One of the best hangout spots in Colombo with great music, trendy crowd, and superb food and beverages. They have both indoor and outdoor seating facilities with some great views of the adjacent lake. They charge an entrance fee of Rs. 1,000 per person however its reimbursable for purchases at the bar. Staff is helpful, however the service seems a bit slow during Fridays and weekends due to the large crowd. Overall, its a great place a great vibe.

It was a bad experience which I had today . On my short vacation I visited to colomBar with Some of my friends . Unfortunately the staff ask us to leave the place since I was not wearing a long pants and not with the shoes. I was surprise with the behavior of a 5 star hotel staff. I have been to so many hotels around the world but till today I didn’t face any dissatisfaction incident like this . I think it’s high time the management should think in different open mind if we want to develop the tourism industry in SL. At the same time please explain the staff what is Birkenstock Sandals.

Good place 🍻 Nice Crowd, Good Music and affordable rates. Ideal place for friends and friendly gatherings + Birthdays + Anniversary Celebrations. Food was okay but freshness should be improved more. Hope everything will recover after the renovation and reconstructing process. Till that stay chill 🍻 Highly Recommended.

One of my favourite places to be for a chillax evening or for a party mode. I usually goto Colombar⁩ which is now located at the WaterFront Lawn. (Dock where the Dinner Boat is parked) They have LIVE band music throughout the week and also special all-day events from time to time. Prices : Colombar⁩ prices are faily reasonable being a 5 star hotel pub in Colombo. And they do offer combo deals where when Bottle is purchased the chasers & a bite dish is Free of charge. The staff is very friendly and supportive. I go for the Local Arrack / Gin option usually. Get a table beside the lake for a nice breezy evening or a table close to the band stage onthe opposite side for a more rocking and party mode.

I went to this place with my friends yesterday it was good and we got seafood pasta. The food tasted good. But I was food poisoned after eating it and today got admitted for half a day due to a terrible stomach pain. Was purging from 3-4 hours after having it which ends up to say that the food was either spoilt or not cooked in the correct manner. Being a famous hotel I think it's necessary to take care of the hygiene of the food served at any cost. Very bad experice and will not reccoment it to any other friends. Thamk God for my friends since they were drinking and did not eat much at all. Nevatha

Best hangout spot in Colombo right now, specially on Fridays thanks to the amazing bands performing. Alcohol prices are very considerate even though the food menu can be a bit hard on the pocket. Anyhow, the food is amazing and a good night out is guaranteed. The staff is on top of their game, so no complaints there either. Would recommend to anyone who is not sure where to head out for a bite and some drinks.

Very entertaining place. Good place to hangout with friends and chill. Live band playing and crowded environment. Drinks and food available to order. Would have preferred more variety of food items. But food was delicious. Had a great time there. Would recommend if u want to have loud music, good food and dance the night off....

The vibe and the atmosphere was not good at all. Smelled like a smoke bomb just landed next to our table. . I did not like the crowd because they were very drunk and eyeing on us like they were about to rob us. Food was bad and it was extremely spicy. We did not even finish our meal just ate some of it and left because we felt some drama or a fight was about to happen and no point staying there and eating spicy junk.

If you gonna drink alcohol they have good variety but food menu isn't that vast enough. They have a Sri Lankan food mixed with the international combination. Good ambience.

We were there last night. Great ambience lovely music..thanks to Shavindra for an amazing performance. The cocktails were great..however the Seafood Combo was a disaster 🤪 I didn't expect a star class hotel to serve such platter. The vadai was burnt and when told...they didn't even bother to get us fresh ones. There was no hurullo with tomatoes as described in the menu. Spicy fries were not spicy at all. This would be the first and the last visit to Colombar I guess 😆

Great place to have a drink, dine and dance

This is a lovely place with a lovely atmosphere. Went in a Wednesday evening and it was packed. Although would have hoped the authorities were more insistent towards social distancing etc. Anyways the band was good which provided a good atmosphere. Only thing about this place is that the alcohol is Arrack-based only. So you need to be a fan to enjoy here.

Experience was average. Food and cocktail portion is not that great. I was expecting much tastier food from cinnamon but food was average. Koththu and black pork was good, tender chicken was good. Cryspy chicken dish was over cooked. They serve cocktails on small jam bottles. 😢

Friday night was fully packed. Without reservations they won’t let you in. The vibe was good. There was a live Band and a Dj played well. But the food and beverage took more than 1 1/2hrs to serve. The staffs are not that helpful.

