Beautiful place for a cozy and lively night hangout . There was a live music station which was so good. Ample space for kids to play and few decent places to have a snack too. Not a place to be in on rainy days though.

This is a Shopping complex converted former Western Provincial Council Building in the heart of the Colombo.. People used to come there for relaxing and also for photo shoots too.. 📸 There are some premium cloth shops, restaurants and so on.. Arcade Independence Square occupies a great looking building from the British colonial era. At the time of my last visit, large parts of it were under renovation. The parts that were open to visitors were attractive and well worth a visit. If you're here to shop, most of the stores are aimed at the luxury shopper, so be prepared to pay high prices for items that you can get cheaper outside Sri Lanka.

Nice place to have a walk around and chill out. The independence arcade is place where one can read a book in peace, roam around with a loved one, have a bite to eat,get schoolwork/homework done,have a little party or my favourite have a bubble tea with a friend while just chatting away reminiscing good times and how the present day is faring to each other. One can go to shops which sells items ranging from mobile phones to clothes in this place. Will this be a place for a first date ? Definitely.The place is absolutely clean and is very well kept by the staff attending the place. This is the perfect example of how an old administrative building can be transformed into an elegant public place. The wooden interior and old styled furniture are a great combination to make this market place a tourist attraction. Most of the shops are of world leading brands, so price is definitely high. But anyone who loves old architecture, it's really worth visiting. A colonial place that has been renovated / converted into boutique shops that sell upbmarket branded wears and cafe. Good place to stopover when one is visiting the Independence Square.

I went there with my own sister since it was my sixteenth birthday we went there and the place is absolutely amazing I felt as I was in another country or somewhere. Me and my sister got lot of photos. The place is absolutely amazing and beautiful. I love this place. I went to some shops inside the arcade and the prices are little high but it's meaningful. And my sister and I ate there and food is amazing. We went there on day time. Not much people but it was fun to take pictures and walk inside of it. And people there is literally awesome like they talk with so much proud and security is very well. Security guards are everywhere and they protect the people here. And the place is very safe. I would love to go with my family there again and have so much fun and spend some time there. I want to go there by night which will be very awesome. I hope anyone who see this absolutely visit there I mean why not right 👍 the place is good not kidding go right now 😊❤️

Visited last Sunday after the international book fair 2023, This cosy place and is known as the most popular place to visit Colombo 07. It has different vibes to it depending on the time of the day, but rainy 🌧 days have not much chill. Look is like an antique and elegant 😍 This is a wonderful location for photography and wedding photo shoots. But you have to get permission for the photoshoots prior from their office. in the morning, an ideal place to do some yoga/exercises. There is a mini golf ⛳️ course and indoor and outdoor restaurants, including Burger King. There are shops from international brands The parking lot is sufficiently spacious, though there could be a rush during the weekends. The Washroom usage fee is 50/=.. 🚽 Great place to visit with your friends, family, and loved ones. Highly recommended.⭐️

This is the building that is right next to the independence square. This used to be one of the only shopping malls in Sri Lanka. But of course now there are many more modern shopping malls. The specialty of this place is that is it very different to modern day shopping malls especially because it was built some years back. It offers a beautiful experience..and since it is right next to the independence square and independence garden it is an ideal place to spend the evening with the family. The wooden architecture inside stands as a unique feature of the arcade. There is also a cinema inside as well...It used to be one of the best and most expensive cinema. These are 2018 pictures.

The food variety is lacking and not moving thereby not fresh at all. The service isnt up to standard. The miniature golf course looked cute but again it was pricey. The price of a washroom ticket was 50rps. The washrooms werent even properly cleaned. The boba place here had no bubble tea. Very disappointed. The directions arent enough round the place, very easy to get lost. But the environment looked nice and there was plenty of parking.

It may be as a result of Covid 19 pandemic. Finally the place is very clean and well maintained.

One of the best shopping malls in Colombo. It has shops from famous local and international brands, cinema complex and fairly decent food court. Vehicle parking facilities are also quite good.

The building has been renovated preserving it's unique historically value. Very nice peice of engineering work. And the landspaing also has been nicely designed and keep maintaining regularly.

The place is great, but for some reason, I feel there's nothing much to do there other than just sit and walk. Also, it wouldn't kill if the securities were a bit kind... Overall, nice place to go for a walk or chill, although there aren't many comfortable places to sit.

There are several shops you can do some shopping ,saloons & spa's for a makeover also there are very nice restaurants where you can grab something to bite.

One of the best places to visit during the free time. You can find so many luxury brands and items. Plus there are so many cafes. Even if you wanna read books, highly recommend this place. I have eaten from burger king there, the 'bk rice' is good and affordable (regular LKR 280). The place has beautiful scenery, with a fountain and well groomed plants. In addition, the mall itself holds many different shops including traditional medicine shops, clothing and food.

Good place to make some relaxation. In the arcade place you can find food stalles and other places like clothing shops so on. Price is little bit high than outer places. But it's ok if you need a change to your life. Suitable for people who do regular exercises, yoga kind of things. Morning and the evening are the best time to visit there even it little bit crowded. You can see Neluma Kuluna closly to this area when it lit there colorful lights.

The area almost looks like abandoned yet the burger king inside the Arcade seems to be the only place tjat is active with public crowd. A good place to have little chit chat dates.

This is the place, where I visit for the most of the time. It has its own classic nature and historical vibe. It feels good when you go there, roam around the buildings and walking paths. There are some outdoor dine-in, where you can order and eat outdoor, while admiring the surroundings. They recently started live music performances with different local artists and youngsters and it is an innovative idea though.

Building with modern day shopping malls (bit in the pricey end of course) and restaurants with fine dining (limited options but still better), it's right next to independence square. You can roam around the area and spacious enough to children to play. It has different vibes to it depending on the time of the day. Morning is a place to do some yoga/exercises while evening to hangout with friends or even watch some live musical performances by local artists (depending on the day).

5 stars only for the outdoor space they have. It's very chill, have chai and some other eating spots. Can hang out with your friends and family. I am not a fan of the shopping centre itself because the vibes are weird.

The arcade was previously a mental hospital and transformed into a very modern and clean space for locals and tourists to enjoy. The architecture is really elegant and modern, worth a visit just for this :)
