, quality of food had deviated drastically, never buy pol roti from here unless you want to loose your teeth

I ordered a chocolate cake today but I’m sorry to say it tasted so bad, meal cart was a really good at the beginning but unfortunately not anymore. hopefully next time serve fresh food to the customers.

I'm sad to say this, I loved their food, especially pasta, but recently found a fried fly in my pasta. Hope they would be mindful about the Kitchen hygiene after this time.

Price is high but thats not the problem service is bad and food is the worst and their muffines are like 10days old

Got a Lamprais today for lunch, it was priced at 990 which is is extremely high, since no other option available purchased it hoping it will be good. One of the worst food experiences of my life, could have bought a better Lamprais from elsewhere for half the price. Won't be visiting here again..

One of the best places in the area to have a good dine-in experience. Dimly lit surrounding + sound of old English hits + well-maintained Chinese style space makes a perfect ambiance. Good food with perfect quality. (Quality haven't changed in last few years, maintains well ) Highly recommended for couples, families & for parties as well. Other than dine in , one can have take-away & can arrange delivery as well.

I am from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Ratamalana and I am staying close by the University. Meal Cart is by far the cleanest and best place to get quality food in the area around here since there not many other places to buy food in the radius of around 500m from the Airport Junction. The food is of best quality and so is the customer services. Though I feel like they could be more considerate of the pandemic precautions, I have always found the Meal Cart comfortable to dine in.

Amazing food. Love their fish bun and chicken bun. Also, 🍩 donuts. Good quality food. Highly recommended.

Nice place for a budget Rice & Curry take away. Dine ins are also available. A little chaotic at busy times but good service from the staff.

The food are a bit pricy. But given the cleanliness and the friendly atmosphere, the price is justifiable. The washroom facilities were too very clean and well maintained.

I am visiting the same place for about six years now. Till now I experience a very friendly staff , delicious food in a hygienic environment! This was the place where meand my husband used to meet in every weekend after lectures at uni. This was the place where our batchmates used to give birthday treats to our batch!. Univotec and Mealcart, that was a good bond when were at uni and still my favourite stop when we r passing Rathmalana! Good luck Maelcart staff!

I ordered via pick me app today and was really disappointed for the money I spent for the chocolate biscuit pudding was priced for Rs. 535/- which a small cup Was sent and it was tagged Rs. 400/- but I paid Rs. 535/-. The dosa was a very small portion for Rs. 200/- I will not recommend this place for anybody.

Good place & Good staff. Place is not so crowded & the location is really good as it's so close to Rathmalana Airforce Airbase.
