The tallest building in Sri Lanka and you get see a nice eagle eye view of the city of Colombo from the top of the tower. Place is very organised and well maintained. I would say the best time to go there is for the sunset. It allow you for a great sunset view over Indian Ocean and followed by the city lights. Still the restaurant is not functioning in the tower which is located on the deck. But there are few food stalls on the ground floor.

Had an incredible experience in Colombo Lotus Tower. The tower is a magnificent piece of architecture and offers stunning views of the city from the observation deck. The elevator ride to the top was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful. Once at the top, the panoramic views were breathtaking, and it was the perfect place to take in the sights and sounds of Colombo. The tower also had a variety of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops, But They're not Opened yet... The experience inside the tower was also fantastic, with interactive exhibits showcasing the history and culture of Sri Lanka. The tower also had an observation deck which offered a 360-degree view of the city and it was a great place to take photos. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Colombo Lotus Tower to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. The tower is a must-see attraction and offers a unique and memorable experience. It's a great way to gain an appreciation for the city and its culture.

Locals : 500 Foreigners: 6700 Nice views. Thought it would be like a quick stop and leave scene cos there’s not much to enjoy. There’s no major stalls or mall like vibe or anything but the views keep you hooked for hours. There’s some food options, there’s a small tourist shop for souvenirs and that’s about it. Ample paid parking too.

A Must Visit Place in Colombo. Different weather gives you different views especially the sky. It got the fastest lift in South Asia. Better wear suitable clothes if you are planning to visit the observation deck as the wind blows upwards lifting your dress from under.

Great experience. Ticket price is 500 per person and 300 for kids . This is price for local. Foreigners have a different price. After visiting the viewing area in the 29th floor, you can have nice leisure seating area with food stalls. It’s better if you good go during the sunset time so you can view both day and night

I visited the Lotus Tower in Colombo Sri Lanka last week. . It is the tallest building in South Asia and it looks like a giant lotus flower. The view from the top is breathtaking. You can see the whole city and the ocean. There are also restaurants, shops, and a museum inside the tower. I had a great time exploring the tower and learning about its history and design.

Wonderful view. 19th tallest tower in the world. The observation deck at 244m. The ticket is Rs. 500. Friendly staff. For kids, there is a small train on the ground floor. No restaurants yet. There is a big car park adjacent to it (entrance next to the post office building ).

It's the highest tower in South Asia. The high speed lift takes you to the 360 degrees observation deck from where the panoramic views are astonishing. It's also quite windy up there. Excellent photo opportunities at the deck. There's also a food court at the bottom level and a couple of fast food kiosks just outside the tower.

Well... 'Okay' type of experience. Fast elevator. Nice view. The rotating restaurant or whatsoever is closed for maintenance when I was visiting. Few stalls at the base and few more near the parking area. Got scammed by outside parking. The guy told me the parking provided by the facility is very high and they are only charging Rs.150. However when I asked the staff about it. I got to know that they are only charging Rs.50 for cars and Rs.100 for a jeep, van etc. So don't park outside. 😌

I visited the Lotus Tower with my parents and my wife on the weekend and was impressed by its amenities catering perfectly to elders. The accessibility and comfort provided make it an ideal destination for family outings. Soon, it’ll also be a hotspot for adrenaline junkies with bungee jumping from the top floor. A must-visit for both the views and upcoming thrills!

A Breathtaking Marvel: Lotus Tower, Colombo I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lotus Tower in Colombo, and I must say, it left an indelible impression on me. As I stand here trying to articulate my experience, words seem insufficient to capture the sheer magnificence of this architectural marvel. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the tower's awe-inspiring presence. Standing tall at a remarkable height, the Lotus Tower serves as a symbol of Sri Lanka's innovative spirit and architectural prowess. Its design, resembling a blooming lotus flower, is an exquisite blend of modernity and tradition, seamlessly blending with the city's skyline. The interior of the tower is equally impressive. The observation deck offered breathtaking panoramic views of Colombo. As I gazed out, I could witness the city's vibrant life with its bustling streets, stunning coastline, and the picturesque Beira Lake. The bird's-eye view of Colombo from the tower was an experience that filled me with awe and appreciation for the city's beauty. What sets the Lotus Tower apart is the impeccable service provided by the staff. Their warm hospitality and knowledge about the tower's history and features added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. Their enthusiasm in sharing insights further complemented the overall experience, making it truly memorable. I must commend the management for their commitment to safety and accessibility. The tallest building in Sri Lanka. Can have a great view of Colombo. Harbour, port city etc.. No other activities. Nothing else is open to the public. Once you go there, they'll take you straight to the top. Don't park outside as there is a park inside.

  • 3/5 Dineth H. 9 months ago on Google
Visited the Colombo Lotus Tower a few weeks after it opened. It was quite crowded at the time, which affected the overall experience. The view is quite nice, but unfortunately, you can't enjoy a 360-degree view due to barriers. The interior atmosphere could use a bit of sprucing up to match the excitement of the exterior. A decent place to visit, but there's room for improvements.

Iconic landmark of Colombo city. Built as a multipurpose tower and now it has become a tourist attention. Can see the entire city and beyond from up here. Very windy on the top so better be careful though there are plenty of protection. There's a restaurant called floating restaurant but its not operational yet. 500 LKR was the local price in Nov 2022.

#LotusTower (Sinhala: නෙලුම් කුලුන; Tamil: தாமரைக் கோபுரம்), also referred to as Colombo Lotus Tower, is a tower 350 m (1,150 ft) high, located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It has been called a symbolic landmark of Sri Lanka. As of 2019, the tower is the tallest self-supported structure in South Asia; the second tallest structure in South Asia after the guy-wire-supported INS Kattabomman in India; the 11th tallest tower in Asia and the 19th tallest tower in the world. It was first proposed to be built in the suburb of Peliyagoda but later the Government of Sri Lanka decided to change the location. The lotus-shaped tower is used for communication, observation and other leisure facilities. Construction costed $104.3 million.

Good addition to the lovely city of Colombo. This will be a symbolic landmark for the city's identity. If done right, this would attract many tourists and can generate a good fortune of income. As of mid November 2022, only the observation deck is functional which presents a marvelous bird's-eye view of Colombo. The tower will be more attractive when the rotating restaurant, function halls, bungy jumping, etc. comes to action in near future (hopefully). People should be more responsible in keeping the cleanliness and the beauty of it. Sadly though, people have littered everywhere despite ample amount of garbage bins were placed in the vicinity.

Will be opened from 15th September to the public but it always keeps a scar in people's heart as to how it was built by the previous government. Anyway it's now a property of the country. Let anyone make use of it and get a good revenue to the country. Hope everything will get better soon...
