No complains! The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was pretty crowded for a Wednesday night but still the staff managed to do well without any delays. The atmosphere is really nice and good to hangout for couples, families or groups. Their menus feature a lot of options form different cuisines. Cocktails, mock-tails and a whole lot of other beverage options are available as well Highly recommended!

A must visit restaurant in Colombo. The ambiance and the live music is pure bliss. The food is filling and wonderful. Great care from the staff who will make your experience worthwhile. Simply superb!

On the Park Street the new Monsoon is a very refreshing place . We were there for drinks and I think it has the best Cocktails in Colombo . The staff is very warm especially to mention Asanga .

The food was fabulous. Atmosphere, vibe and the music is lovely. The service of the staff is excellent. All the dishes we ordered were mouthwatering and we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. The food is a bit expensive but it’s totally worth the price. Hats off to the Chef.

Pros: Unbelievable vibe. Super cozy and warm atmosphere. A solo guitarist was playing and it was so soothing. Service is good and professional. Food is good and can say its worthy for what you pay. Cons: Cocktails how ever has low value for money, you get half a glass of drink for what u pay. They charge VAT and service charges which sums up roughly 1/5 the total bill. Going through the reviews I saw that VAT has not been charged on some bills. May be its there from certain amount upwards 🤷 Overall its well recommended for a romantic date night or for a cozy private dinner out.

Monsoon is a south-east asian restaurant at park street. Yummy foods with a great ambiance. They have really nice vibe even at their washrooms. We went there about 3 in the evening for a late lunch. Ordered Hiananese chicken rice from mains, yum cha epicurean starter basket from monsoon brunch menu, chocolate milkshake and passion mojito from beverage menu. Yum cha starter basket for 2 pax and it was included asian crispy fried squid, sriracha chicken wings, malaysian crispy chili beef, and malaysian stir-fry prawns. Since I’m not a beef eater they were kind enough to add extra into other portions with the removal of beef portion. Staff was also friendly and helpful.

The food was terrible, I asked for a Vietnamese plate what I got has nothing to do with Vietnam. Same for the Singapore plate. They don’t know how to cook the food. Basically they went on youtube and they cooked it. The chicken satay looked like just a minced meat dark and kept falling apart. Also the orders took 30 min to be served. The noodles were saggy and the lime was as old. I don’t recommend the place this is a fake restaurant. It took them forever to bring the check and the pineapple juice was terrible foam only with a taste of old pineapple. There were flies roaming around the plates.

Beautiful place with an excellent vibe. A great choice for a date night or a hangout with friends. I loved the Bami Goreng and Malaysian Chicken Satay. The Nasi Goreng was just okay. There were many drink options, all of which were good. The spring garden drink was enjoyable, but I wouldn't recommend Peach Blossom. Unfortunately, the dessert options were limited and could be improved. You can request to customize your order if you want to exclude seafood from certain dishes. The service was excellent, and the waiters were friendly. You can dine indoors and outdoors, and they also offer live music. Please note that there's a 10% service charge plus government taxes around 15-20%.

Love the vibe, the music, the food, and the washroom 😅... reasonably priced too.. service is fantastic. I heard it is full in the evening and on weekends.

A great restaurant with a great ambience and great music. The menu doesn't feature a tonne of options but the dishes they have are really good. I tried the Nasi Lemak and it was pretty good. However, I was not a big fan of the Banana smoothie.

Hands down one of the best places to dine in Colombo. Imma Raye 10/10 for all food, atmosphere and the service. Good for a chill out as well as for a date. Last I went I had a virtual date and they brought me a candle to go with it which I didn't even ask :) so grateful and will surely be getting back there once the lockdowns are finally done

Monsoon Colombo has a pretty impressive menu. It also has a bar attached to it. The restaurant by itself needed upkeep as we did not find it kept clean and neat. A lot of paint is peeling off the walls (I guess this happens in Monsoon). The food was just average. We ordered pork chops and they were just about ok. (There are better places for pork chops in Colombo). The Vietnamese rolls were just about average and so was the Thai Papaya Salad. Overall I would give it a miss if I had the choice.

