I come to this restaurant every time I’m in Colombo Always has great food. I love their chicken but this time it was not hot and a bit dried out We still enjoyed our meal My husband and I had chicken biryani, naan bread as they had no parata, curd salad, and onion salad It’s still a great feed at the Hadramout Restaurant in Colombo Sri Lanka We will be back again who was service crew he's not smile not welcome he take oder from far a way the owner should tell them how to impress the customer service then this will be a more people going to come and enjoy there meal

During our last visit to the restaurant, we found that their mandi was decent but still not worth the money and time. Our food took over an hour to come, it was really bad in taste & didn't meet expectations. On top of that, there were no private spaces which made us feel quite uncomfortable.

It was fine dinning place, Arab dinning style. Recently I felt the food is not to the standards, quality and the taste has dropped. I hope it will improve more.

Good experience in Supra methods, cost worthy, meals are best..

Best Mandi rice place in the town. Prices are reasonable. Middle eastern style of dine in arrangement such as seating on the ground and eating from the sawan in the first floor. Good place to try “Mandhi” even better if you go with a group. Negatives: No parking facilities. Had to park on the road side which is also, really a frustrating task. Parking is a severe issue. At least in the day time. Average and compact interior and not a great ambience.

Quite small place thar offers delicious food. Downstairs you get tables and chairs to sit and dine. However, upper floor is for more traditional Arabic way of eating. Food is really delicious with a good customer service.

Overall the food was norm... The BBQ chicken was good but yet the chicken was with skin.... A good place for friends/family. There service was good... Affordable prices with good quantity. They give us our order quick and its warm at the same time, so I loved that. Middle East type sitting was also there. It would be much more appreciated if they can give us some spicy red gravy..., because Normally most of us would like it... They don't accept card payment!!! If i would rate this place , I would give 08 out of 10 Very recently I visited and they have newly made up there interiors and that's way more better than the old shop...

Preparation after order made, Quick serve, and friendly staff. But I feel like Sri Lankans need gravy for any rice, specially Biriyani is dry type. To bring that authentic taste

The ambience was good and separate seatings are impressive but The experience was ok because they don't accept card payments and the food is average

We had Half chicken BBQ Biriyani & Curd salad for lunch. The food was okay and sales staff seems friendly. Since myself and husband are not good eaters, we asked the waiter to pack it for us. We didn't even touch one piece of chicken and ate only a small portion of one piece. The waiter took it inside to the kitchen and handed over us the packed food to take away. It was very DISSAPOINTING to see that they have taken out all chicken (Both the entirely untouched portion and what is left from the other chicken part). Its a shame to see ONLY RICE and salad packed when we came home to eat. We were starving and its disgusting to eat only rice with salad which was packed by them. We have never ever encountered such CHEAP ACTS from any restaurant in Sri Lanka & its a shame on you "Hadramout Restaurant"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its not a simple ignorance or carelessness of employees but an act of a very cheap cheating. We have paid Rs. 2,500 rupees for BBQ Chicken Biriyani and it was only rice when they parceled. And Its even funny we thanked the staff for the service not knowing they do such cheap acts when packing food. LOL Hope the management would see this COMMENT and ensure that other customers would not face a similar disappointment. I have included pictures of bill and the initial food plate. Please don't disappoint customers with cheap acts!!!! Never Ever Recommend this place to anybody.........

This restaurant situated in Colombo Maradana deans road. it's near to maradana food city it's approximately 400m from Maradana Junction it's approximately 800m from town hall ( Colombo municipal Council ) Food quality and environment very good condition.... but price is very high...

I visited there once to have a dinner with some of my friends and we had chicken biriyani sawas for three people. undoubtedly it's one of the best biriyani have ever eaten,it was delicious 🤤 & more than worth the price You can dine in both downstairs & upstairs & in upstairs you can sit on floor & eat in Arabian style.they have wide varieties of delicious food to choose & must try place if you are a biriyani lover

Excellent taste Arabian foods,They have been maintaining the same level of quality from the inception. BBQ and Mutton Mandi rice are two favorite of mine , you should try it 😋😋 Family seating arrangements on the first floor is the best choice to choose this restaurant for your meal

The best arabic food you can try in the town. Food was delicious. They have kafsa and mandi rice too. The bbq was awesome. Upstairs, they have seating arrangements even for families. Only problem is you have to be patient some time for food to arrive. There is a small parking space available. Fully air conditioned outlet.

Had a tasty Mandhi rice 🍚 with Indian style beef curry 🍖 and Garlic naan rotti recently with my friends. So tasty and we'll prepared for dinner. An Arabian sitting style restaurant 👌 A better place to have dinner with family and friends in Colombo central ☺️

It was just wonderful restaurant , i loved the traditional ambiance and The islamic vibes... Taste was amazing. We ordered chicken Mandi and speghatti. Actually we had to go all 3 times at same restaurant because of the taste and easy. Butter naan and BBQ also superb. But the portion is ok. Not too much Highly recommended.

Tried their special mandi rice and it was delicious and their mutton soup was amazing. You can have food in Supra method(seating on the floor) in upstairs. Not recommend their burger items😶 but definitely visit again to try their mandi rice.

Interesting setup sitting on the floor on the 1st floor. We had Naan with a red beef curry. It was excellent. Its a very islamic environment unless that is a concern I would recommend the place and experience.

Worst place to eat if your hungry. It takes at least about 1 and hour to receive the food. And the attitude of the staff is so poor they treat you like you have come to beg for food. AVOID

This place does not live up to the hype that's created about it. Orders take a very long time to prepare & they have a nasty habit of accepting the order saying it will be ready in 15 minutes & then declining the order after making you wait for 50 minutes, giving excuses like we need to get fresh vegetables, we are preparing the phone orders etc. The chicken submarine was very bland, lacked any flavour, lacked cheese, lacked mayonnaise & mostly contained only onions. The shawarma also contained the same filling with barely any flavour. Not worth the price paid as there are many places with similar prices that do a far better Job. Would definitely win a prize for the worst food contest! Overall Hadramout is best avoided like the plague!

The most Worst experience going there to have the dinner , they think we eat for free. Never recommend any one to visit the place. Waiters doesn't know to treat their customers. Very arrogant people. You go to restaurant to have a good time but they made the day worst. If you're hungry don't ever visit the place.

The food is great and authentic! BBQ Arabian rice is a favorite. However the service is beyond terrible. Getting a water bottle to drink can take up to 20 minutes and then you have to wait for glasses that never come. They even do not have enough plates for meals :/ Their service needs some drastic changes for the overall betterment of the place!

Good place. Need to try out their special dish which is the mandi rice. Do not go for the burger and submarine. 1st floor the seating is sitting on the floor. Usually is crowded on weekends and you might have to wait. Take away is available. Car park is also available.

Good food. This place is good for mandhi & kabsa rice. If you want to have an experience of eating food while seated on the floor, this is the place. Worth for money. Despite the limited staff available, servers try their best to give a good service. But bit of a crammed place.
