Japanese accuracy and culinary art, coupled with Sinhalese hospitality! The many sushi plates we ordered all tasted very very tasty and fresh. The staff is always there when you need them and very accommodating. Gladly again !

Ordered for an amount of Rs. 2815 via UberEats on the 30th of OCT 2021. The order; Spicy Chicken Roll 4pcs, Teriyaki Chicken Roll 4pcs, Chicken Yakitori 3pcs. Utterly disappointed. Don't know what's the buzz around Kuuraku being the best Japanese restaurant in town when there is a distinct difference between what's presented online vs what comes in reality! Japanese being one of my favorite cuisines and having tried from "Ginza" and "Ikoi Tei from Hilton", two of the best Japanese restaurants in Colombo in my opinion, that present reasonably priced, great Japanese food that is worth the money you are spending, Kuuraku comes at a huge disappointment with HIGHLY priced, AVERAGELY tasted and with the SMALLEST portion size you can expect! Either the management need reconsider their prices or make a change to the portion size and flavors! Choose either one or pack and leave the town! P.S. : They didn't even send soy sauce, etc. with the order too!

We had an incredible meal at Kuuraku Japanese Restaurant Colombo today 23rd March 2022 and I simply can't speak highly enough of the entire customer experience. A beautiful venue, friendly and knowledgeable staff and stunning food. went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating, making sure I was well looked after. This is hands down the best restaurant I've been to in Colombo Area.

Had the pleasure of having a fantastic birthday lunch here. The presentation of food was awesome and the taste even better. The chefs ensure that you don’t have to wait long. Some fantastic dishes served with passion. Kudos to the management of this restaurant for the excellent service. Definitely recommend to visit here at least once and taste the hospitality!

Food was good and tasty. The presentation was good. However, the portion was not quite enough. Seems a bit pricey as well compared to other Japanese food restaurants in Colombo. Atmosphere is good and staff were welcoming.

We visited Kuuraku on our trip to Colombo. The ambience is warm and welcoming. The food is exceptional! We enjoyed everything we tried here. The service was a little slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. So order well beforehand in case you’re not willing to wait. All in all a perfect spot for some good authentic Japanese food.

First of all the waiters are friendly and very attentive. They try their best to give out the japanese vibe apart from the interior design. Food also tastes good. The seafood seemed fresh. They also got real japanese sake 👉👈 Price - kind of expensive but worthy

Currently my #1 favourite Japanese restaurant in Colombo, the food was impeccable. Place is a bit small and can get a bit crowded/noisy (we went a bit early on a Saturday night) but you can always get takeout or delivery.

The food was tasty. Rolls were fresh. I ordered 12 sushi rolls . They have a special offer now. So it was more than enough for one person. I ordered brown rice tea. It has interesting taste and nice small. Also you should try matcha ices cream

The most amazing food and service on park street! Arshad the manager was so helpful and attentive to each thing I requested. I’m a vegetarian and the options are PLENTY! Nimal, the bar tender was extremely friendly and made exquisite drinks. If you go here for anything, try the SPICY MAYO - it’s made in house and truly the best spicy mayo I’ve ever had!! Visiting from the US, it was such a pleasure to have my dinner here on my last night in Sri Lanka.

A fairly decent Japanese restaurant. The food was not too bad however the upkeep of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The dirty washroom curtains and decor speak for itself. The food was not too bad and quite palatable, well priced and good. However service could be a notch better. Overall there are better options at the same price band the only plus point is the location Park Street Mews which is quite a happening place.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in the city! Exceptional service provided by Michael & the rest of the team and absolutely delicious food! I’m one of their loyal customers and a big fan of their salads, yakitori & maki! Highly recommend to check them out if you haven’t been there yet!

Been to this Japanese restaurant in Park Street Mews for years! All friendly and helpful staffs, nice atmosphere! And most importantly, the foods are all very tasty, fresh and authentic!

The only reason I'm not giving this place 5/5 is because the variety of sushi rolls is lacking quite considerably. I've eaten sushi all over the world and love it. I spent just over 6000 lkr here last time and had a very enjoyable meal. Salmon Zanmai (I requested no chili in anything) was really excellent. Professionally done and well presented and I will surely have again here. Ebi tempura, again was very enjoyable and professionally made and balanced texture and the bowl of dipping sauce noticeably high quality. I felt it could have been a few hundred rupees cheaper though....prawns are not expensive in Sri Lanka. The vegetable tempura roll and Philadelphia roll were nice....not amazing, but nice. As I mentioned before, I was very surprised by the lack of variety of sushi rolls on the menu. I feel the owner should review this situation, as compared to other genuine Japanese restaurants. Also, the sushi rolls could be made from "nice" to excellent. The meal left me feeling happy to have eaten there and I would definitely recommend this place.

Really economical and the food is really good compared to other japanese restaurants. The pork belly yakitori with sesame sauce is a must try.

Quality of food was excellent. And prices were quite reasonable (given the area it's situated in) if you go for the specials during lunch. It's a bit more for dinner . Works out to around 1500 - 2000 per person for lunch, about 2500 per for dinner. Definitely try the spicy tuna roles, those were quite good. Feel free to request for a fork if chopsticks are not your thing.

This is the best Japanese restaurant in Sri Lanka. It is bit expensive then Local food, though(^-^;;). the tasty of the food encourage me to spend it. Here a problem that came up last night due to their poor service. I got a phone call from Kuuraku after I order my dinner by Uber. They told me there was some problem that I paid only one of the Katsudon out of two portion. I checked the receipt. It proves that I completely paid them all. so I asked them to check again from their side. they didn't listen and told me they were going to send me only one portion of it instead of two which was so disappointed. Anyway I got two portion of the issued menu and the others all because I asked if there's any problem in deed, I would transfer the cost to their account. Today I got a call again. I am not going to pay it. do not call me again. when the lock-down is released I will go and pay for it if I am wrong.

The place is nice, you can sit outside in the cozy street with beautiful lamps. The sushi is good, but I have had better. The same goes for the sticks and the salad. I do have a very high bar when it comes to sushi. However, it was nicely decorated and it was servered very fast. The staff was polite and smiled a lot.