Went for happy hour which was pretty worth it. Buy one get one free and the drinks were yummy. We ended up staying for dinner and everything we had was good, the portions were big enough to share. The service was excellent. A little pricy but worth it for what you’re getting

I'd rate Monsoon a strong 3.8 out of 5. The tamarind margarita? A definite winner! Thai curries were decent, but the nasi goreng and other Indonesian dishes stole the show taste-wise. However, the mango sticky rice was a letdown—the mango wasn't ripe and sweet. I'd suggest steering clear of the Thai dishes overall, as they missed the mark on flavor. Service-wise, the staff's spot-on, and the location's top-notch!

Atmosphere: 10/10 I haven't been to anyplace yet that had the subtle yet ominous atmosphere like Monsoon. The entire place is photogenic! The lighting is very dim but that goes well with the environment. Service: 9/10 The crew is very friendly. We reserved the place before hand for no cost and they were very helpful. Food: 7/10 The portion is good. It may look small but its quite too much for one person. However there are few selections that doesn't go well. I wouldn't recommend "Phad Thai" its too sour and bitter. I had the pleasure of eating Nasi Goran and Bami Goran and they are perfect 👌. Drinks: 7/10. Drinks prices are a bit off. But they are good. I would however stay away from fruit based drinks as they are basically just water. Except tamarind fizz (which is liquid gold).

Good place for East Asian food ! They have a very good range including Vietnam, Indonesia, Thai and Philippines (I think) They have a in-house bar with a good selection of cocktails / mocktails. The seating area is well lit with a very decent size crowd. The place is inside Mews so would recon to call and book before going as it can get packed really fast !

So this is the first time I actually ate at monsoon although I have been to other restaurants at park street mews v many times. I believe they have an extensive menu on weekdays since today was a Saturday they had a very compact simple menu. We ordered the bao buns one pork and one tofu both were really good. Then ordered a cappuccino I believe the coffee was an in house blend it was really good too. For mains I tried there pork rice set menu and my wife being a vegetarian on that day she did not have much to pick and had only two options the Thai green curry set menu or the Singapore curry, and finally went ahead with the Singapore dish. You can check them out on the pics. The pork rice was good but not the best. But the Singapore curry was very bland and my wife did not enjoy it much. However since the full menu was not available I can’t judge overall but based on the menu we had it was decent not bad and not too great. I would rate this place 4 / 5 But the environment was pretty chill laid back and relaxing. I don’t think it will be a regular place for me and I would not look forward in going there often. As there is so much better options in the same remixes like kuuraku or chambers, but I don’t dislike monsoon. However I can recommend the place as a pretty chill place.

The food is yummy and so is the atmosphere. Actually the food and drinks are great. But if you wanna go to wash room, just remember there is no water 💦 but tissues 🚽. It's actually okay... But you know I am Sri Lankan.. I want my privates to be washed after I did #1 or #2 😂🤣😂. Anyway, it's not a big issue.. But felt like it's something nice to have.

Came here for weekend brunch. Passionfruit mojito was watered down, not enough alcohol in it. The fish bao and beef bao were soft and flavourful. The prawn pad thai was good but only 4 prawns. Chicken pad kra pao had good flavour but needed more basil and it was chicken pieces instead of traditional ground chicken. Main dish came with tom yom soup. Inside decor is nice and there was live music as well.

One of my go-to places for hangout with my loved ones. The atmosphere, staff, food, & service was awesome 😎 The Hiananese Chicken Rice & the Nasi Goreng are a must try at this place. And they serve alcohol and cocktails. The long island iced tea i had was so good 👌🏻 Higgly recommended place to go for a hangout and have some good food.

Let’s be honest, I just got to Colombo but Monsoon is my new favourite restaurant. The cocktails, the food, the prices, everything is perfect. And don’t get me started on the service, OMG. I promise, as soon as I make friends here, this is the where I will bring them!!!

My issue with this place is the hidden costs. Adding service charge and taxes is common here. I dislike adding taxes in general as it is misleading but Monsoon added 23% in extra taxes which I have never seen. With service charge, price ended up being 33% more than what was on the menu. I was happy with food and service but 33% over the price advertised is far too much and ruined the meal as I just left there feeling scammed.

