Amazing place for K food lovers. Inside the restaurant it is cozy and calm with many Koreans having lunch. And felt like we were in Korea for a while. Tried this cheese Ttebokki for the first time and it tasted way too good in reality compared to expectations. We called ahead of time and asked if they could prepare it early (thinking it will take time to prepare) while we were on our way and they specifically mentioned that it takes just 15 minutes so after arriving at the restaurant we could make the order so that we would have it hot. We found out how true that was as the order was ready within 15 minutes and also while we were having it, it got cold. It was so flavourful and so filling. Like the description in their menu says, it is enough for 2 to 3 people and definitely worth the price too. Can't wait to visit next time to try another dish. Although we wanted to try a few at once it was not possible as they were so filling. Definitely recommend to all K food lovers and ones who have never tried or liked K food before. They have a few ramen packets also for purchase. The only drawback is that they are open from 12 noon to 2 pm for dining in for lunch. Better to make a reservation in advance.

The food is not as great as they say! We ordered sushi, vegan rice, spicy chicken dish, pork dish and a cuttle fish dish and a seafood noodle soup. The only thing I liked and was worth the money was the sushi dish and everything else was not good. And the staff didn’t respond to us although we asked for the menu for about 15-20min and when she finally arrived she says the menu is on their insta page 😑

Went with 3 people and had a great time !!! A bit pricey but, the food was really good with great portion sizes for each dish you get. The fried chicken is a must order and everything was delicious. Cost about 11,000 for 3 people when I went but we were just trying out as many unique Korean dishes we heard about ( our fault for ordering way too much) , generally I’m guessing it’ll cost about 3k a person. The service was really nice. Check the opening and closing times before going Will definitely go again!!

Amazing Korean food! Very delicious. Most sauces etc are imported directly from Korea so it has a very authentic taste. Wide selection available, including vegetarian options. Staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items, and give good recommendations. Ambience is good. Walls in the top floor have multiple posters of KPop bands - for any ardent fans to take pictures. Parking may be an issue if there is a large crowd, but the staff is helpful and sort it out. They also have some Korean noodles, biscuits/sweets for purchase as well. Definitely recommend!

This was my first Korean food experience and it was highly satisfying! The Jajangmyeon was the favourite dish, but the others were also really delicious. A lot of K-Pop fans turned up and snapped pictures of their idols, which decorated the walls on the upper floor. Recommend making a reservation before making a visit, as the place gets filled up pretty fast. Definitely looking forward to returning here and trying other dishes.

Customer service was very good and the food was excellent and authentic. Parking could be a bit of a hassle since there are only around 4 spaces of their own and the access path is quite narrow. Nevertheless, it should not be an excuse to not to go to this genuine Korean place. A few packed Korean products are available for purchase as well from the counter. The restaurant, including the seating area and washrooms could be a bit more well maintained I thought. Recommended!

Visited Kang's Kitchen due to a recommendation from a friend. The first impression wasn't the best as their air conditioner seemed to have been malfunctioning and it was quite warm and uncomfortable in there. However, they had a few fans working. Not much to write in regards to the ambience. The overall experience with food was good. We enjoyed all the dishes but we weren't too fond of the onigiri. The dishes had flavor and the food get accompanied with some Korean sides (lotus flower, kimchi and spinach). It is a bit difficult to make a reservation as they say they are full. We were told that we might not be able to get seated but when we walked in, they weren't full and had a few empty tables which didn't get occupied the entire time we were there. It is a BYOB establishment. Parking is a bit of a hassle but they do provide a "valet" service to move the vehicles around. Our first experience overall was decent, hence we visited again a few weeks later. However, the second experience was negative mainly because of the server. He was the same person who took care of our table the first time and did a fantastic job. The second time around we were a bit annoyed because of his actions. Even before we even had the entire party join us, he asked for a personal favor. And he kept asking for my number throughout the meal so he could call me to get some help. I told him I don't give my number to anyone I don't know. When we were leaving he came out and gave me his number and asked me to call him and assist him out to leave the country. This surely made our experience negative. We have no problem helping people out but we don't appreciate a server constantly asking for phone numbers and talking about his personal problems. We had empathy towards him but was very annoyed by his behavior. As it wasn't the right time nor the place to discuss such matters. Especially not through out our meal. Good food but not sure if we'd visit again while in Colombo due to the unpleasant experience with the server.

