🇱🇰 After travelling Sri Lanka for some months, my family came to visit me! I actually got on a bus that I intended to go elsewhere, however, I ended up in Mount Lavinia and this was the place I decided to stay last minute! 😁 Happy that the place found me as I enjoyed my stay here! A very spacious, clean and well priced room.The entrance is super cool too! I loved the balcony and the fact it had air conditioning, a large, comfy bed, hot water, kettle and small desk! Really great for me :) 📢 It was a little loud as its on a busy road, I have earplugs so wasn't too disturbing and mostly out of the hotels control. ❤️ What made the experience even better was the staff, from the time I checked in, to the time I left, I was treated with kindness and amazing hospitality. Prashan gave me contact details and told me to message him if I wanted help with anything, great service. I checked out a little late and there was no fees which I am grateful for and furthermore appreciative of the help they gave me assistance to get a bus back into Colombo. The Lion Pub is the best place to chill in town. Great offers and deals on liquor and beer. Love their food taste. They take long time to make food but its totally worth it. Hint: dont order thai items, its not great. Hot butter mushroom was so perfect, highly recommended. They dont have fresh juices (only like juice) or mocktails so if you dont drink, youll be limited to carbonated beverages and water. The basement has a air conditioning room and the ground floor is open air concept. Limited parking space. Recommended for small groups. Decent pricing.

Today we visited Lion Pub, Mt.Lavinia. Quite a nice place and ideal to have a chill out with friends. They have a decent menu. Food and drinks are on spot. We loved their pizza very much. There was a very friendly serving personnel named Baskaran who warmly served us and help us to have a good time there. Recommend this place to everyone around. We loved this place and their BBQ Buffalo wings.The service was good too. However , I didnt like the fish and chip much (not recommended ). Try the chicken and chips instead . That was tasty.

Went there after a so many years just to relive the memories but left with nothing but disappointment. Tap beer was flat and the signature hot battered cuttlefish was nothing but "rodu". When my mate, who was a regular there mentioned about the flat beer to one of the waiting staff (Chithral), all he had to show was his smile!! He obviously couldn't do nothing much but the quality of food should be up to par!! Will NEVER go here again. EVER!!

But when we visited the place again after an year, just before few months they have changed a lot, and the menu has been shorten - And they now have only the typical bites that other pubs have. :( And the staffs were not much friendly too! There were many cats roaming around the tables down, and it was bit uneasy to have the meals and enjoy the time :(

Visited the Travellers Bar at the Galle Face hotel for tea and it was very good. The cuppa was great and the location and service was very decent indeed. However be weary of squirrels who'll just snatch your food off your plate.

Nice cocktails but the selection could include a few more well known ones. And the service can be a bit slow. But overall a wonderful place for a drink and a must-see spot on a visit to Colombo.

Three of us went for drinks and food on 31/01/2020. Service was incredibly slow. Drinks were watered down. They didn't have some of the items on the menu - we went to have the pink grapefruit margarita and this was not available. There were no paper serviettes to wipe our hands. There was no light on our table so after sunset it got very dark. We thought of ordering more cocktails and got the menu a second time but in the end we decided to leave because we were tired of waiting for someone to take our order. When we called for the bill they said there is a problem with the system and that this too will take time. Absolutely disappointing and frustrating.

This is one of the oldest pubs in Mt. Lavinia that runs back to over 3 decades. Over time, it has become a prominent venue amongst most of the locals and even foreigners. Their iconic Lion structure at the entrance has become a landmark in the area. They serve a range of Chinese dishes that are well alinlgned with the Sri Lankan taste pallet. All of them are absolutely delicious and great in quality. They also serve a range of alcohol beverages. Prices seems reasonable. Staff is attentive, helpful and extends a great service. Certainly a place that deserves a 5 star rating and a revisit.

This is one of my favorite pubs in Cmb. Always filled with good people with good vibes. Place is clean and tidy aand offers a huge variety of food options to Satisfy your tastebuds. Rice options to Hot butter cuttlefish, food here is reasonably priced and filled with flavor. And most importantly potion sizes are really good. Even the rice ad curry can be shared with two people. -Hot batter mushrooms -Nasigoreng -Fried Rice are some of the most highlighted dishes here.

On the 4th of December ordered cuttlefish and chicken set menue. The cuttlefish was soggy and felt as if it was just microwaved after bn cooked days earlier. Called the place and the chef admitted that they were not fresh (which I have on recording). The delivery was done if I'm correct after an hour although it was promised to be sent within 30min and by the time the food arrived it was all cold. Bcz I did not have the time to wait for them to send a fresh portion of cuttlefish they agreed to offer me the same when I made my next order. Today ordered the same. But I had to explain to THREE different ppl about what I was promised (also got on recording). It was humiliating to keep on explaining. The last person I spoke to said they will send the food but was quite rude and cut the line while I was talking. Finally the food did arrive this time within 30min as promised BUT the cuttlefish was still not fresh, it was just refried. It was disgustingly oily too. The chicken set menu was poorly packed (got pictures), , it wasn't closed properly, chopsuey was basically large chunks of cabbage and it tasted horrible. I lost my appetite the moment I saw how it was packed. My mother who had some of the cuttlefish and the fried rice got sick after eating cz it was so oily and the food did taste very fresh. Ive decided never to buy from u again n need to see some accountability for such poor service. At least a call from the manager.

The Lion Pub is a great place to relax and enjoy a quiet dinner. The food is delicious, and the beer garden at the back is a great place to enjoy a cold beer. The service is friendly and efficient, and the staff are always happy to help. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.

I was very happy with my stay at the Lion Pub & Hotel. The rooms are simply but clean and perfect on the way downsouth for a rest after a long flight. A restaurant ist directly attached with cocktails & nice food. Def. worth a visit / stay.

FOOD POISONING BEWARE!! I am currently have food poisoning after eating the cuttlefish from this place. I will never be returning to this place as they are selling old food for delivery. I thought I was going to pass away, how can this be legal?

This hotel is situated in Dehiwala Mount Lavania. We stayed for one night. But we felt very uncomfortable. Specially clean is very poor. Washrooms very worst. I didn't use washrooms. Nothing is cleaned. Room floor is so dusty. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Walked in for dinner in a Wednesday night at the bar. The bartender, yasuru he was quick, efficient and friendly. he helped recommend something for my dinner and the chicken biriyani didn’t disappoint! I even returned the next afternoon for lunch and got similar service! It was a gem I found and can’t wait to return next year- I just hope yasuru is still bartending then!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was mediocre, But what really made me angry was the 25% service charge added to the bill. I don't mind tipping for good service, but I don't think it's fair to be forced to pay a service charge when the service is subpar. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Very Bad service. They don’t tell us the exact prices. Their menu has a different price and they change the prices when billing. They charge 25% extra and that’s so unfair. Never ever visit this place for anything. Nobody recommend this place. Beware of their lies everyone!