They charge 3,000/ only to enter the larger space under the tent which has good music. If they take reservations they direct you to the old colombar in the small area with a vibe that feels like walking into a family wedding. Disappointed. Never going there again.

Lovely ambiance facing the lake. If you preferred you can sit outside main hut closer to the lake which is ideal during pandemic times. Live band is superb too. Almost all the cocktails are Sri Lankan arrack based and they are unique in taste and presentation.

Band and music is great. They played really well. Good for dance. Food is averaged. Location is great. Staff is not welcoming also there is 5 6 people working in cashiers but it’s hard to find one man to make order and they are busy with cash counting. They didn’t know what is available or not in the kitchen. They allow as to order some foods after closing the kitchen and afterwards they told us that items not available and please change your choices. Tables/ seats are not clean after people leave the place. Cat are around the eating area and not acceptable in 5 star level hotel. Overall not happy about experience. Not worth of entry fee.

Sunday Nights are alittle Chill and not sooo crowded, better than Fridays n Saturdays

The food is really not worth the price . The flavor is really not upto standard. They charge alot of money for very bad food. I wouldn't recommend this place for any kind of food . Not at all worth the money. It's a rip off. Please try it if you don't believe me !! Very salty and the quantity is not at all satisfactory! And also very late with the food . Very bland gravy with the egg rotti!

This is regarding the unpleasant experience I had while I visited Colombar with a couple of friends yesterday (11/06/2022). The Restaurant and Bar Manager-KAPILA was beyond rude and condescending. He treated guests poorly and had no regard or respect towards his staff members as well. He tends to certain guests inconsistently while being extremely attentive towards a few guests. We are highly disappointed with the quality of service at this renowned bar and this is absolutely the worst experience we ever had at such a prestigious hotel.

A place of full potential undone by the quality and taste of the food. ColomBar has got a good atmosphere, great place to hang out, good music and affordable drinks. Then there's the food, creative dishes beautifully presented and yet still can't hide the lack of taste. We ordered the Egg and cheese roti as a starter, sliced into 8 pieces its served with an egg curry. Both the roti slices ans the curry were extremely salty. Then we ordered Egg kottu and Fish Roe Beignets. The egg kottu served with an egg sunny side ( dry not runny) on top, no gravy, no sauce and either one would've done wonders because the kottu was dry. No taste other than chilli powder. The Fish Roe Beignets were also served without a sauce. Every thing on the plate, the beinets, the fried red chilli and curry leaves (garnish) were all just one big oily mess It's a great concept to have a very Sri Lankan themed bar but the food side of things need to be looked into asap.

Colombar at Cinnamon Lakeside is nice and it indeed is a good place to chill. The nicest thing about the place is its view, which is pretty much stunning. Other than that, the rest was quite average, which is a bit disheartening. The food is okay, but not the best in comparison to the price you've got to pay for them, and it took them good half-hour to 45 minutes to bring our drinks. Nevertheless, they've got a nice collection of Colombar Special Cocktails. Especially the "Gara Yaka" cocktail was a nice refreshing taste on the palate. There was live music at the location but it did little to no good as there was no flow to the music. Sometimes they'd play high beat songs that got the dance floor up and running and then all of a sudden they'd play a slow song and the crowd would disperse gradually. That really turned down the vibe at the location. Other than that, the service was okay, but honestly, considering the location and the reputation the place has got, they could really improve a lot more and provide a better dining experience.

Location is the most exciting thing here where you have the famous Beira lake beside of the seating area while enjoying a drink. Liquor prices are same where you have to expect from star class hotel bar. Food is not the best but ok. They have musical events there on some days which you have to buy special tickets to enter.

One of the best upcoming bars in Colombo! The best cocktails for sure. All the flavors are island themed, definitely lets you go down the lankan memory lane. The atmosphere is super chilled, in both temperature and vibes! The bar is situated overlooking the lake which gives a slight chill and its super calm. The staff is amazing, giving the usual Sri Lankan hospitality, wearing modern themed sarongs to match the theme. I have to give a special shout out to Namal , Haadee & Basita! They served us really well, super friendly and gave us good recommendations on food and drinks, the service was quick aswell! The band that was playing was really great aswell!

Extremely poor service. Booked both royal thai and colombar. We had the dinner at the royal thai and went to colombar but they refused the reservation. I understand having empty seats till we come from royal thai is a loss. But it should have been told earlier that we can’t book two outlets at once. Since we were at their hotel they should have kept the reservation. The way they spoke to guests are really unprofessional. Don’t recommend anyone this hotel.
