Can you tell the difference? One is chili chicken Hong Kong style and the other is a deviled pork. I really don’t know what these two dishes are which they’ve sent coz it didn’t look or taste like the relevant dish. The standard and quality of pan restaurant has dropped drastically. Will not be ordering again.

We used to buy food from Pan before the pandemic and after sometime I ordered food today!!! Usually their rice and curry was tasty. But the rice and curry I received today was the most pathetic! I specifically notified them not to put gravy but my rice was just sticky with gravy all over. The piece of chicken was pale looking with a huge blob of skin on it and there was some curry looked as polos which had more salt than whatever it was. After all we have to pay a premium price for a simple packet of rice from this restaurant as they were renowned to provide quality food. With the state of food that I received today I felt that I was robbed as the quality of food was very poor. Their standards have dropped beyond zero. Will not buy anything from this place and Would NOT recommend this to anyone either. Tried contacting them to share the state of the food but whatever the no they have mentioned on the net is not working.

They don't know how to prep meals on their own menus. Took more than 30mins to get our bill and they missed the curry for our meal and charged it with no shame!

Orders were rushed due to high crowd ended up with soggy fried rice and dry buriyani… oily chicken…. Spent Rs.13000 and not worth for the money i spent today. I have attached the photo of the buriyani below

Worst experience ever. Waited more than 15 minutes to get the food from lunch buffet. It was not served almost for 15 minutes. Once asked, manage waiter and cashier came hard on us. We left without food. This will closed within few years because who does not know how to treat customers will face serious of consequences.

Food is tasty but the service is very bad. I had ordered food at 17:53 and they lady who placed my order said I don’t have to had over the bill. Was waiting for more than 20 mints no one even cared to check on my order. There was another person who noticed us and inquired about our order. To see the staff had not realised that there was a bill which was sent, we got our order after 30 mints. The staff who were there was very unprofessional.

Food is not great nor worth it anymore, customer service is terrible. Back in the day the food and service was amazing, however we noticed a decrease in quality every time we visited and came to a point where we wouldn’t visit this place anymore. The staff isn’t professional whatsoever.

The place is famous for delicious food. Reasonably priced as well. They have an Indian section that has a wide range of Indian dishes. One of the best places to buy naan. Quick service as well.

After the box was changed recently from a plastic to a cardboard box, I have noticed the food potions also reduced. I have complained twice and chef brought a old box and try to convince me by showing how they serve previously and now. Then all who were at the counter understood what I said was right.previously large potion of rice was severed with a full box which is reduced now. the serving boy who serve us every day also told me that their were complains from customers and he accept the potions is less. The chef shouted at the serving boy and went away. I ask all customers to make a note of it. It’s a shame how they have done this and I trust this place for nearly 10 years . Will not be buying from Pan restaurant again . Shame on you !!!

I just bought a chicken rice and curry But couldn't eat it as Chicken was Spoilt. I just tried to contact them several time but number also not working.I thought PAN is well reputed restaurant at Wattala area but will never go there again due to this incident.

Food is fine but service is extremely poor. It took 40 minutes to serve 4 rice & curry plates. Felt sorry for the waiters as there were only two young boys to wait all the tables. Crazy management; they we’re having meetings with restaurant staff during lunch time. There were no one to serve inside the food cabin. Terrible.

One of the best places in Wattala to dine in or have a decent rice and curry. Prices are reasonable for the quality of their food. The place is clean and well maintained. One thing they can improve on is service when dining in, there was only one server, so it took over one hour to get food.

Used to be a good place. Now getting worse day by day. Ordered a beef and pork rice recently. Got a chicken and pork rice that took more than a half an hour to prepare. Even the pickme guy had to wait more than 15 minutes in there. The hotlin number didn't even work when i tried to call. They should consider their customer feedbacks otherwise they will loose their years of reputation.

I tried fried rice & chicken devilled. It's like alot of artificial flavors. disgusting taste. Portion is too small and too much source in rice. Not worth for the price. And I'm pretty sure that food are not fresh. It looks like the rice has been kept in the fridge and used again.

Ridiculous, I ordered few Parats a couple of days ago and the Price of a Parata is Rs.60. I thought I will get a big size Parata but it’s still the same as typical. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Yes the food is good. But they have increased pice significantly even though in these tough times.

Good place to visit for tasty food with a reasonable price..

Meals are really good in quality and taste. Only concern is the over crowded atmosphere for even take away.

I am one happy customer (my whole family) I have been visiting them from time to time since 2004, even recently I came all the way from Kaduwela(my hometown) to taste their food, just love the taste of their food on offer, specially the Indian dishes, they are fabulous and also very happy about their service provided at the family restaurant, I wish they keep up this level of service always ♥️♥️♥️

Food was delicious but we need to mention that staff at the restaurant was really disspointing. We have asked coca cola when we started the meal but they were unable to deliver it until meals are almost done. Even after two reminds. One cockroach was wandering between the tables and it was a big doubt about cleanliness and hygiene . I was there with my 3kids and none of the restaurant staff help us to exit the restaurant under heavy rain . They were all chatting and watching TV. We visited Pan on 02.08.20200

Cashier is very rude. She might be worked in a fish shop i guess. Management should guide them to be nice with their customers. Coz all are buying food for money. Not for free.

Thaali is one of the best dishes that I would recommend. Price is also reasonable for the variety of posions that it had.

It was not busy as usual today even it was a Saturday , or maybe Somehow I managed to pick a ideal time. Managed to find a good spot in the car park and not many people were in the queue. Food was delious and I took pork stew for dronks as well.Pork stew was exceptional and ideal to go as a bite with Wishkey.

