Had a blast celebrating small with family after a very long time.. the snacks were also quite tasty and presented well.. the atmosphere was awesome and the bartender was quite efficient.. only downside was that the signs in the corridors of the arcade pointing to the washrooms were literally sending us in circles without actually getting us there... not an issue fully under the control of asylum i guess..

Went for the Happy hour, we were told the drinks are half off but when the bill arrived it was the prices shown on the menu. The waiter tells us the prices on the Happy hour menu is after the discount already. When we sat down he was not clear about this. This is extremely misleading. Cocktails were 1000 plus which is just the regular price nothing half off about this. He tells us the normal price is 3000 plus. Even five star hotels in cmb don't charge so much. This is ripping people off. There are many hotel bars serving Cocktails for the similar price. So how can asylum serve this under the pretense of Happy hour 50% off. Please don't cheat like this

Food was ok just average nothing great for the amount you pay . Service was very slow. This is just a "show off how much you can spend on your date" type of a resturant. The band was horrible , too loud and annoyance . The band playing was just pure annoyance and disturbance. I wish if i could pay the band for not playing any songs till I finish my dinner. The band was nothing but annoyance with no talent just flat out noise to make the customers leave the place. The atmosphere would have been great with out the noise of thd band. The management pay for a band to annoy customers. How horrifying. This place will attract more customers with out a band playing. If the food items are up to high quality, do not need a band to attract customers.

Great service and food from staff. Food here is pricey but with it for the food quality. Extensive menu and great selection of drinks.

Asylum is highly recommended for their catering service which I discovered during Christmas 2020 when I had them cater my Christmas party with all their goodies! After that all my family and friends always ordered from Asylum! From Chef Nishad to Chef Sesha and asylum team they were so accommodating and did an amazing job Everytime I ordered from them! Even in June for my Husband’s birthday when I ordered last they did an amazing job! Keep up the great work!!

Performed at a birthday party and the atmosphere they created was very cool..they had converted the entire restaurant according to how the client wanted. The food was amazing as usual. Highly recommend for dining as well to have ur private functions

Had dinner at Asylum and what impressed me the most was the service. Our server had the right attitude and personality for the job and we appreciated him very much. He had a can do attitude besides his friendly demeanor. The atmosphere was decent but it was a bit empty. Also the fact they didn't have a restroom inside the restaurant premises was a negative attribute. The public restroom was a bit far and had no lighting along the way. We also had a difficult time finding the restaurant in the shopping complex as the signage was bad. The presentation of the food was great. We enjoyed the hummus and the salad but the chicken dish was just average. We wish the salad had more cheese than it actually had as we even inquired if they did put the cheese. The best part of the experience was our server. Would revisit to find out how their happy hour is as we only had fresh juice the night we visited.

Four of visited on a saturday night. Thier cocktails and mocktails are superb. The bar tender is very nice he even makes different cocktails notin te menu too. There is not so large food menu but has some good dishes. There is a great variety of tapaz too. There was great music an the ambience was great too. Super friendly and flexible staff. Cocktails are from the range 700/= meals from 900/= upwards

Super chilled out bar with good service and excellent choice of entertainment. The bar staff make pretty decent cocktails and their food is lovely! Definitely recommend the place for a quiet (or loud) drink for sure

Food is very tasty YUM. Delivery was very quick. Linden was very kind and very helpful! Packaging was superb! All in all everything is superb from the service/taste/packaging /quantity etc. Not only that I had a special food request and Linden agreed to cook that for me & Yes Thank you for that Sugar packet man was drinking Coffee without sugar for last two days:)

Tasty Breakfast - Great Ambience!! On the invitation of a friend, my wife and I visited Asylum Restaurant, located in the centre of Colombo at the stunning Arcade near the beautiful Independence Square. My friend had reserved a table for 3 of us at 0900 on 19th June 2019. The restaurant overlooks the spacious large open garden and the terrace where tables were laid out. We were cordially greeted at entry and shown to a table. A courteous waiter provided the menu which included both Sri Lankan and Western dishes. Our tea came to the table promptly. It took some time for our dishes to arrive on the table. We too were not in a hurry as we came here to chat and enjoy friendly company. There was free Wi-Fi which we however did not use!! The dining rooms and the dining area were spacious and tastefully decorated allowing visitors an enjoyable environment and atmosphere. I was impressed and walked around taking a few photographs to be included with this write up. The food when it arrived was tasty. All three of us enjoyed a great breakfast among close friends. The staff were cordial, courteous and helpful.

Atmosphere & location gives you good vibe. Live band performance is a add on to the experience.staff is friendly. Let's say food is healthy but not tasty. portion size is small. for two We spend 9300/- (without any alcohol drinks). In total its a overpriced mixed experience..

Very nice ambience in the evening. Fantastic, friendly service from the staff. Happy hour from 5-9pm on Sunday. Wide selection of drinks, cocktails and mocktails available. The food was tasty but the portions were fairly small. Very nice pork pizza which is a must try. Desserts were average for the price, specially the Baked Alaska.

Absolutely terrible delivery experience. Not accountable or truthful either. I placed an order at 2pm for a delivery at 7pm. Even at 8pm there was no delivery and numerous calls just went unanswered. Very sad service.

Very consistent on the food. Peri peri chicken is a hit and just so juicy and tender. Good ambience specially for romantic night out or a semi fine dining night. Look into the deserts they were below par. The owner and staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Asylum has come along way since its opening.. and their creative way of enticing customers has worked.. latin nights are a hit. Enjoyed every minute.. people are very friendly. Good and decent crowd. Plus you get to show your skills and be taught at the same time. Kevin Nugera, Gayantha Perera to mention a few names were there to support you. All in all it was great. So find out when it happens and be there with your dancing shoes..

Been there twice. Everytime enjoyed a lot .Food, ambience, service everything was perfect. Love the crablious starter they have. That's a must eat if u go there.
