No tickets needed for entrance.. One of most beautiful and calm place around Battaramulla.. There’s a Aquarium 🐠, Food stalls 🌭🍔🍟🍜🍧, Juice bar and a Ice cream parlour.. You should keep an eye for a sudden Raven attack for dishes on the table.. 😵‍💫 Place seems to be clean most of the times.. No food or Beverage allowed to be carried at the walking path.. Boat riding facility available with pedal Swan boats.. Pedal boats are in poor quality and no safe jackets will be given.. Per head cost is 150/= rupees for 20 minutes ride.. 🛶 🚤 Overall nice place to spend the weekend with family.. 😎😋☺️ •Cleanliness - 7/10 •Food Quality - 6/10 •

I have attached some photos of plants we have bought from Diyatha Uyana plant shops. The plants are healthy and beautiful. There are around 50 plant sellers with stalls here. So its currently the best place to buy flower plants around Colombo. There are also food and ice cream stalls here. We go here walk around and have ice cream on some the mornings and evenings.

If you choose to park your car on-site, it will set you back around 70 rupees. The dining area in the food court, however, can be a bit muddy and dirty, occasionally disrupted by crows and other birds. Despite these minor inconveniences, it remains a generally good place to spend a pleasant evening even though the weekends tend to draw large crowds.

During weekends, you may have to wait in a queue for 5-10 minutes to enter your vehicle to the parking area. Staff are helpful and professional. The green surrounding of this place is unique. Because I rarely see a tree in Colombo. Photographers can kill this place at the evening with the goldern light. I saw many kids came around here for their photoshoots. But this place becomes a carnival at the weekends. 😜 I mean crowdy. ☺ A huge parking lot there, so I didn't have to worry about that. Mask mandate is no longer necessary,I saw more people without masks. Dinner is not a problem to worry. Fried rice, Biriyani, Traditional foods, sea foods, Kottu and many many food choices. The place is totally free.

I think it is best available park in Colombo. Super 3D art to experience on the walkway! A total full package of play area, nature, lake, food court, plant shop. A great place to spend your evening with your kids (less than 12 will enjoy than others). Hire a kayak boat or duck boat to ride to get some adventure in the nature. You can also have lunch / dinner in water restaurant like top deck. Large Boat available to go to other side of the lake and visit train area with another small amusement park. My favorite place to visit frequently with my family and kids.

A much better place to relax your self after a busy day. Parking space available. Food court is open both day and night time. Plants and agriculture items are available only on weekends with reasonable prices.

A great place to go for walk, enjoy time with friends and family and if you are lucky enough, you may meet a celebrity! We did have some bad run ins with the security near the waterfront area. He wouldn't let 2 people sit on one of the concrete stools, he wouldn't let us sit on the pier, and he just kept pestering us the whole time until one of us had to ask him to back off. The concrete benches are obviously heavy and you cant move them around or add more to your table if there is a large crowd so sometimes we have to stand.

Park is really good , but be aware of annoying security personals. They force us and check our luggage to search for food or Bluetooth speakers. No Musical Instruments allowed in the park as well. Simply as a fact they might try to protect the environment and terminate sound disturbances, but as people if we try to protect both of them , we can remove those security personals off duty !

Beautiful. On 17th of June 2019, I found there were gathering at Independence Square and local were in beautiful traditional dresses. Perhaps it was occasion of Buddh Purnima and lovely congregation.

Great running path, now with dedicated cycles lanes around that area on Sundays. Lit up well at night.

Place is just beautiful. I frequently go there with my niece and her friends, and they had a time of their lives. It’s great place for kids to have a day out. There are also a decent collection of flowers if you want to purchase any. There’s decent parking available. Everything is slightly more expensive than usual, although it is worth it just for the location

Wow... This is awesome place to hang and talk. Nice view and chilling environment right in the middle of the city. I recommend you go in the morning or afternoon. Night time it looks beautiful with the lake reflection.

One of the best place to buy ornamental plants and other gardening items. in the food court local variety of rice and curry breakfast " kenda" to hamburgers submarines, pizza fruit juices. well maintained jogging tracks and leisure area to relax.

A pleasant environment to walk about, get some exercise, grab a bite (though that aspect is badly affected by the Covid situation) and relax for a while. Early morning and late afternoon/evening are the best times. The children's play area is an attraction for families and the beer towers at the restaurants are fun for older "children". An added attraction is the ferry ride across the water to the theme restaurant in the train in its own rail station and platform which also serves as the dining area.

They have parking on site and you don't have to buy a ticket to enter. It's free of charge. There is ample space to walk around and there are flower shops selling flowers and mainly plants and pots. I felt it was a great place for the whole family to enjoy. We went with our two toddlers. They enjoyed the walk in the park, outdoor play area, boat ride to Diyatha station, the fun rides at La la land and dinner at Diyatha station. Overall it was a fun evening for us all. Will definitely do it again soon.

Good Place to spend time with family and friends. There is a food court and some stalls to buy various hand made items. In food court you can buy kottu, rice , hot dogs, ice cream various drinks for reasonable price ( starting from LKR 350) . I suggest it's better to visit when sun is down because in the day time sun is hot.

Everything was perfect.. Place was clean and tidy.. site well maintained.. staff all friendly.. You could relax with kids playin out though they are not allowing toys to take inside the park. No entrance fee. There was lot of food stalls with affordable prices and can enjoy. And the waters edge broadwalk restaurant also inside the location. already planning our next visit but for longer next time

Diyatha uyana is one of the best places to be in when you need most important relaxation (Great place for relaxing in colombo), really nice scenic background with natural breeze. The place is great to have a rest, to relieve life stress. My self and my family usually visit this place once we get a time. The best is the environment and the lake near by. That view is just breath taking. Other thing is the food court. You can try various kind of food and beverages. There is a fish 🐠 aquarium so u are able to witness some fish therapy, not only that if u ar a gardening vibe this is the ryt place for u to buy vegetable, fruits and flower plants where u can get it for cheap price.

visited this place to pass the time while waiting to get my passport. The area boasts several shops selling plant nurseries, with an impressive selection of beautiful plants 🌱 🪴 that come with fertilizer and other equipment necessary for their upkeep. Additionally, there are a few food stalls in the vicinity, although the food quality is not exceptional, it's not bad either. One of the convenient amenities of this place is that it provides designated garbage 🗑️ bins for disposal. Furthermore, visitors can quench their thirst with free drinking water 💦 available here.

(Visited and reviewed on 15 June 2023) This is such a beautiful location located in between Rajagiriya and the Sri Lankan parliament, in Battaramulla. I liked the fish tank showcasing the different species of fish, alongside the different stalls at the location. Night time (when the sun sets around between 6.30pm and 7pm in the area) would be even better. However, my personal favourite was the park and its walkway. The tranquility exists despite the busy road passing by, and there is so much greenery around it with the beautiful Diyatha Uyana lake and the Water's Edge hotel linking the walkway. You can also view the Lotus Tower (Sri Lanka's and South Asia's tallest tower) from here. Lovers of nature being nestled in urban areas (local and international tourists) would love this place.

It's a nice place to spend time with family and friends. It has a big Plant market, Big fish tank, Food court, eating area, walking path and children's play area. Also the newly opened La La Land is located alongside here. You will have nice photo spots covering the City scape and color full snaps at night. There are some nice Street 3D arts you and your friends can't miss to take photos on with. There are boat/ferry services to navigate around the lake. This place can get crowded on Public holidays and weekends. Highly recommended for family outings.
