Very old club. All are allowed. I went there for dinner when I was staying at Colombo Residency hotel. Old building reminds of colonial era. Dim lights, old man serving beer and wine. Food is cheap but average, good with beer. You can sit inside or in verandah or even outside if it's not raining.

The best local place for a beer!! I love it!

very colonial and laid back bar, extremely local in its setting. Conveniently located in the centre of the city with ample parking for vehicles. Since its located close to the sea (no sea view) you can enjoy a nice breeze when you sit in thr garden. This is a little savannah in the middle of the concrete desert. They serve local liquor in shots, it makes it a cheap drinking spot. Standard variety of side dishes and even rice but well prepared. Highly recommend it!

Famous for their unique Kadala Kottu. Liquor prices and food prices are very reasonable. They have outdoor tables. Service is bit slow in a busy day. In fridays they have a walking Calypso Band. Its a small 90s type traditional Sri Lankan bar.

Good price and service. The staff was kind enough to hand me lime juice at the end of the session. Could do way better with some renovations and new furniture. Food was good

Place is good for solo traveller to have local beers or arrack at dirt cheap price but only if you are staying at walking distance

This Place is good for groups with large numbers as there is a huge open area. Ample space for parking also. Friendly staff, and they are very welcoming. There's an old type bar that you can get most of the liquor types. Food is not somewhat ok, but if you want to enjoy some quality food, this is not the place. There's a band with 2 people. You can enjoy the evening with there music. Overall this is a good place to spend some quality time with your friends.

Vespa sports club is one of the oldest colonial type bar and pub. Go and enjoy their hot butter cuttlefish plate

Good place for drink but not for food

A "dodgy"-looking place, as people usually say. Has only a small selection of food. But usually the food is worth the money. You can't take alcohol from the outside. The price on the inside is slightly high, but not by a huge amount like in "posh" places. Has beer, even Stout. Rain can cause issues when there are a lot people, as the indoor space is limited. The service is alright. Somewhat friendly and very experienced waiters. Food that we usually request: fried handallo (හැඳැල්ලො), cheese omlet, kadala kottu. Usually they have gold leaf, but sometimes they have Dunhills too. Cigarettes are slightly overpriced. All in all, a good place for a cheap hang out.

Great place to have some beers and chill. Bit crowded after office hours but definitely nice place to have a beer and spend you evening. Don't expect luxury facilities since this is just a small place.
