The food was good but nothing stood to me. For me personally the turn down was the waiting. We waited more than an hour for our food. I don't think the food is worth for this price range and especially for the wait. Waiters must be trained properly, very poor hospitality. Felt a bit like"UNINVITED GUESTS". I heard great things about the place but highly disappointed. Having no intention of going back anytime soon. There are places with better food which even have cheaper price tags.

A great place to experience the North and South vegetarian foods. The restaurant is clean and staff is helpful. Food is tasty and price is okay. We have had the North Indian Taali and it was delicious. At the beginning we thought if the potion is not enough, but it is more than sufficient for one person. We have ordered fresh juices also. The Mango drink was superb but lime juice was bit salty for me. But my husband really liked the lime juice. Highly recommended to experience different types of Indian vegetarian foods.

If you love Indian vegetarian food, then you must definitely visit Dwaraka. Nice foods in a calm environment. Only problem I faced was, they take time to serve the foods (must be because I visited the place for lunch). Prices are reasonable.

Came here after ages. We had Idli, paneer Masal Dosa, Idiyappam and Chillie Parotta. Other than Chillie Parotta all others are great. Idiyappam and Idly got praised by the ladies at home. Felt like there are way too much Chick Peas in Chillie Parotta, else it would have been Good too. Also we tried their Iced Milo and it's also Good. Affordable price, with No Service Charge. They have good seating and private separations as well. There is construction work happening on the side of their building. Have plenty of car park space. Service is good and fast. Recommended if you are looking for a Vegetarian shop.

An average place to have indian food for a reasonable price. Food is not too superb. You have enough large space to dine in but car parking is available only for 5 to 6 vehicles inside the premises. But do not worry, you can park your vehicle along the by road next to the restaurant

Great place for a fully vegetarian south Indian meal. The food tasted amazing, and the price was very reasonable. Try the cheese naan, they're quite generous with the cheese. Service was quick and attentive. Food was brought within 15 minutes. Even the additional food ordered during eating was brought quickly. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious vegetarian/Indian meal that's not going to break your wallet.

If you are a North Indian and want to expected a warm service, then this is not a right place for you. Staff behavior is so poor. Food Quality: Good. But don't expect any kind of good service.

The owner has taken great care to open this outlet .They have lodging as well .Vegetarian food in a coastal country is like simply wow. Great satisfaction .Though I felt the prices to be a little high but no option .The people here are very polite and soft spoken .Nice experience .Please add roasted zeera powder to the salted lassi . The menu card should be read and it will bring a smile on your face .The owner has printed notes about some places famous in India . North Indian food is served very late .

Taste of the food does not justify with prices. For a comparatively very heavy prices, you get ordinary taste with less add-ons. I used to order from another popular Indian restaurant at the half the cost, yet tastier with varieties. You additionally get packaging charge on delivery, where items/curries are yet packed in polythene bags. Hardly any value for your money. Think twice before you do a dine or make an order.

Totally a disappointing vegetarian restaurant in Colombo. Meal is not worth for the price and potion size was not reasonable. Money is not the matter if the meal is reasonable. Did not find any special of the foods from other vegetarians restaurant in town. Highly recommend Amritha near bambalapitiya flats than this restaurant. Very disappointing. Attached the photo which i got for 380 LKR.

"I had high hopes for this Indian restaurant, but it was a complete letdown. The dishes lacked the vibrant flavors and spices that are characteristic of Indian cuisine. The presentation was sloppy, and the portions were small for the price. The service was slow and inattentive, and it seemed like the staff didn't care about customer satisfaction. Overall, a disappointing experience."

Absolutely pathetic. The taste of food and quality of service has gone down considerably. Ghee roast was soggy. When we asked why, their excuse was that during weekends it's too busy so they have it cooked already. Not worth your money.

Truly South Indian flavor. The best part is the Managent has renivated and modified the restaurant to suit the needs of those who cannot climb stairs easily. This is good news for Seniors and Persons with disability. Piping hot vadai with sambar and chutney was a treat. Sufficient parking and fresh sea breeze adds value to your experience.

A excellent spot to try vegetarian foods from the North and South. The restaurant is spotless, and the staff is kind. The food is good, and the pricing is reasonable. We had the North Indian Taali, which was wonderful. We initially wondered if the potion would be insufficient, but it is more than enough for one person. We also ordered fresh juices. The mango drink was delicious, but the lime juice was too salty for me. My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed the lime juice. It is highly suggested to try several sorts of Indian vegetarian cuisine.

