Calm and quiet place to enjoy a meal with your loved ones. The surroundings are decorated with eye-catching paintings of movies, artists and cartoons. Each table has a QR code for easy and efficient ordering. We ordered their unique collection of Koththu; "Three Cheese Pol roti Koththu", "Pol roti Seafood Koththu" & "Pol roti Chicken Koththu". They all were delicious and tasty. Portion sizes were sufficient too. "Chicken Ham & Cheese Pasta" was mouthwatering but the portion size was small. "Cheesy Chicken bubble waffle" was tasty and can be recommended. The way of presenting the food was wonderful. Expensive prices but its worthy and they do not add any service charge to the final bill. Delivery time was a bit late but the customer service was really appreciated. The parking spaces were limited so it can be a downside. Overall, this restaurant can be recommended for a small gathering.

A super affordable cafe to have food and drinks. The place is really cool and the vibe is great. They have a quite amazing menu. The fruit juices are heavenly. A perfect place to hang out. The only negative point is the difficulty with vehicle parking. There is no parking space at all.

Perfect place to chill at. The sitting areas are separated into 3 sections so even when it's somewhat crowded it feels like it's not. I love the aesthetic here. It's so artistic. You can get some nice pics for insta 😌 Food and drinks are all top notch. And the prices are fair. Some of the tables have power outlets too. The menu is available online and it's up to date.

A nearly ideal location for dining and socialising with friends. The food was surprisingly nice and potions are satisfying for a person. We thought their mojitos were wonderful and a perfect pairing with the meal. You can choose between vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. In my opinion, food is worth the price you spend. In addition, it was a pleasant, comfortable place to hang out and relax. They also don't have a lot of parking, although there is enough for a few cars. The only thing I can think of to propose is that they should improve their deserts beyond what they currently have.

The other major plus point about the place is the pricing of the food. Its so fair compared to many other places. So economical. Potion sizes are more than enough for one person. This is our usual go-to place for work, study, and meals. We have tried their Pol Roti Seafood Kottu, Pol Roti Chicken Kottu with Pan Fried Chicken & Cauldron Gravy, Asian Style Hot & Spicy Mixed Rice, Umbalakada, Pol Sambol & Egg Fried Rice, Served with Cauldron Gravy, Char Grilled Chicken with Butter Garlic Rice & Chilli Lime Salt… and more. Each of them are amazing and have an unique taste. They have never disappointed us in terms of either food or service. Reasonable prices as well when compared other cafes. Great vibe and can take good photos.

Nice place with good ambiance, good vibe. We visited on a Friday evening and it was a bit crowded, almost all the tables were full. Had to wait little longer till the food was served. Ordered a pasta and a pol roti kottu, the pasta was one of the best pasta’s I’ve ever tasted, creamy and delicious. Kottu was also good a bit spicy. Staff was friendly. Recommend.

Food is so tasty and worth for money. Location is good but not have much space and in evening time it is full of customers. So better to go early.

They have implemented a smart ordering system which is very convenient. You can simply scan the QR code at the table, select the items you want and even pay from you credit card. No need to queue up and wait at the cashier at all. Food will be delivered to your table after few minutes. Excellent service.

Superb service! The staff is very polite, attentive and well mannered. The meals are delicious with generous portions at reasonable prices. The interior is very clean, well kept, and cozy. First the place, it has some comfortable seating for individuals , couples and for groups as well . There is some light music that's being played not soo loud because you need to concentrate on the food❤️ Staff is really helpful and food is well served. Good place to spend some quality time.

A really chilled place with amazing food and a really friendly, well trained staff. Loved the vibe of the restaurant with all the paintings, decorations and lightings which create a perfect place for a business meeting, for an evening hangout with friends, for a date or even for some office work with your laptop plugged in. The food is a bit on the expensive side but given the quality and the variety, it's good value for money. You don't need to order physically from the menu and instead you can scan the QR code and place your order so food will be delivered to your table without a hassle.

