Been a frequent customer of this place from the time they launched ... Oh it brings back so many memories... Love the Sri Lankan twist on the dishes such as the Mac rice and curry and the wraps. Overall the food is always good, upto standard and my number 1 fast food option if I want to have a cheat day. Big Mac all the way, but their chicken wings and chicken pieces are also to die for 🔥

You better avoid weekends, crowded and you have to wait for a long time. On other days everything works fine. They got self checkout booths too, more convenient to place your order. There is staff member to help you, if you don't know how to place an order via the self checkout. Got the same franchise menu, including beverages.

Overall, the experience was decent. The Big Mac tasted decent. However, i don’t recommend the McSpicy. The chicken tasted very hard and chewy. Also, beef was not available, which was weird.

Fresh off our Sri Lankan arrival, the aroma of Mc Donald's in Kolupitiya enticed us for dinner. Though bustling, the atmosphere was friendly, thanks to the welcoming staff. Mr. Jeseel, in particular, shone, guiding us through the menu with expertise and charm. His service was exceptional – a true gold standard!

I ordered a Big Mac meal for myself and others with me ordered the rest of what you see on the receipt. The Big Mac had to be one of the worst Big Mac’s I’ve had anywhere in the world. I could not tell if that was real beef on the Big Mac or not. It was like cardboard with some sauce on it. The fries were OK, however the coke had zero carbonation so I took it back. The lady working was nice and gave me another coke but that was exactly the same, no carbonation at all. I will never come back to this McDonalds again. When McDonalds screws up their signature product “The Big Mac” they should be closed down.

Tries spicy mag burger meal. Taste is average. Fries was very good. It was around 11.30 a.m in the morning on a Friday morning not very busy. Too many staffs are hanging around than customers. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and tidy.

Located in the prime location. No automated machines need to order through cashier. Very friendly staff and quite late dining area. Chicken burger 🍔 is not up-to the mark but fries are superb crunchy and tasty. Children play area also available. Drive through facilities also available

This is one of the only macdondals in Sri lanka that has a small play area(one in Nugegoda also has). Their service is great, washrooms clean, and parking is behind the building in Abanse.

The outlet is centrally located in Kollupitiya, on the Galle Road and The place is quite well maintained and spacious. It Has parking for about 7-8 vehicles and they have an unconventional drive-thru as well. The food was fine and outlet has a play area for kids. One good thing about this outlet is , there is plenty of space so that you can have your meal peacefully

Never waited in a FAST food restaurant 30 minutes for two dishes but obviously I had to visit this place. With half empty restaurant overcrowded with employees. Work organization is on another level too, you really don't want your food to be brought by a person who just finished sweeping floor or cleaning the tables. In the SAME freakin gloves. An HACCP expert would stab himself on the spot seeing this. Overall another level of experience but never again, thanks.

I tried the chocolate chip McFlurry here. They charged 1090 rupees for it. But it's not even worth half the price! I get that McDonald's has their own ice cream and quality. But that does not apply to this McFlurry. The normal vanilla cone here is 190/=. And this McFlurry is only that! Nothing else! They just add the ice cream to the paper cups and put chocolate cookies on top. That's all! I feel cheated🥲 And even that cup wasn't completely full of ice cream😒

Great food and great service! Food served very quickly and staff were patient with our order. They accept credit card as well. Ample seating. Sauces available are chili garlic and ketchup. Although some of the seats could be cleaner.

Very friendly staff. Good service. And hygienic. They cleanup the place as soon as customers finish eating. So no litter here and there. People can spend quality time while dining here. Very good atmosphere to chill and relax over a burger or ice cream. They have a good variety of ice creams as well. Plus, They have plug points so you can charge your laptop or phone while you work on the go.

Visited the Kollupitiya Branch on sunday for break fast. very disappointed. there is no meal deals. had to order separately the burger / ash brown / fries i was charged Rs.1850/-- didn't get a bill the printer was not working. there is no coffee only sprite and coke. how can you serve food with out coffee or tea. Mc - Donalds all over the world serve coffee how come sri lanka dont.will not visit again.you guys spolit my day.

Among the many McDonald's outlets in the country, this one is the most busiest. The staffs are very organized and deliver food within 15 minutes. The place has variety of seating capacity and good for casual meetups to formal ones. It has a kid play area too. Close to Galle road and there is a Abans showroom next to it. Interior design could be modified to make it attractive.

