Great venue to drink and socialize, specially for karaoke enthusiasts. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. They also have a great selection of alcohol beverages. The entrance fee is Rs. 1000 for men and ladies can walk in free. The admission fee is not reimbursable for any of the purchases unlike in certain other clubs/pubs. Prices seems a bit high, but the crowd is decent and trendy.

Great music selection. The owners are super nice and the food ain't half bad. The regulars are always happy to provide back up vocals! The only downside is that the DJ is a complete turd who doesn't pass the mic in the order of requests received and plays favorites.

Awesome place to get your kareoke fix. Drinks are not cheap but reasonable if u buy bottle than buying singles.

The song you request should play at one point but it just does not happen here. You never get the mic sometimes. Either it is something to do with the dj or the staff doesn't know how to handle a karaoke pub properly.

The place is nice but it takes time to receive your order and sometimes you may have to repeat the order so the waiters remembers. Other than that, the food is great and the price is fair

A karaoke spot by Maitland crescent next to CH, for all you folk who like to sing dance and have a good time! Usually a decent crowd is in attendance. If u get their early you can find a good seating spot as Friday nights tend to be crowded. The food was good considering the pricing. If you drink, u have the option of buying a bottle and banking it in the event it’s not finished. The song book is extensive so you are able to choose to your hearts content whichever era you are from. Would suggest to may be add a few Sinhala classics to switch things up. The service is average as they do not play the songs in sequence that we give them out and usually they miss out on the songs when the crowd is more. Also the staff could be more friendly. Especially the staff should be courteous to the customers who are intoxicated and not provoke incidents. A place we would like to revisit but much room for improvement on the service end.

Visited Sopranos with a few friends. It was completely empty. Staff were comfortable on the couches when we walked in and then all promptly stood up and moved away. Some of the staff are friendly while others have a serious chip on their shoulder, particularly the guy handling the song requests. The food is not great but there is a fair choice on the menu and that includes beverages. prices are reasonable given today's exorbitant prices in most establishments. The quality of songs and mics sound quality are awful. Very outdated. The guy playing the songs seem to deliberately increase the sound to drown out the ability to sing. I was quite disappointed at the level of entertainment in Colombo in general but if it is singing you love - someone recommended the new place - LIV or Stella, quite are far better. One of my friends wore a pair of Birkenstock slippers, which one would know, are very expensive but most comfortable. They are NOT your ordinary rubber slippers, but he was refused entry. A little strange given that the place was completely empty and one would think they'd welcome the business. I was quite sad to see the staff standing idle. Not sure how places like these survive given the costs factors involved. There was one staff member - Senaka, He was very polite and friendly. I was rather surprised that they serve beer with ice cubes. It waters down the beer. I just assumed it is because the beer was NOT cool enough. Yet, NOT a good idea at all. To a great beer drinker it would be a complete NO NO All in all a very disappoint experience.

Place is passing comercial music from 20 years ago and badly mixed. Locals seem to enjoy it as there isn't much better anywhere and DJ don't have their own tracks I hears from macarena to Lady gaga to bob Sinclair very badly mixed a bit of a joke if you used to clubs or establishments in Europe or other developed countries

Don't go to this Sopranos club, because they are taking money from a one customer like he'll....we have to pay entry ticket 1000 and have to pay more for beer.... so please be careful when going to this club...... very dissatisfaction about the club......worst.....

A small well maitained karaoke bar, where the crowd is comprised mostly of people who lv music & lv to sing. You can see people in different age groups. Food & service is great. A place to visit if u lv music. Though other new places hv popped up, it's one of those places where u feel chilled out.

A lovely place. Liked it very much. Had a great crowd of people of differing ages, all enjoying themselves. The selection of songs available at the Karaoke was excellent. Spent a carefree couple of hours there. Would definitely recommend it for those who like to sing and enjoy.

The music was pretty good the problem is DJs will not take any request it's almost like they playing their set and what they like and u stay there and like it or sucks to be. And the bartender need to look at customers in order not based on who they know first. The place is chill. Mix of diff music's will be better.

Love this place, you can really just get involved and let loose and no one cares if you can sing or not. Drink and be merry, no pressure and stay's open late.

Best place to grab a drink and have a sing song!

This will always be my first choice to to kick back and scream a classic song with friends in the late late night. If it's the karaoke you're looking for maybe then going a bit early around 10 would be the best because it gets really crowded after like 1 in the morning on Fridays. Ladies walk in free all the time but there's a small charge for gents on some days depending on the crowd.

You have to wait your turn to get the song your requested, and if the place is crowded, it can take a while. Also, because the songs played are based on what people request, it can be quite a musical rollercoaster ride. I for one was not too fond of that. But, I suppose if you're really drunk, it's ok.

I love the place and the fabulous times we have there! It is however a place you need to be careful during billing. A few people were buying bottles and rounds of shots and they were superb at serving these. A+ for service level. What did happen though was they brought out three bills at different points to the three of us buying shots. Drinking mediocre stuff like Absolut, it took a $500 spend to roughly $1,000 which would translate into each of us having consumed a full bottle of Absolut each plus about 6 rounds of shots each. This quantity for each and every one of the eight people there was unbelievable. Great place to go so just pay the bills all together and if you're still able to, check it. The alternative we were left with was accept it as the cost of having a fabulous night!

What a waste of money and time waiting for a song that never came. We went as a group from singapore and ordered 2 bottles, shots and wine. We also wanted to sing but the DJ acted like he owns the place and only kept playing music to his friends, who didn't even order drinks just sitting and asking for song after song. We went up to him and he just ignored us. My self and my colleagues asked so many times, he kept saying 3 more, 2 more and just didn't give us a song. If your the owner reading this reviews, please fire this DJ as he is rude, no people skills and we spent over 115,000 Lankan rupees and didn't get 1 song all night. We all are very upset and felt he was very unprofessional. This was our last night and right now at the airport writing this reviews. Your karioke DJ made our last nignt horrible, and kept a bad memory of your island with us. I can not recomed this place to anyone who appreciates good service and to sing a song. Don't go here. Unless the karioke DJ is a new one. Time for a change.

Awful DJ who only serves people who provide him with underhanded money to play next songs. I was not aware we had to pay for karaoke. Please ensure this is listed next time as as add on or extra. We came from Stella and this was never an issue