We had lunch featuring chicken pol rotti kottu and a cheesy chicken bubble waffle. The kottu impressed with a generous portion of well-seasoned chicken, delivering an amazing taste. Despite a few slightly burnt pieces in the bubble waffle, it was undeniably delicious. The Cauldron Blend beverage stood out with its ample serving of whipped cream. The overall presentation was excellent, making this dining experience highly recommendable.

I have been a regular to another neighboring cafe in Stafford Avenue for years ( They say the largest cafe chain in Sri Lanka 😜 ) It was a great place to be around but not anymore. not a good experience you can have by visiting so called Sri Lanka’s largest cafe chain outlet in Stafford Avenue because of the attitude of the management as they don't want to improve even if you give them the honest suggestion as how they can improve the overall customer experience. Slow internet which goes down frequently, Nothing to eat in their food menu & no air condition, dirty washrooms. Then we started to look for an alternative place ☺️☺️ and found this lovely cafe. The Cauldron Great place to work and/or chill from morning to night. Great atmosphere super friendly staff and decent seating arrangements , great menu & super quality food , quick service ( Average time of serving is 15 minutes food ) best thing is you can scan the menu to place your order from the table. The staff was great and provided recommendations. Best thing is always they are with a smile . The place was lively but not packed. The atmosphere was great and quiet for work or studying. The seating area is separated into two indoor areas. The food was great, reasonable prices,the place was clean and the washrooms were clean and tidy. Finally this place is highly recommended for everyone & so called Sri Lanka’s largest cafe chain has lot to learn from this place.

This place used to be good but today it was really unsatisfactory. Food was mostly dry and cold. Coffee was barely hot. Took more than an hour to serve some food after asking more than twice. Quite disappointed

Nice place. The staff is very friendly. And the prices are so reasonable. You can have your bf, lunch, or your coffee while you studying or online working. After I finished my lunch I ordered a caramel macchiato for take away. They wrapped it so safely so i can take it easily. Highly recommend this place.

Fancy venue for having a meal or a small gathering. There are wide variety of tasty food as well as a good collection of beverages. I prefer the cauldron special brew (a beverage with ice coffee and cream on top of it). Though I didn't like the mango smoothie, mojito was quite good. I like the food and the vibe of the venue. A moody place for a chill out.

Rating is low only bcoz of an incident happened when there were so many kids (may be a birthday party, but still the kids were keep coming, it's not started yet i guess) and they were shouting and screaming like a hell, none of the customers could stand with the shouting and someone complained to the staff, asked from them to make it stop, but they didn't even listen to the staff and the staff couldn't control. Well that's the normal way of kids. But I suggest that if they can be given a separate room maybe a sound proof one so that other customers won't be facing any uncomfortable situations like this. We couldn't stay there anymore so I hurried up with my order and went. Other than this, the food is great, didn't like the rice though and my favorite is kochchi waffles. I always order via Uber eats and wud like to suggest reducing little bit of bell peppers to rice packs but I still resist to dine in bcoz of this incident. Other than this, the place is great.

A place for young adults. Food was freshly made and the tea was good. Very pleasant staff. Ché and the Christmas decoration was interesting. Overall, if you love to checkout new places, and try some roast paan with seeni sambol, go there.

It's a nice little cafe with pretty interesting menu and really helpful staff. The menus is painted on the wall at the reception and they do have some interesting combinations. We had a pol roti chicken kottu, spicy chicken waffle, ice tea and chilli hot chocolate. I must say the Pol roti chicken kottu was amazing. It was a blend of Pol roti, chicken Cheese and seasoning with a side of gravy. That gravy was simply out if the world. Spicy chicken waffle was all really good how ever it was doused with Tabasco or some sort of vinegar based hot sauce. Interesting to see a chilli hot chocolate how ever the for it neither chilli part nor the chocolate part was right. Over all I would recommend the place

I tried The Couldron just recently. Loved the menu there & the overall ambience well suited for a casual meetup with friends & family. The food was quite unique & very novel. Such a pity that it closed off at 11pm (though completely reasonable) cuz if given the choice we'd have ordered a few more snacks & chilled for another hour or so. My favourite dish was the Pol rotti koththu. A must try!