As usual. It's look like expensive. When it's come expensive, it's not worth for money. Idly is a less cost in their menu. Anyway, Big space restaurant. Many people can sit. Parking is big. But if less price, it's worth for it. And there is 10% service charge like other restaurant. Anyway, it's okay when you want to have veg. Don't think about money.

One of my favourite restaurant. At Dwaraka Restaurant, my dining experience was elevated by the exquisite presentation of their dishes, truly a feast. The attentive service added a pleasant touch to the meal, making the visit all the more enjoyable. While I found the prices to be on the higher side, I believe it's worth the occasional indulgence, especially for a family outing. I opted for the North Indian thali on my visit, and it was a delightful spread with a rich variety of items, including the paneer channa. (Paneer texture is a bit rubbery). I highly recommend trying this dish for its flavors and diversity.

Great place for Indian foods with reasonable prices. Three times I have visited here. You can have yummy South Indian and North Indian food under the same roof. I recommend their thali and Rawa masala, which are excellent.

Took too long to take the order. Service was very poor. Parota served was so bad that I had to discard half the plate. Food is very expensive but the food and the service are very bad. Waste of time and money.

Pathetic experience...We tried 7 items... Not a single was worthy. Mirchi Vada, Punjabi Samosa both were not fresh and had the same stuffing.... Pav Bhaji had very bad bhaji...completely out of taste... Idly was not fresh and was of morning or may be day before....pani puri was ok...schezwan noodle was not at all schezwan....Paper Dosa was ok...even that was not crispy... Whether you talk about North Indian or South Indian food..they just messed it up.... Am not going there next time. Not recommended at all.

Good Indian restaurant which is serving vegetarian food. It's has very good south Indian dishes which are reasonably priced. It also has the famous North Indian dishes made of paneer and mushrooms but the food has a South Indian vibe to it. The food arrived quite quickly but the service was below par.good parking space is also available.

(Edit: I no longer recommend this place for the reason mentioned below.) Dwaraka is an Indian vegetarian restaurant located right at the end of Jaya Road, Bambalapitiya with access from both that road and the Marine Drive. It serves both North and South Indian cuisine. I have eaten their North Indian thali (word means "plate") many times (available at lunch time), their highest priced single item (a little over Rs. 1,000 the last time I ate). The carbs consist of a bowl of long-grained rice mixed with vegetables and green peas and a freshly-made naan. This is accompanied by a tomato soup, which I love, and a selection of five different dishes served in small bowls, which are always invariable: paneer (my favourite), alu (potatoes), chick peas curry, raita (curd) and dhal. This invariability, which I like--because every time I go there I know what I am going to get- may not appeal to some others. A desert is included, which is not fixed. The quality of taste of the thali is good except the dessert, which is usually mediocre. Their South Indian thali, which is a little cheaper, is okay but don't order their chilli parotta--it is too hard and rubbery. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. Reasonably clean wash room. The menu is varied enough and not too expensive. They claim to have all Indian chefs. Dwaraka also has another branch in Mount Lavinia and there the prices of the menu items are a little cheaper while the quality of food is the same (at least judging from their North Indian thali). Edit: I have now learned that the tomato soup given with their north indian thali is made using bottled tomato sauce, not natural tomatoes. This is a big disappointment and I feel cheated.

This used to be a go-to place for me for Good South Indian Food, but my recent visit was shocking and disgusting. The food quality and taste has gone down. No food came hot, and even the basic Sambar and Chutney were not upto standard. Am not going back ever and will never recommended anyone to go either. Recently tried ghee masala dosai.. earlier it was good. Last two times it seems given plain dosai instead of ghee. both the time I kindly complained about the issue. Last time i took paneer take away kouttu for my parents. At the half way they are eating I realized they have given kottu with zero paneer. Really disappointed. Previously Dwarka was our favourite stop for a vegetarian meal. With these incidents the interest is going away.

My first experience with Dwaraka, and takeaway to try all the food at home peacefully. Awesome, thatโ€™s our experience was. Delicious food and in right portions. Cheese dosa, onion rings and chapathi was perfect. I felt little over expensive, but not after all. Easy access from the Marin Drive. Dedicated parking inside the restaurant, and if full you can easily park along the roadsides.

Visited this place on a weekday for lunch. The place has a good front yard for a beautiful garden as well as some reserved parking. The staff greet you with a smile. There were a few guests. The place can house more than 40 guests and there are other rooms available probably for reservation. The ambience is good and the place is clean. The staff speaks Tamil and Sinhala and a little bit of english. There's music running in the background. I ordered a south Indian Thali with Avocado juice. The Thali was good. I also ordered the caramel custard. It tasted weird a bit of burnt taste. The cost is economical.
