DO NOT book with this company. We were met at the airport and confirmed with our driver that our trip was prepaid prior to getting in the car including all tolls and taxes. Then after travelling with him he asked for money to pay for a toll. We refused to pay saying that we had prepaid and showed him our email which clearly states no further payments are required. He agreed only after stopping and calling his boss. Then upon arrival he asked for payment. I was dumbfounded given that we clearly discussed that our trip was prepaid prior to getting in the car. There was no language barrier but our driver told us he didn't understand this conversation at the airport. We refused to pay however he wouldn't leave and became quite intimidating. We ended up having to pay him again. We discussed this issue with his boss over the phone but he also informed us that we had not paid prior despite receiving a receipt via email from him and the money having been taken from my account. I would warn against booking anything with this company!

Our driver Noel deserves 5+ stars. He spoke good English and was knowledgeable. He took care whilst driving and stopped off at places of interest explainin the surroundings. We had originally booked and confirmed 5 trips but Noel was only informed of 4 by the owner of SLE Tours Sampath. I emailed Sampath about another driver for our last trip from Tangalle to Hikkaduwa but despite the earlier confirmation he didn't respond even though I emailed him, phoned and text in advance. Communication with SLE Tours was frustrating and concerning not knowing if a driver would turn up. I would say other than our driver who I think we struck lucky communication with the owner Sampath was more than poor. SLE TOURS is a big operator with around 90 drivers across Sri Lanka. I think they really need to up their game on the communication fronts. Yes prices are cheaper than other companies but customer service is greatly lacking. I would not use again due to unreliable communication. However I cannot praise our Driver Noel enough, he was a gem and real credit to the company. Book if you want but with caution. 4 trips each approximating 3-4 hours cost me a total of $243 all inclusive, with a tip given to Noel for his individual service. Thanks Noel, and shame on you Sampath for your lack of communication.

We had a good experience with SLE tours. Our driver, Ramesh, was experienced, kind and helpful. Would definitely request for Ramesh if we return to Sri Lanka.

Driver took me to the wrong destination. I never got to go where I hired him to take me. They wouldn't give me a partial refund, even though they clearly did not deliver the service we agreed to. Not only that, but he took me the slowest, worst way possible. If you MUST book with them, get out your GPS and hold them accountable, or you'll end up seven hours away from the destination you thought you'd be arriving at any minute.

We have travelled for 2 weeks around the country with our fantastic driver Dinuka! We had a great trip. Dinuka provided us with great information, tips and advice, he had a lot of patience with our kids and was very polite. His driving skills were perfect and he was always on time. Would definitely recommend booking with SLE tours and put in a special request for Dinuka!

My driver Noel arrived on time, service was excellent, no language barrier. Comfortable drive. Would reccomend 100%

Our car was nice but our driver was hopeless. Even though we'd booked months in advance, the driver was unaware of the routes as he'd been given 7 hours to prepare and had never done a "tour" before. We didn't ask for a guide but this young man could barely control the vehicle, didn't know the roads and when we asked to stop at a grocery, he took us to a restaurant. His boss apparently told him not to change the hybrid car out of "eco" mode so we were underpowered in the mountains. He avoided using toll roads so wasted our precious time. Payments were to be on the second day and within 1 hour, we stopped for fuel and the driver needed me to pay since he had no money! I was quoted a price inclusive of fuel, tolls, etc. so I hadn't planned on needing more currency for that. The boss also claimed the road to Horton Plain was too rough for our SUV and delayed our trip again. His offer to write off any extra mileage was worthless since we weren't doing high mileage trips. Nonetheless, we did average an extra 2 hours in the car per day because the driver couldn't follow a GPS. Very disappointing.

Very good service. Our driver Mr Ramesh was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip (3 nights and 2 days). He stopped at almost every tourist destination to show us around. (even though it wast included in the Itinerary) Overall the company gave us a very comfortable car with a well experienced driver for a pretty good rate. Compared to the other cab service agencies the response of SLE Tours was the fastest.

We booked the taxi for 5 days and 4 nights from SLE tours in February. While booking we clearly mentioned our requirements and I am happy to share that the service provided by Mr Sampath was as per our expectations. Our driver(Wasi) was polite,humourous and knowledgable also the car(Honda Shuttle)was in a good condition. It was a memorable trip!

We booked SLE tours for our 5 day trip in December. Booking process was smooth and received prompt responses from Sampath. Car (Honda shuttle) provided was in a good condition. The 5 star rating though is for Suminder, our driver on the trip. He was friendly, punctual and drives safe. We had a very good experience overall.

Me and my brother travelled to Sri Lanka for 10 days in August 2023. Our first driver was Sampath. His car broke down the day after we arrived so he sent us another car with another driver and tour guide called Dinuka. Dinuka was an amazing driver and tour guide. Always on time, always smiling, very knowledgeable about what to see and all the history of the places we visited. He is an excellent driver, always made sure we were safe wherever we went. He made our whole trip really enjoyable and relaxed! We are so happy we got to meet him and spent 10 days in his company. Highly recommended! Sthuthi Dinuka!