Very calming and relaxed environment!! The drinks were great! The food was good as well but can be improved. All in all great experience.

Gave them a chance 3 times, because some of the food was tasty when we visited last year but this time I ordered delivery and the food was terrible. Pho is not actual pho, beef was chewy, impossible to eat, laksa had 0 flavor, just some coconut milk broth with a hint of spice, nothing to do with laksa. Mini piece of tofu seems like someone ate it and the half of the egg received. Portion size is a joke for the money they charge, as you can see. 100% not recommended, save your time and money.

Pleasant restaurant with an antique vibe to it. Strictly adhering to COVID 19 rules which is great. Waiting staff is polite and courteous. They have a healthy amount of options. I opted for the Pork Ribs, Lamb Curry and Laksa Rice. The dishes were spot on in regard to taste. They had a healthy serving of Pork Ribs, which was cooked perfectly that the meat effortlessly slid off the bone. The Rice of the Laksa was soft and came with a Large Prawn. The accompanying creamy gravy tied the dish together wonderfully. Although the lamb curry was just as delicious as the rest of the dishes, I would have loved a bit more lamb in their Lamb Curry. Overall it’s a great restaurant with a calming vibe and delicious food. Worth the price you pay.

Great food and a very cozy place. The staff were super friendly and they follow the health guidelines accurately. Food was amazing and worth the price. I specifically loved their Bao buns (if that's the right name). Great place. Will definitely go back for more.

Went with my family. Nice place for dinning and it was less crowded. Very professional and helpful staff. Had variety of food items from Thai, Vietnam, Malaysian etc.. Prices are bit towards expensive side. But had a excellent Sunday dinner out and food is tasty. Really enjoyed.

What a beautiful restaurant! The location is hidden inside the Park street mews Colombo. The food was super yummy and great portion sizes. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We over ordered and had a bit of a food overdose, but everything was so good! The cocktails tasted really good. Place has it’s own vibe to it.

The food is great! They cook seafood really well. The prawns and crispy squid were so tender. Service was excellent as well. Even tho it was busy we were attended to well. Food may take a bit of time to come but its delicious. Love the design and ambience of the place. Cannot go without mentioning the milo ice cream. It's iconic. So creamy and milo-y. 600 or so for 2 scoops +some milo powder. I split it with my partner. Worth it.

We really enjoyed our time here. the atmosphere to the food to the drinks! Everything was so great. Except just didn’t like the passion fruit pieces in my cocktail.

It’s still a great place! Haven’t visited in about 2 years but can confirm it’s well maintained and still has the same charm - albeit the live music was way too loud and didn’t really match with the rest of the modern Asian vibe. The drinks were not up to standard. We had the tamarind margarita (6/10) which was alright but the chilli pineapple margarita (2/10) was very bad. It was definitely using cordial or some kind of artificial pineapple syrup which is a shame with the abundance of pineapple on our island! The food was as good as I recall! Tastes good, well plated, good portions and all well priced. We had the sriracha wings, tuna ceviche, laksa and nasi goreng. All were really good and nothing to complain! Definitely recommend coming here for the food and ambiance but the would avoid cocktails in future. Also, the service is lacklustre and slow. You always have to make gestures for their attention.

Pretty chill spot to enjoy some real flavorfull Asian Fusion Cusine. I've been disappointed multiple times attempting to try various different sorts of East Asian Cusine my life simply because the flavors didnt go hand in hand with my palette's expectations, but these fusion dishes at Monsoon... without doubt had me totally hooked! If anyone's looking for recommendations, try their starter combos and Bami Goreng without fail ;)

I recently visited this spot and was impressed by the ambience and overall atmosphere. The service was also prompt and attentive. However, as a vegan, I felt that the options available to me were quite limited. While there were a few dishes that could be made vegan upon request, I would have appreciated more options that were already plant-based. I hope to see more vegan options in the future. In addition to the dining area, there is a clean and very nice lounge area upstairs which offers a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy a drink. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant and would definitely visit again. However, as a vegan, more options would be highly encouraged.

Went on a quiet weekday. Well they do have an extensive menu and the ambiance was excellent, cool hangout spot. They do have live music too! Food was bit pricey but it was generally ok, nothing to complain.