Never miss out lunch time in Wattala without stepping into Pan. There is no other place in Wattala within the price range and such a variety of food to choose from. The car park is always full at lunch time but waiting a few minutes or finding a place near isn’t that much of an issue.

Whatever said and done the Pan Restaurant food is going to be my all time Favourite. You should try Pan Special Mixed Fried Rice which is the top notch in the menu.

I recommend Pan Restaurant one of the best restaurants to areas such as Wattala Kandana and Ja - Ela. Their food is tasty and taste varies dish to dish. Their lunch is superb as there are various vegetables according to your choice. Staff very nice and politely speak to the customers. Even the Management working very hard to bring up to a best standard day by day. I wish to the management and the employees All the Very Best.

Very interesting place. I've been to PAN many times with my family and friends over the years & it has never disappointed me. I suggest you go there around 7.00-7.30 PM as the place starts bustling with people after 8.00pm , food is excellent!! service is good and they serve beer and liquor too. Occasionally there are bands playing on Weekends at the family diner but i suggest the owners to keep the live trio going as it adds value to the experience. The pub upstairs is good for business or casual chats while enjoying a glass of whisky.. Overall clients are very well looked after.

I was vit my family for dinner at Pan yesterday. We were given a fabulous service by Chamile the stuart. A young boy vit full of energy, very attentive & very kind. He was very quick in giving his sevice not only for us but for the others as well. He was very prompt on all inquiries on the menu. A six star service 👏

Very slow service. Its better if the cashier was next to the buffet because we have to see whats on the menu, then go to the cashier, and then again go back to the buffet counter. And the servers need to be more efficient. They serve ready made food very slow.

The food is good . Local and Indian cuisine excels among other culinary fare. The service and ambiance leaves a lot to be desired . Coordination and management of orders, serving , billing and bringing the basics like a fork and spoon seemed to be huge problem for the staff. Everything had to be requested . To their credit when asked it was promptly given , however getting the attention of someone to make the request was an arduous job.

Food is tasty. There are lot of variety of foods. I try lot of food. Among the foods I did not recommend කොත්තු. Set menu is ok. Dinein available. Try the mix grill that have nice taste as well as japanese pork rise is better. Customer care is very poor. Waste the time a lot.

It is located near a main road and parking is an issue. However, the food was delicious, and portions were sufficient. You can spend some quality time with your friends.

Pan has the best quick-fix north Indian buriyani (chicken/mutton) you can buy! I've never seen a more consistent food offering. The taste and the quality is 10/10 each time!

Their rice and curry lunch menu is so good and have varieties of veges and side. Thier fried rice menu is tasty as well. The food is served with a good portion as well. Definitely should try once.

Best restaurant to be visited, however the tamil women at the cashier are messing with service standards at the moment. They spoke in tamil right before me and it was when I complaint about them not heating my food. They are worst cashiers I ever seen, to handle a complaint.

Very bad, poor customer service. Only care about the take aways. When a customer comes to dine in they never pay any attention. We have been waiting for 15-20 mins with a child. When went to the cashier to ask is this place selfservice she said we'll serve the lunch to tables and sit. So I waited and I even asked who to give our order to. She said, wait again. Okay..I waited. So many customers to handle and I do understand that. Then a lady ( I don't know who she is and I truly don't care because she sounded like a lady boss but with poor additude) who was packing lunch packets were telling other workers who's that lady standing there with a child?.. why is she waiting. I have purchased string hoppers form them around 6.00 PM and it was just about to finish the food item. Product was ok and price was LKR 10.00/ piece. Cost of curries was higher than other resturants in wattala, but it was upto the quality. There was less crowd in the resturant at the time which i do purchase. This place is slightly expensive, but the quality of the foods are good and it might be worth to pay more to get high quality service.

Pan has been a childhood favourite of mine. It is amazing that they have maintained a high quality through out many years. Lovely atmosphere and easy on budget. Food portions are good and very tasty. Would be amazing if dessert options are more wide. But overall i love eating at PAN. I hope they will continue to maintain the good level of taste they have always had for years to come.

Went there for 2023 new year. Has plenty of room for parking. No one were working. The Indians have left and never returned. So the food quality is gone. Only 1 server was working and restaurant full of people were waiting for 45mins to 1 hour for their meal. I stopped recommending this restaurant. Such a shame. It used to be great. I guess the owner can't be bothered to maintain thus place.

The staff is really friendly specially bandula and dhanu 🥰 and the atmosphere is calm and clean . They arranged a table in the second floor . We were 8 people in total and we only spent about Rs.10000 . Food is great

Terrible! Worst experience ever! A friend recommended and we got one Hyderabad Chicken Biriyani, one Chicken Fried Rice (Samba) and Rice and Curry Chicken. The Biriyani was tasteless and the rice was soggy as ever with just a bit of chutney! The chicken fried rice was just 🤢 the rice smell so bad let alone the rest of it🤐 The rice and curry was cold and tasteless too! The restaurant must understand that they do cheat on people’s food and health. If they continue to serve customers this way, it sure will go down

We ordered a beef biryani and normal fried rice for takeaway. We only noticed after we came home that it was a chicken biryani. Completely unprofessional and a complete waste of money. Even then the biryani was soggy and the portions were tiny. Most of all the fried rice was halfway rotten. This is the first time we were served rotten food by a restaurant. A complete disgrace of a restaurant. THIS RESTAURANT SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE AUTHORITIES FOR ENDANGERING PEOPLES LIVES BY SERVING ROTTEN FOOD. Serving rotten food is very dangerous and frankly this restaurant should not be open.