Don't order the happy meal, it DOES NOT make you happy or filling like a meal!! (Even for a kid) the burger is soooo tiny and doesn't even come with some ice berg leaves! Really sad for 1490/=

At first I rate this place 5 stars and highly recommend for anyone. This place is amazing and provides an excellent service. During the Covid-19 situation they work hard to serve the service for the customers as possible with the situation. The portion is yummy and love it. The staff is friendly and provided an excellent service.

No complain on the food...went with my family and the table not cleaned we have to request one staff to clean and I buyed a 2 kids meal but they didn't gave the toys we have to request for that. And they don't even gave the sauce too that's also we have to ask. Poor customer service on those occation. Otherwise food was good.

A little different style menu than the US version based on the local taste buds. About average what I expected from McDonald's

The weirdest cheeseburger I have ever had at a McDonald’s. The patty is razor thin and has an unpleasant taste. It was also way too salty. The French fries on the other were ok, but barely salted and lukewarm. It is very pricey as well, for a simple cheeseburger and a medium fries we paid almost 5 dollar. Inside it was pretty warm and smelly, seemed the air on was not working properly. General cleanliness was good though.

It was too warm inside, when we inquired about it they said their one AC is not working , the staff attitude was not acceptable, the food was served very late , we ordered 5 Pcs chicken for 2800 Rs, in that 2 pcs were in small wings chicken size 🤷‍♂️

Burgers did not taste so good. However, the French fries were crunchy and perfectly fried. Loved it.The seating area was very comfortable.

How is this place still operating? They've maintained the signature McDonald's taste, but to charge ~2000 for 2 slices of bread with paltry filling is absurd. I get that costs have increased, but other burger joints offer far better value for money. I had to actually order take out from another place while sitting in McDonald's because we were starving after their Big Mac and Double Cheese burger vanished without a trace (except in my wallet).

The place is cozy and relaxing during brunch. Lunch time and dinner times is quite crowded. This one of the mcdonalds outlets I really like and enjoy. Is quite spacious and the staff has always been very good and helpful.

I'm just buying ice cream. Nice place but if you can please add a water spray gun for toilets. Not everyone who comes here uses toilet paper

Not the best menu for veggies but we had a spicy veggie burger (which was quite spicy compared to UKs version!) and although not on the core menu, also a veggie rice. The veggie rice was essentially a quite spicy saffron style rice which they place the spicy veggie burger patty on top and serve with some chutney. Not bad! Price: Prices are also similar to the UK so not the cheapest place there either. Overall: Worth a visit if you crave McDonalds. The store is kept clean and tidy and food is good. But I would say Sri Lanka has much much better food to offer elsewhere if your willing :).

I was craving for Mc french fries and it was satisfying. I also ordered a spicy chicken burger which had cabbage instead of lettuce . It was tasteless and dissapointing. Definitely not how it used to be back in 2007 when we enjoyed egg muffins n hash brownies there. I also noticed that some booths are broken n barricaded. The place is dying

Spacious and plenty of parking lots too. Good atmosphere as well. Kids friendly environment. The play area is different and looks great. My child enjoyed it.

Poor service. Staff have less understanding serving manners or managing restaurant table serves. Chicken winglets were over cooked. No Lettuce in the bun. And Burger is so dry. I really wish #mcdonald’s do an inspection tour in LK Definitely not worth for money

The first McDonald's in SL. Probably shows a bit of its age. Drive through no longer operational and they have a park n serve instead. That is inherently chaotic and would recommend walking in for take out instead

I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I want to go to a proper supper, this restaurant comes instantly to my mind. outstanding and diverse food and a rich menu. Burgers are getting smaller every year, but the price keeps increasing. There are many other burger joints in colombo that taste better, fresh and is value for money.

It was like most other McDonald's outlets around the globe. This particular outlet provides ample accommodation and quietude and one can expect not to be distracted.

I wish I can rate them zero stars. A/C wasn't working and we told it will get fixed. The queue was 3 deep and still just one till was open. We ordered nuggets kids meals and got chicken burgers instead. The burgers were extremely dry and inedible. We saw staff on their cell phone and many walking around aimlessly. The vegi burger we ordered for ourselves tasted completely only ketchup, looks like they save on food cost by not using mayo. I will not recommend this store to anyone.
