I recently visited a serene Japanese restaurant with my friends, and it exceeded all expectations. The calm and quiet atmosphere provided the perfect setting for quality time with loved ones. The food was delicious, and every dish we ordered was a culinary masterpiece. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was also a great place to work with a laptop. With soothing background music, this restaurant comes highly recommended. I can't wait to visit again.

Loved the atmosphere! Food and drinks were Amazingly Delicious!! Lavender Latte is so delicious and smells amazing at the same time!! Everything we ordered tasted so good and the portions were quite generous. Unique set of flavors are available in their menu. Would definitely trying out it all soon!

Great little place to enjoy a japanese fusion brunch. The space can expand a little. The food potions are generous and coffee is good. I had prawn dumplings and the Hyoko salad...both really good!

Tried out the new menu at kiku and not sure what to think since I usually love their food. We tried out a couple of things. The lavender affegato was something interesting and definitely worth a try. For the mains we had the three cheese Mac and cheese which didn’t really taste of anything and was lacking salt. The katsu Sando was on point but that’s hard to go wrong with. The kimchi udon noodles with bacon while flavorful and filling was missing a the heat you’d expect with kimchi and the teriyaki croque madam was ok I’d say nothing too crazy. We tried the Hong Kong French toast for dessert which had chocolate pudding inside and whipped cream on top. There was a strong nutty flavor but it could use some sweetness to balance it out. Since they just reopened going to give it the benefit of the doubt that the new menu will improve

open and airy cafe above a floral design studio. beautiful, light filled space. coffee selection was great with many house made syrups. matcha available as well. had the teriyaki croque madame and a christmas special, gingerbread latte. happy to have stumbled on this beautiful spot strolling through colombo 4.

Great chill ambiance overlooking the city . The food was good and the staff were really friendly. I’m on an ice cream flavor hunt and wanted to try out their Lavender AFFOGATO and KATSU WAFU PASTA !

Hidden gem in the Colombo Haven't had anything to eat there but had a cocktail and it was so great. Open till midnight, a great place to go drunk or get drunk at night with significant others . The place has a nice vibe there and the lighting was dreamy.

The place looks cozy and serves interesting variations of the Japanese food. Tried all vegan items from the menu. All were good but could be improved. Like the silken tofu balls were too dry, the oats were not thoroughly cooked in the porridge (the oats were half raw), while the miso soup and vegan pasta were great. And the matcha was really a disappointment :( Overall, a really nice place but hope they can improve the recipes a bit.

Calm and relaxing place to chill after work. KIKU has it own uniqueness and its own theme. Good place for distressing. At daytime is all about the daylight and so bright but by evening after 6pm you get to experience a nice view. The menu is completely about Japanese inspired with Western food.

The most aesthetic cafe’ in Colombo. Been here couple of times, tried different foods which were all very good. They have really good drinks & absolutely love their Matcha Tuesdays!

Hands down the best place for coffee in Colombo. Home of the infamous Temple Grounds roasters the coffee is certainly in my opinion the best offering on the island. Serving Japanese fusion cuisine, Kiku has a unique way of leveling up the usual suspects with a flare unmatched by any other restaurant/café. Honestly you cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu. Special shout out to the garden sodas on offer which are fantastic for the caffeine sensitive bunch as well as a solid bar menu with amazing cocktails adds to the variety. Topping it off the locations ambiance is also quite unique, with an excellent seating selection, decor and great music make for a good time every time.

Lovely coffee shop in a great location. The coffee is really well made (they have a professional barista set up, with a La Marzocco machine), with skilled latte art. Alternative milk options available, and vegetarian options too. I didn’t have any baked goods but I saw them on the counter and they look delicious. I also didn’t have any alcohol but I can see they have a good bar selection too. They also have a kids play area, with books and toys. The staff is ultra friendly and very attentive. Food and coffee arrived in a good amount of time (no long waits). Staff even gave me small change so I could pay for my tuk tuk ride even before I sat down as a customer, which I really appreciate!

The interior and the atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful. A great place to hangout for hours. The food and drinks are amazing! Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but it was worth it.

An upstair restaurant in Colombo 5 with a good ambience. We went during quarantine days and safety measures were taken right before we entered the cafe. Cozy atmosphere and quite good number of seating with japanese lanterns hanging on top. We tried their soda options (Passion Fruit and Grape). At first Passion Fruit soda was too sour and we asked for sugar syrup. Both these tasted good.specially the grape soda. Since we went there after lunch we wanted to try out a side dish and they recommended their Teriyaki Chicken + Veg dish which is also known as 'Wanpaku Sando'. It came as a sandwich with carrot, beetroot, egg and chicken layered. To be honest we were dissapointed as the bread was too hard to eat and didnt taste good. Pricing is not too high and affordable.Good spot to work + study as they provide wifi facility. We spent 4 hours without any disturbances. A chilled spot to hangout with friends. Parking is only available for maximum 4 to 5 vehicles. Service was good and the staff was very courteous and friendly. However overall an average experience.

Kiku Colombo is a cozy, Japanese-inspired cafe that has a lot to offer in terms of ambiance and presentation. The cafe is beautifully designed, with fancy cups and mugs that add to the overall aesthetic of the place. The presentation of the beverages is also noteworthy, as the latte art on matcha, lavender or rose, charcoal, and coffee is stunning. However, the menu is a bit limited, and the prices are a little steep. During my visit, I ordered a Lavender latte but was disappointed with the taste and presentation. It seemed like the barista was not there, and my drink did not meet the high standards that I had seen from photos. Nonetheless, the atmosphere of the place is charming, and it's an excellent spot for a coffee chat with friends.

One of my favourite places to have Japanese fusion food. One of their best dishes is Kimchi Cabonara and Kimchi Fried Rice. Their donuts 🍩 are die for. Super friendly staff as well.

Loved their food and drinks. They have a variety of garden sodas, Rose-Lemonade was my favorite. Karaage nuggets were delicious, had great flavor,nicely marinated with spices. Also tried their pork belly summer roles and kimchi carbonara. The staff was friendly and the place is nicely maintained. Nice place to hangout in Colombo. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and good service.

Absolutely love the space and the food. Their ice coffee is the best, because it's not too sweet. Can ask for syrup on the side. Food is superb, they have great vegan option. Great place if you like Japanese fusion, because it's done right, and the coffee is amazing.

Kiku Colombo is in so many ways a shining example of how all businesses (not to mention F& B outlets)should be run in this country. Let's start with the waiting staff, the staff member (Damien?) who I first spoke to apologised for keeping me waiting...but that was on me coz I was taking my time over my food and beverage selection and he was busy with other tables. Right away I noticed he had very good product knowledge. He was able to recommend dishes and drinks and even suggest alternatives. Everytime I asked him a question about the food/drinks (ingredients, style of preparations etc) he had the answer, none of that "I'll check with the chef" (which is fine but that phrase should never be used more than twice- maximum). He was cheerful and he looked like he was enjoying himself. His positive vibes were contagious. A little later a lady (who I learned from my friend was the owner) came by and ask if everything is OK, are we enjoying our food, and she actually thanked us for coming to Kiku. Now that just blew my mind because I can't remember the last time I've been thanked for my patronage in any business in this country. Finally the food and beverage, it was good. I loved the carbonara with tofu. The Vanilla-Rose Latte is Insta perfect but I'm not too crazy about. I also had chicken Karaage nuggets with miso sauce, which was really good. Overall Kiku Colombo's a good place,with good ambiance but most of all excellent service. Looking forward to my next time at Kiku.
