Excellent Thai food.. Very friendly service.. Lovely ambience.. Great place to enjoy some authentic Thai food.. BYOB is allowed corkage free.. There is both indoor and outdoor dining.. Seating indoor is not very comfortable.. Pricing is bit on the high side.. But good portions.. If you love Thai looking for options in Colombo.. Highly recommend!!

If you want to try Thai food, you must visit this place. The chef is from Thailand, and her food is excellent. I accidentally went to this place before Christmas in 2022 and tried their glass noodle; it was so yummy.

One of my favourite go-to places in Colombo, especially for Thai food. Food tastes amazing and very spicy 🔥 love it. Most of the Ingredients seems to be authentic and you see Dao sometimes picking herbs and chilies in the garden. Time to time Dao her self comes and great the guests and that was so sweet of her. Tom yum soup here probably would be my favourite together with the Spicy Thai fried rice which I usually order with a minced pork dish. Thai milk tea is to die for. Definitely a must try place to those who love Thai food or/and wanted to eat something really spicy and yummy ❤️🔥

The best Thai restaurant in Colombo for sure! We had the chicken Pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh and prepared in the moment. We met Dao, the owner, that came to chat with us to make sure everything was ok. For desserts we had the mango sticky rice (the best we had, try it!) and coconut ice cream. They accept cash as well as cards.

Surprisingly good Thai food in Colombo. We were craving for Thai food and found this restaurant. The restaurant was quite empty at lunchtime which made us suspicious. But the food proved us wrong. It first seems a bit pricey, but portions are very generous, we couldn’t finish. The green curry with chicken brought me straight back to Thailand. It was as good as the best ones we had in siam. Not too sweet, creamy, intense, but could have been more spicy. The fried morning glory was just as good. The fried rice looked a bit strange in the beginning, because they use round corn rice instead of Thai rice. Taste was very good, but the pork was too fat. Finally the chicken with cashew nut was very good, the chicken was even deep fried as the original recipe calls for. You don’t even find that often in Thailand. Taste was different than the ones in Thailand, cashew nuts were very few. The garden seating is quite nice. There is even a part we’re the grow their own herbs and vegetables. All in all a great experience, if we forget about the hair in the fried rice.

Krua Thai by Dao was founded by Ms. Dao after she decided to move here from Thailand. Her idea was to maintain a warm environment offering a range of foods from Thailand's street food culture.

Awesome food - not too oily and served really quickly. Staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations. From the looks of other customers, is genuinely Thai and the owner is also Thai. Excellent to recommend to anyone. Tip: The crispy beans is kind of raw - watch out for that unless you like that kind of thing 😅

The food here is pretty authentic & is prepared by its Thai chef-owner. The place offers both indoor and outdoor dining. However dine-in space is insufficient due to its small scale. The Thai Fried Rice was tasty but a tad bit overpriced. The Pad Thai Noodles were above average. We also ordered some Chicken Sate, which tasted decent with the accompanying sauce but was not worth the price. The Fish Cakes we ordered were decent and had a hint of lemongrass. The service here is a little better than the likes of Pilawoos. TL;DR: The place offers some authentic Thai food but is a bit overpriced.

Best place to have thai food in Sri Lanka. Atmosphere was amazing with a lot of antiques and good music from 2000’s. The service was so friendly and efficient. They gave some recommendations which were very helpful. The food was out of this world. Loved every bite. From just the plain steam rice to bok choy and mushrooms, spicy fried pork and mango salad were super tasty that I felt that my taste buds are having an orgasm. The coconut ice cream for desert was an additional star. Hats off. Best Thai food place in colombo so far

One of the best Thai restaurant in colombo.Foods are delicious. Staff is really good.very nice & calm place.well maintained building.Outside seating is avaliable.Prices are litlebit high but it's worth.They have lotsof food verities.My favourite dish is Tomyum soup.Thai food lovers you should try this place. Tip: Their seafood dishes are the killer ! Make sure to order a dish when your there… Real good place to visit for Thai food ! Must visit, Tom Yum, Fish Cakes, Red Curry were some of the highlights. I have had a lot of Thai Food in my life. This is easily the best I have ever had. We originally ate here in 2019 at another location and tracked it down when we returned to Colombo. We will return every time we visit Sri Lanka.

Lovely garden setting. We both had the Pad Thai and it was delicious. We also met the owner, Dao, and chatted to her briefly. Lovely woman who moved here from Thailand. If you fancy some great Thai food, go and support her and eat here.

We ordered Beef Padthai, chicken green curry & steamed rice..! Thai Ice tea wasn't available due to the current situation however, food was great! Enjoyed our lunch! We'll definitely come back!

Bangkok comes to Colombo because the food is authentic and has amazingly great flavour. The portions are very generous and will blow your mind. Larb is tasty 👌 Dao is awesome 👍

Had the lunch there today. Overall impression was 'meh..' . Cons: Pork fried rice for test ride. All fried rice plates go around 1700 to 2500 per meal. My meal was 1575 with 10% service charge. Taste , ordinary. One may say too oily. Not up to the prices at all. I didn't go any further than this meal, may be other meals are good. But they should certainly improve on their foods or cut down on their prices for a different crowd. Foods were not well served as well. Pros: well maintained environment may be for a little bit of a meeting or for a chat. Washrooms were clean . Loved the decos. But chairs weren't very comfortable.

Great and recommended for Thai cuisine. Nice atmosphere with interior design and great hospitality in staff Dao is very friendly and she showed her talent on thai red paste curry. Also she offered a free dessert to us. Overall it is a good experience with thai cusine. Rate star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Best Thai food i have tried outside of Thailand! A very nice place, peaceful ambience, interior, made with love, great outside seating. The food was above any expectations! Truly thai feast in your mouth! The owner/chef is the loveliest lady, who even grows her own basil, galangal, pepper and many more in her garden. So you can imagine how fresh and authentic is the taste. Super highly recommended! Dao, thanks a million for your food, hospitality and kindness! We will be back soon;-)))
