Nice island park located in Bere Lake of Colombo. Beautiful small park for quick visit. No entry fee. Can reach there using the suspension foot bridge. No restaurant, washrooms or any other facilities. Just some benches under the trees. Can see nice and beautiful landscape from the island. Good to visit there . No wheelchair accessible. Open from morning to afternoon.

In between the busy Colombo located this park near gangarama temple. Very attractive place but the small one . In the lake Board riding also there I think ticket also not much costly . Don't have enough car parking facility what ever it's personally I felt it is a very nice place to visit with family.

I was there only one time. But I am happy to say that this is a beautiful place to go and visit ,spend a day with your family or partner. If you want to feel the nature within the colombo area I think this is the best and only place. Thank you.

A excellent place to watch after visiting the gangaramaya temple. The entrance tickets purchased at gangaramaya temple is valid in the park also,so no need to get tickets separately. This park is located in the riverbank which is extraordinary to watch. Lord Buddha located in water gives us a visual treat surrounded by high rise buildings in Colombo. Have to go in barefoot,proper dressing sense and calmness maintained inside the premises. Excellent place for photoshoot. Definitely recommended to watch

The Diyasaru Wetland Park which was formerly the Thalawathugoda Biodiversity Study Park is an artificially built wetland. Covering approximately 60 acres with artificial ponds and canals, naturalists claim that if you are lucky you could see over 50 varieties of migratory birds, over 15 fish varieties including three endemic to Sri Lanka and over 25 butterfly species. It is also home to the endangered Fishing Cat. We visited on a Sunday morning after a phone inquiry. Entrance tickets are just 100 rupees each and a 30-45 minute boat ride is 500 rupees for 4 persons (with life jackets). Please make sure to buy your boat ticket at the entrance when buying your entrance ticket. The variety of bird sightings would of course depend on the season, climate and migratory patterns. Although if you look closely you will see many different species which may look quite common at first glance It was 5 of us - a couple of friends and my 7 year old daughter and husband. We had a truly invigorating morning, enjoyed a picnic there and spent more than 3 hours enjoying nature without realizing the time passing by. The only thing we could have done better is to have been at the park by 6.00 am (we went at 6.30). Highly recommended for nature lovers and of course photographers... but do note that there is a lot of walking required but many places to rest along the way. To end I want to say bravo to the SLRDC for this initiative (among many others of course) it gives a short but wonderful getaway!!!

The attractiveness of the park has increased with the bridge. Good place to relax. Enterence is from Sir James Pieris mawatha, just in front of Colombo City Centre. Swan boat service also available. Stay alert to avoid bird drops. Crows are everywhere here.

It is a nice place, but I rated it 3 stars only because nothing to do much here. It only took me a few minutes to finish walking around and yet, I still needed to buy a ticket to enter. The view is incredible, the lake view and skyline....You need to get your phone ready!! I clicked many.

You can find natural wildness in heart capital. Well managed by small staff. Boat ride costs about 500/- and worth it. There are lots of named trees and plants. You can buy organic vegetables too. Canteen or small shop would be very worthy inside park. Tickets are priced at 100/-. There's room for lots of improvements.

Gangaramaya Park is very popularized place among the millions of locals and foreigners. It's walking distance from the Gangaramaya Temple and Kollupitiya area. and easily enter into the park over the Cable Bridge. the park is beautifully clean and well maintained by the Army Soldiers. That children should not visit the park, because couples kiss there.

The cleaning staff was so disrespectful. I took my digital camera. They told me I can’t take photographs. So, I didn’t take. Just walk and watch the scene. Again they came and blame me loudly. I didn’t take a single photograph. Please tell them to be more respectful.

This park is beautiful park & has amazing Colombo buidings view.. The lake has not clean.. You can ride boat tours (හංස බෝට්ටු සවාරි) in this lake.. LKR. 250/= rate per person for this amazing ride.. The park is infront of newly opened Colombo City Center (CCC)

Its was closed because of covid 19 pandemic.A good place to practise parkour.

There is an abandoned island you are prohibited to go via the bridge and the bridge is closed. There is a boat ride service, we took a boat and rode to it. It was a good expeirience.

Place for families, friends and couples to visit and spend time in the middle of busy Colombo city. Located just in front of Altair mixed-development complex. We enjoyed the boat riding. Parking is a bit tricky so it's best to get a tuk tuk. These photos were taken from the nearby Nawaloka Hospital car bark.

Along with the calm atmosphere I enjoyed the lake view in a long ago.. Now it wasn't relaxed place as before but atleast u may get a little chance to see the wonderful crafts inside the temple and the remained beauty before it fade away.
