Ambiance is nice in the evening. Staff are friendly and service is good. Food is tasty. The Burger patty is a bit of a downer. The patty doesn't have that kick that I was looking for. The pumpkin with eggplant hummus is a hit for me.

It was raining heavily when we alighted from the tuk. This was the first place we encountered. My favourite part of the food was the bread we got for free. It was warm and soft. It was super delicious with the garlic butter. Other than the above, the food was alright. The anchovy appetisers were super salty. I had the baked mahi mahi too. It was overcooked and hard to chew. My companion had the carbonara. It was lacking. The drinks were alright. The music was too loud. It was not conducive for a conversation.

The food was exquisite with a good service and pub. Wonderful for a quite dinner with friends & family.

Amazing food and great atmosphere. Located at park street mews, Café Francais is a great restaurant that serves sumptuous food and has a great variety of drinks. From mocktails and cocktails to a an expansive selection of wine and spirits, it is one of the best beverage menus I’ve ever seen. The atmosphere at night is great with music on weekends and good service. The food is perfectly seasoned and cooked with intense flavor and texture. The food isn’t exactly cheap but it is worth the asking price, since you’re left wanting more. Highly recommended.

Our favorite place to eat and drink! Burgers are delicious and I highly recommend the Tenderloin and the chocolate fondant. The staff is friendly, the French chef always go around after the service to be sure everything was alright.

Nice atmosphere, good menu options and friendly service. Tried one of the burgers. Great presentation. However, the patty was flaky and dry, medium-rare was over well-done and charred. Tree bottom part of the bun was soaked and mushy by juices from the patty. Wasn't a good experience food wise.

Great staff, great ambience and great drinks. I've been going for years and almost no complaints but had a terrible experience with their steak yesterday. Medium rare came barely cooked (almost rare/raw) and I got food poisoning as a result. Not the experience expected for a fairly pricey meal (9000+ for the steak). Here's hoping they look into and ensure the quality of the main courses.

Just had lunch with my friend. The ambiance is pleasant and the service very nice but dissapointed with the food. Ordered pasta bolognaise ... but i was given carbonara. They were nice enough to correct the order. But, we had to wait longer. The owner apologized and offered coffee on the house to compensate. Which was nice. But the coffee was luke warm, also although i asked for capaciano, it came with no steamed milk on top. So the experience was not positive overall.

Highly recommend. Delicious food, excellent service , tasteful decoration and cool ambiance and music ! I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Colombo.

Really nice place to go out with very good atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to eat. Food is prepared by a french chef and courses are very tasty. Burgers are very good and what to say about the meat, tenderloin is awesome. Wine menu is composed of very good french wines which will accompany your course to the perfection.

This place has a good vibe especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Food is good and portions are satisfactory. They got space inside the restaurant for fine-dining too, but the place is famous for its bar. There's a DJ. Outdoor seatings are also available. Good service too.

They serve a good cappuccino. My apple tart was the best I ever had. You must try this cafe if you want something different after eating so much Sri lankan food. We will be back to try other dishes.

I went to Cafe Français for a lunch on Saturday. The place is really well-decorated and the staff is nice. I tried the steak tartare. Absolutely delicious ! One of the best I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend this restaurant !!

Help I need a dentist! What a let down. I was over the moon when I was taken to this place. It could have actually been a place in Europe the lights, ambience...all of it. The menu carried a good selection Not too hungry. I got myself a snack, and I'm glad not the main meal. I ve never tasted calamari rings prepared this way It was as if I was tugging at giant rubber bands. I took a taste of my sisters food (very well presented) and it had a basic taste.. Bullion?? nothing special. If I return its for the ambience and not the food. Ouch!

Because native Sri Lankan have different taste than an European one. He was very interested by my feedback as Sri Lankan living in France.
