Good taste. Clean place. But food is not worthy with the cost. High rates but less potions. Management should shamed of the fruit salad they serve, it contains only papaya, melon & pineapple about 10 small pices from each but it costs LKR 350/- (Not a salad-only a just mix of 3 fruits) No sufficient staff for service. Take too much time for table serving. Place is too dark & even hard to read the menu with the lights. I would like to give the 2 star ratings only for the taste & the cleanliness.

I took my family today to celebrate my 1st salary treat dinner at Amrith. We all were so disappointed the quality and the taste of their food. Though the bill was Rs.5,300 for four of us, It was not up to the standard & taste we expected. It's nothing but waste of money & disappoinmtment. A humble request to food blogs, please taste the food before your honest comments.

I went there as I carved for Indian food. And yes I got it on the menu. Place is quite big and nice but lacks in good hygiene. About food, I was disappointed with the taste. I can easily tell this bcos I own a restaurant La Cuisine in India. Food was not anywhere even close to the north indian cuisine. Really disappointed.

It's a good place to find authentic Indian food in Colombo. The restaurant staff is friendly and the food are almost Indian like.🍲🍛 I enjoyed the dining. However, food are bit expensive than other Indian restaurants in Sri Lanka.

Great vegitarian food

This Indian Restaurant on De Fonseka Road in Colombo5 is not recommended for lunch or dinner. They dont offer a lunch special nor do they offer a good value for money and the food is not fresh. The service is not good either as the server is this old man who seems to be doing all the work and seems bored to death with no customers to serve. The manager was too busy on Facebook and couldn’t be bothered to be more hospitable to guests. The tables lack flower decoration, have fingerprints, and some tables have exposed wiring that could be dangerous and the lighting is out of a hospital. I like music but the rap music playing over the sound system is not what I expected and the lack of customers is a clear sign that things have not been good for this restaurant for years. Finally the food is way overpriced and lacks imagination or garnish. Butter chicken was 880LKR, 2 pieces of Naan 240LKR, Onion Salad 220LKR with lack-of-service charge and tax 230LKR put this meal to over 1750LKR for one person.

We'll to start off Amrith is an Indian Restaurant with good ambience. The copper plated cups. Brass utensils and the interior makes you feel like a Maharaja. The service is good. Waiters who come to you with very good manners and wit. The menu is ample enough and you've got a good variety of dishes to choose from Our order was vegetable buriyani and vegetable fried rice was not like what we expected. My rating for food would barely make to 3/5 but I don't want think that this would be all ways the case. Anyway I think I might make another visit in near future.

The first three types of drinks on the menu we ordered were not available. Two of the main dishes we wanted to have wasn't available although they were on the menu card like the drinks. Ended up sharing a bottle of soda water for drinks and two main dishes among the four of us due to this. The Nan was so bad, definitely wasn't freshly made but probably a frozen, extremely thin, like a biscuit, about five millimetres, heated on a pan. I wouldn't recommend this place and will never go again?

We went for lunch here today and did not have a good experience at all. We should have been warned that no one was there even though it was the peak of lunch time. Our driver even wondered if it was open. The food was mediocre at best, but they had almost nothing that we wanted on the menu. And even simple things like a lassi, raita, or pickle were not available. Would definitely not recommend!
