A simple place with some hearty Sri Lankan meals. Since, I was in search of some authentic Sri Lankan food, my tuk tuk driver suggested this place. I tried their rice - curry platter and watalappan. Truly delicious and fulfilling. ❤️

On 27th Jan 2023, I visited this place for breakfast, I ordered Vegetable Rice & Curry and it's priced at Rs.300/- only with 3 curries and less rice portion. This is the only restaurant in the entire city of Colombo where a Vegetable Rice & Curry meal costs this much. I don't understand how they can do this to people. It's okay to pay Rs. 300/-, they at least provide 4 or 5 curries with rice. They are doing the worst job in the city for the people in this food and economic crisis situation in Sri Lanka. I am totally disappointed.

I recommend SL food, i tried Biriyani but it was hopless. But the SL food was the best. The fries fish was yummy. To dine inn i was not that comfortable how ever over all everything is ok.

We have ordered sea food fried rice through Uber eats which we really disappointed. We paid Rs. 1000 per one portion which is not even worth for Rs. 500. We will never order again and not even recommend for anybody.

Amazing and authentic food I can highly recommend. The staff is super friendly and is welcoming you with the biggest smiles ever.

I usually buy my lunch here during weekends. Back then, the taste & quality of the food was spot on. But, the quality, taste and the quantity of their food is getting worse now. They charge rs:600 per yellow rice pack, but the food is not worth for that price. The food served today was so spicy and not tasty. I think you should focus more on food quality & the standard than of cost-cutting.

I have ordered a Chicken cheese kottu for Rs.1200/- from uber on 29/11/2022. Potion was only a half of the box. Totally disappointed on food potion.

Very dissapointing experience. Ordered chicken fried rice. It's was just plain rice. The portion was just half of the box. You can literally count the number of carrot and leek pieces. For the reference, a killo of carrot was around 180 Rupees at the time. Attached photo will give you a better idea. Not recommend at all.

Ordered Chicken Biriyani via Pickme. For the price it's pretty ok I d say. Generous portion size with above average taste. You get a fried chicken piece (which is not a quarter) and a fried egg with fried brinjal. There was no chutney as in a standard Biriyani which is a negative point. You can't expect standard Biriyani taste but for the price its ok. It's for you to decide to order.

A tuktuk driver recommended this place and it did not disappoint! The food is flavourful, hygienic and the portions are big! I have the fried chicken that comes with 4 curries and rice and drinks for 1000 SLR! Absolutely recommend it!

This is a great place to having your lunch and dinner. Lunch they have various items like curries. Dinner they have fried rice noodles soups and etc. prices are reasonable. Clean nice calm place

Really amazing plant based food. Crafted with love and amazing spices. Healthiest and best food in Mirissa. I especially loved the variety of different curries and salads.

Wide range of food options. Very tasty Sri Lankan Menus are available. Meat options are limited to 3 or 4. But ideal to taste authentic varities.

The selection on the menu did little to redeem the dining experience. Limited options, coupled with uninspiring choices, left much to be desired. The absence of some classic dishes that are typically found in reputable Indian restaurants was a notable drawback.

this place was a great find. The food is delicious and super authentic. It’s full of Sri Lankans and very affordable. We went twice. Staff lovely and so happy to see you enjoying the food.

This is an excellent spot to grab a Sri Lankan curry and rice meal. You can pick from a wide assortment of curries, buffet style. Prices are inexpensive and the food is quite flavorful.

The food was alright, nothing special we had better food elsewhere. The rip off was the beer, charged us 500 per CAN to open it!! The food was affordable, but therefor we paid 1500 per CAN of beer!! Beer is not on the drink menu, probably for a reason. We certainly won’t go back.

We paid 5000 Sri Lankan rupees for 2 portions of rice and curry, which I'm sure the other people didn't have to pay. 2 stars for the excellent food, -3 stars for ripping us off. This is a nogo! 😡

Homemade mixed curries in a buffet fashion. Yummy, clean and friendly service with plenty of tables to sit down. Also take away. Will be back!

Restaurant need more workers since they cant handle the on peak lunch time. saw few clients angry about it and manager asked him to leave rudely. food is not best and charges more than other restaurants. not the best if you compare with restaurants.

Lovely curry buffet with affordable prices and warm service. They had some delicious curries like mango-tamarind that we haven’t come across much in other places during our trip. :)

Great spot for lunch out of the busy centre. Views wer of the cost, however, not really visible as sat inside with bars on the windows, but don't let this put you off. The food was all behind the serving counter ready for you to chose what you wanted or you could order other meals Coles to order. Had two delicious vegetarian curries with about 6 different foods on each of them and 2 drinks and it came to less than £3!!!!! Great first meal in Sri Lanka and got us in the mood for many more curries to come

One of the best place to eat authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry in the city area of colombo. Lots of meats and vegetables varieties available specially in the lunch time.

We had a great and delicious meal with lots of traditional Sri Lankan food. Everything was freshly prepared when we arrived at lunchtime, the service was excellent and it was very cheap too. We ordered enough food for three people and only payed 2200 LKR in the end, which is less then 7€. I can highly recommend this place when visiting Colombo!

Very nice Sri Lankan dishes. There's a big variety of dishes to choose from. There's a menu in English with clear prices. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

This is a decent place for office goers who want a quick and hardy meal. They have a lot of curries spread out that you can select from.. They have options for mutton, fish, squid, chicken (curried and fried) eggs etc. The options are all rice based with the option of white or yellow rice. They have several salads and vegetables. Overall a good place to eat if you have a spicier pallet. Overall, a great place for Sri Lankan cuisine.

Bought a Vegetarian Lunch charged 380/= was very much disappointed with the quantity of the curry’s served , Further the person who packed the lunch didn’t follow the instruction and packed different curries than what was requested. Hope authorities bring in a standard for lunch packets which are charged at the market rate but upto the standard. Will be avoiding this place in the future.

Very good food and helpful staff, one thing I would say as a Brit is that choosing your curry ingredients a tad more carefully would be advised as there are one or two things on offer with a serious tang.

I ordered fish yellow rice from here. They put a fish peice so big that it can be seen from outer space. (it was tiny). I'd recommend getting veg rice and curry from here. Cause you can pick the Veggies and it's pretty good. Chicken/fish curry get it from elsewhere

super budget option to eat local cuisine, 2 servings with shrimp came out 1400 rupees, in some cafes only smoothies cost so much.

3.5 stars — The food was good value for money at only 580 rupee for rice, chicken and 4 side dishes. The only drawback was it was still too spicy for me although i’d asked the restaurant for something non spicy (guess it cannot be helped because the spiciness tolerance of locals is very high 😅) I personally won’t come back for this reason although I want to but if you can handle it then it’ll be great for you.
