Having visited them for 6 years,It's so unfortunate that they can treat us so badly. Even when the Pandemic was on, We helped them as their food was good. But now, they have changed . Hopefully the owner himself and the lady at the cashier will change to treat customers as human beings. I will never patronise them. Good luck!!!

We've been going to this place for well over 12 years now (even to their old location). The staff was friendly and helped us relocate several times as we had a crowd of 16 people. Plenty of seating space available inside. The food was ok, but the Chilli Parata was too firm and we didn't really like it. The restaurant's parking was full since there were several groups of people, but you should be able to manage and park in the street.

One of the good place to have Indian Vegetarian foods in Colombo. Well maintained good lucking ambient. Foods tastes really good. One minus point I felt was with waiters, they should try to serve the food with a smile.

We visited the place around 10.00 p.m. It was not crowded at all. Place is spacious, clean and the ambiance is nice. The staff is friendly and attentive. We ordered paper masala dosa, plain dosa and some wade. All the food, sambar curry and sambol was delicious. This is one of the best places I've tasted vegetarian Indian food. The portion sizes are also good. Card payment are acceped here. The only improvement point I’d add is to include masala chai in the menu since they only have plain tea. Overall a very good experience 😌

Recently visited this outlet to try their food. Food was ok. I have ordered malasiyan parata kothu, paneer 65 ans orange juice. Nothing much special about the orange juice. Kothu tastes ok but when i tried to wash my hand kothu coloring was stucked with my hand. Paneer portion is less in the paneer 65. Service can be improved. Staffs always looks very serious 🤔. I didn't try their other dishes. So, couldn't give much review about this place. Overall place is ok to visit.

Very disappointed. We ordered paper Masala Dosai through uber last week and they didn’t send us masala, we just received the Dosai. When we called and complained they said that they can’t help with it. Today we ordered 7 Dosais and received gravy which is not even enough for two people. I don’t recommend this place at all.

We have ordered twice on Ubereats. First day we didn’t get the masala in the paper masala dosa. The second time we ordered 7 dosa and got gravy and masala which is not even enough for one person. They talked very impolitely when we called to inform this. Very disappointed and We DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant at all to get food delivered.

It was an okay joint. Nothing fancy. The food was okay. Nothing to be so happy about. It's located just off the main road so not much of a rush for parking and reversing. They do Uber eats as well. Prices are reasonable. A clean joint.

Good place to have tasty South Indian cuisine at reasonable price . Take out and dining in facilities are available . Adequate parking facilities available . Staff curteous and efficient . Food preparation area is very clean. Pre ordering possible . Highly recommend this place.

My one and only go to place for Indian food. Its the taste, quality and consistently friendly service you provide keeps me coming back from the time you had the restaurant on high level road.

Best Indian food in town . Have been dining here since it’s inception . The quality always have been so consistent and no shortcuts . If it’s vegetarian food its only FOOD WAVES for me . Keep up the hood work guys .

I ordered via UberEats yesterday and the portion sizes were really good but that's not what I was looking for!! 1. Didn't receive any of what I ordered! (FYI I didn't receive anything close to a ghee dosa nor a ghee masala dosa ) 2. Taste was okay I guess 💁‍♂️ but I've had better

Paneer wasn't tasty and not worth the money 980/-

Bought ghee parotta, vadda, gobbi manchurian and kadai paneer. The parotta didn't feel fresh, it was hard to bite, which felt like biting into pebbles. The vadda felt the same, quite dry and slightly warm. The Gobi Manchurian tasted slightly sour. The kadai paneer tasted sour as well but with cumin. I'd probably go to another Indian restaurant.

Witnessed worst customer service from this place. This used to be one of our favourite places. We ordered Poori, Paper dosa, Cheese parota ans lassi. Had to wait more than 40 minutes and had to remind waiters that we didn't get any foods. We couldn't satisfy with the foods as we noticed huge ant inside the Lassi. It was less crowded and waiters couldn't manage it. They even forgot our cheese parota. What a horrible experience at our favourite place used to be.

Terrible service, terrible food. Our table wasn't cleaned, no tissues, no water even tho we asked. Food portions are 'very' small. Waiter ignores us. They didn't clean our table or offer water, tissues. Our order was also messed up by the waiter. Do not recommend!!!

Dined here yesterday night. Horible food. Naan was just a plain roti. Paneer 65 was just a plate full of onion leaves. Whatever the paneer left in the dish was not fresh. On my way out saw few people coming out from the kitchen with garbage bags and they were super dirty and not hygenic at all. Will never visit again and will never recommend either. One star is only to put this comment. Otherwise it is minus.

The food is tasty. The vadai are small and priced at Rs.80 and the paper dosai is very good. The food has a distinct indo-Sri lankan feel to it. There were ingredients used in lankan cooking and not in Indian cooking. The waiter tried to push so many dishes on us that we did not want to eat. As my companion is indian it was easy to navigate. I would say food is tasty but missing that authentic indian flavour.

A good place to visit if you a vegetarian or looking for Indian food.

Food waves is a good place for a meal for South Indian food lover. They serve freshly prepared foods. Expensive but not too. Good for gatherings as they have small table arrangements and for groups too. There are few other rice servings such as Chinese foods.

Food was quite tasty, however the people taking orders in the front seem to have problems hearing or understanding the proper order, even after I repeated the menu number for each item I ordered, they messed it up not once but twice this is the sole reason for my 3 star rating. But once again I would like to state that the food was great. Give this place a visit and dine in for the best experience.

Excellent South Indian vegetarian fare. The paper dosai, the paneer curries, masala curries are all excellent. It can often be fully booked, so you should either go during off peak, or on slow nights.

Great tasting food and curry fully vegetarian. Price is a little high they sell 50rs cool drinks for 120rs which is absurd. If you are looking for good vegetarian food this is the best place to go around nugegoda are.

Butter naan was so good with a paneer butter masala.

The food was served freshly cooked and tasted really good. There were plenty of seating area and the restaurant was air-conditioned. Only one waiting staff was available at the time of my visit and that made it bit slow to take our order.

They did have excellent Indian Vegetarian food, but sadly the standards have declined. In their favor, the food is fresh. But the portions have shrunk and the Ulundu Vadai is minuscule.

I have ordered a chicken biriyani on uber and got a veg-noodles. that is not even remotely similar to what I ordered. That noodle also tastes disgusting, super spicy and they haven’t even washed the noodles. I had to throw it away.

The management has changed along with the name. Food wave is the new name. Food is still great with reasonable prices. Only downside is that the place is under staffed. Only 2 stewards and had to wait for 15 minutes to get the menu.

This Food Waves is not the same one as few years back at the same place. Food is not worth for money. Food is not tasty at all. It seems now it is not run by the initial investor. I do not recommend this place to any body.

A vegetarian restaurant. The food is excellent. Parking is available at the front of the restaurant. The food is delicious, and well presented. Friendly and efficient staff. Prices are reasonable. Would visit/recommend this place,for whomever is interested in vegetarian food. They also do delivery for dinner service.