I don't usually give 5 stars unless I really loved the food 😁 **Service:** The staff at the restaurant were not only friendly but also highly supportive throughout our dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and always ready to assist with any questions or special requests, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal. **Food Quality:** The quality of the food at this Korean restaurant was nothing short of amazing. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Cheesy Tteokbokki, Gimbap (Beef), Mogsal Bokeem, Ojingeo Bokkem, and a portion of steamed rice. One of the dishes even came with lettuce, which allowed us to create our wraps, and they provided us with traditional Korean chili paste that was simply mind-blowing in terms of flavor. The pork was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside & the fried finely chopped pieces of garlic gave us an amazing crunch. The cuttlefish was the winner for me, packed with nothing but flavor and cooked to perfection. Could stop eating that with the steamed rice. The Gimbap (Somewhat like the korean version of Sushi) Was mind blowing, just like the images it was perfect. **Portions and Pricing:** The portions served were more than satisfactory, and the pricing was just fantastic. With a total bill of 12,925, including service charges, the value for the quality and quantity of food we received was on point. It's clear that this restaurant offers both a delightful dining experience and excellent value for your money. **Final Thoughts:** In conclusion, our visit to this Korean restaurant in Colombo was a truly delightful experience. The welcoming ambience, outstanding service, and the incredible quality of the food left a lasting impression. The generous portions and reasonable prices only added to the overall appeal. From the staff to the host, every one is really friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The food we ordered was really quite lovely as we'd been advised on what dishes would go together. Portion sizes are really large and extremely filling, not to mention how fast the food comes 😃😃 Hope to visit again. This was my very first Korean food experience and it was superb. We really enjoyed the every food we bought and they were super super delicious. Staff was very friendly and if you don’t have any idea about Korean foods, you asks help from them. Cuz they were willing to help you. Out of all we purchased, fried chicken and pan fried dumplings were super delicious, you must try them👌🏻.

Ordered from kangs kitchen on ubereats. It was my first time trying korean foods and really wanted to try kangs kitchen since I saw them on insta. Our selections were Jajangmeon (Black Noodles), Tteok-bokki, Kimchi Bokkembap, Kochchi KANGpungi with Steam Rice and Kimchi. Jumbo prawns was our choice for kochchi KANGpungi. My favourites were Kimchi Bokkembap and Kochchi KANGpungi. Kochchi KANGpungi was super spicy. If you’re a spicy lover try this dish from them.

My first korean food experience. It was delicious. Especially the chicken appetizer. It was something!!! Very good customer service and ample parking space with clean environment. A bit pricey but i guess that’s okay for the time being. A recommended place for those who wish to experience an authentic korean food meal.

This is the best Korean restaurant in the town. Prices are competitive with the other restaurants. I had many dishes from this restaurant time to time. Unluckily all were got delivered. Highly recommended even I have never visited this place physically.

Look, The reason I give this place three stars is probably because I don't understand Korean food, It all looks like they are supposed to be full of interesting flavours but when you bite into them, they are bland. We ordered a wide variety of foods from Kangs kitchen. Perhaps we ordered the wrong stuff, but we did take a Korean fan girl (my sister) and she led the charge in ordering around 6 dishes. Cheese Tteokbokki Some vegetable pancake thing Boneless wings Chicken dumplings Kimbap Kimchi fried rice with pork I'll say this, the 3 of were stuffed. So portion size is appropriate. A filling meal, although not a journey of eccentric flavors. They were mostly either kinda sour, kinda salty and sour, kinda sweet and sour. So when the bill comes around to 19000/= the over all flavor that remains in the mouth is sour. At least Japenese or Chinese places would tantalise you with varying rich flavors, this Korean cuisine is much like their pop culture. 1 dimensional. Good for Instagram pictures but lacks depth of flavors.

Firstly parking will be a bit of a hassle because you have to go in a small lane to get to the restaurant. But they will take your car keys if you have to park in the lane. The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing and filled with Kpop posters and banners. The food is also top notch and very filling. The only problem I had is that they are short in staff and it takes them some time to get your order. After the initial order, we gave another order to a staff and he came back after around 10-15 minutes asking whether we ordered again and what it was. So overall its an amazing experience and is highly recommended.

We were so excited to visit this place due to the social media hype it has.However it was not up to our expectations. The atmosphere lacked character for an authentic "korean" restaurant as it only had few banners of k pop stars and the decoration was not in harmony. We ordered cheesy tteokbokki and jajangmeon. Cheesy tteokbokki was nice however the jajangmeon wasn't that good. The portion was too large for what it is with too much sauce which didn't present well. The flavours were pretty much linear and you'll get bored eating the whole thing. If you go there I suggest you try comparatively small dishes or you go there with a group so you won't be overwhelmed by the never ending story of a single dish.

No words to express my delight!!! Honestly in love with their food specially the mandu!! The tteobbokki sauce taste has definitely gotten better compared to the last time I had it. If you want to have a real taste of Korean cuisines,Kang's kitchen is the ideal place to go.The place is much spacious with two storeys.Most of the issues can be overcome if you make a reservation beforehand😎. The customer service is excellent😍. The meals were super delicious😊. Since we tried a lot of varieties of Korean meals, the prices seem exorbitant with the service charge(When I think about it again,that feels ok since we stayed there for more than 2 hours🙂),but it's possible for you to have a delicious Korean dish for a reasonable price if we order as much as we need to eat. If you need furthur recommendation,I would say you should definitely try out jajangmyeon, and cheesy tteobokki.Kimchi bokkembap is also good,but my favorite dish is jajangmyeon. Shin Rameyeon is not tasty as I expected,cuz I have had a better dish of Rameyeon once at home ,but it's possible for you to like this one. (It's not bad,my friend liked it😌) 08.10.2022
