Nice hotel with a beautiful decoration, has also nice views on both the ocean and the city. Room space and facilities very good. And they have a nice infinity pool and gym. Also a nice roof top cafe and restaurant. They have also an indoor self parking which was a good option as I was renting a car.

Google Maps has the Cinnamon Red listed as a 3 star hotel but in my experience, it exceeds that rating. The customer service is exceptional. Check in and check out was a breeze relatively, considering adherence to Covid-19 protocols. The room was beautiful and clean. The view from the 24th floor is *chef's kiss*. The 40' Samsung TV doesn't have a USB port but had Screen Casting so we could watch a movie by casting our phones. There was an ironing board and iron available which is super convenient. There is a table with a work chair so you can get your work done. The bathroom was relatively small but still had all amenities. I don't have a single complaint when it comes to the room. The best thing was the Infinity Pool. It's BREATHTAKING. Overall an amazing experience and can't wait to stay there again. Highly recommended

My wife and my self stayed here for 2 days. It's value for money. Both the Breakfast Buffet and the Dinner Buffet is great. Restaurant Staff is superb. Room was clean. Only suggestion is to provide room to hang coats, ironed shirts etc.. Highly recommend.

Staying 10 days at Cinnamon Red, while attending to official matters in Colombo and working remotely. The hotel is tucked away in a green residential area, but all parts of Colombo can be conveniently reached. I was given a king room on lake side .. and have been enjoying the breathtaking views of Indian Ocean and Colombo. Room is spacious, well lit, well appointed, crispy clean, comfortable and has everything you need - including a working desk, a chair and desk lamp. I have enjoyed the Cafe, Restaurant and the Rooftop Bar - with amazing views & great live music. Service from ground floor security to reception to gym to infinity pool to rooftop bar is exceptional. Must mention Chamath who attends to 21st floor cleaning & services as well as bartenders at the Rooftop Bar are amazing. Cinnamon Red offers Five Star facilitates & care for a reasonable price. I absolutely loved my stay and feeling sad to leave. And yes, I’ll definitely be back for more pampering.

A great urban hotel with ample of facilities to have a comfortable stay. Although it was built recently the TV's and some stuff seem a bit of older generation but apart from that everything else was nice. Specially there's a spectacular view overlooking the whole Colombo and the port city. Food was great and their breakfast buffet was worth the price. The rooftop pool and the gymnasium got the basic amenities and cleanliness was good. Overall it's an ideal choice if you want to hang around Colombo for a few days and to get on with your stuff.

The views here were absolutely stunning at the rooftop bar. The drinks are very well priced. There is a great selection. The staff are lovely I would like to give a specific shout-out to Eranga who made the whole experience. 10/10 would recommend.

The rooms are well appointed, the location is great. It's the service that's a let down. It's not bad, but it could be so much better. The property is great, the rooftop bar is awesome and highest in Colombo. The infinity pool next to the rooftop bar is a great place to watch the sunset while taking a dip. The restaurant is good too.. it's just the service that needs a bit of attention.

Went their Flavored restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner last week. The food is great. A wide range, fresh and tasty. We were with our one year old kid and I thought it would be very difficult to have dinner with her. But the staff was very helpful and patient with my child. Tried the dinner buffet. It was worth the price. Food was tasty. But definitely can improve on the varieties offered for the main course. The staff was professional. Overall a really nice experience. There is ample parking available. There are beautiful graffiti in the parking areas.

Smart modern clean hotel with roof top Pool, bar and gym. Rooms spacious and enjoyable. Great city views from upper floors. Rooftop is a sort of local Night spot disco or live music. Very intimate though. You can also have quiet eats and drinks up there during the day very nice…… Buffet breakfast international with local options. Beds very comfortable and overall a good 3 day stay. Drinks prices fair for city hotel food prices similar. Staff appear generally motivated and cheerful. WiFi good. Rooms have iron and ironing board. Laundry service at hotel for modest prices. All in all a positive experience.

The Cinnamon Red is a nice hotel in a good location. This is the first stay that I’ve had at the Cinnamon Red. It is a good place to stop through on your way in or out of Colombo. The staff is really wonderful and the rooms were very comfortable. The rooftop pool has an amazing view of the ocean and perfect for a swim and sunset. The other side of the level has a very nice bar and looks out over the central park. Dinner buffet at Flavored was amazing with limited varieties and I hope that it continues to keep raising its standard because it's a very nice hotel!

High rise hotel with views on all sides accompanied by a rooftop pool and bar. We stayed on one of the top floors and the view from our room was just so nice. Quick and friendly staff with well equipped room and everything else was just add ons for a better stay!

Was truly a 5 start experience! The vibe at cloud red was somewhere between chilled out and hyped with amazing views of the colombo skyline making it the best roof top bar to have a drink on a Thursday night! We went for a High Tea. It was my wife's birthday. The High Tea at Cinnamon Red was delicious with many varieties. The staff was amazing and helpful, especially Shahnaz. We arrived at Cinnamon Red at 3 a.m. after 20 hrs of flying, so we were quite ready to rest. I am only giving the hotel 3 stars because the room was not thoroughly cleaned. There was urine on the toilet seat and a lot of hair on the floor. However, the beds were fresh and comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive and the food from the restaurants was delicious. We stayed on the top floor and had an amazing view of the city. The rooftop views were also amazing with a beautiful pool and bar.

My recent stay at this remarkable hotel surpassed all expectations. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff going above and beyond. Room was nice and clean. If the rooms provides inside the rooms the tooth brush, paste...it will be great then. I paid $160 for two nights ( 126+34) charges vat....) but breakfast was not included... I told about this to them... I did not feel it. All the good + rating hotel provide complementary breakfast includes breakfast with this rate.

Cloud Red is having a chill vibe and cool atmosphere to cheer. They are having good range of beverages and specially cocktails are recommended. Less food items in the cloud red menu but actually delicious

A terrible place to get quarantined. Food in cardboxes are inedible. Further, WiFi works for a day and needs to be reminded for the rest of the duration which never was connected. Overall a pathetic hotel with just expensive rates.

I lived in this hotel for a month in a beautiful room with a panoramic view. But the most important thing is that Shashee(room boy) always cleaned my room. Just a wonderful and professional guy, my room was always clean and well-kept and the most important thing was the surprises he left there. I definitely recommend the best staff!

Went for the dinner buffet. Service is friendly and helpful. There is a good verity. And of course there is a coffee machinne. Pizza is not good. Thick and just bread. It will fill you up. So skip it. The rest is worth the price. Will definitely go again. Seating arrangement could be bit better

A lovely place to stay. Advertised as no frills it has everything you need, but don't forget your body lotion because non is provided. We have tried the two restaurants and the cafe and the staff are great in all 3. The food is varied and delicious. The rooftop terrace is magical

It booked cinnamon Red for 10 days in first week of July this year but ended up staying for a month. I came to work and take care of some official matters. The best budget hotel I have ever stayed. Employees at cinnamon Red are vey professional, kind and courteous. Great place to work and relax The rooms are clean and specious with work desk. I would definitely stay again once I come back to Colombo again.

We just went to the rooftop bar for cocktails and regretted so much we didn’t stay in this place. Amazing infinity pool with stunning views. And the bar on the other side of the building, wow. They have happy hour between 5-8PM on many cocktails and beer, 50% off. We payed 10.000 for five drinks, one beer and some chicken wings. Just go there!

We booked ahead online and confirmed but when we arrived it was over 20 minute check in process for 2 adults with only us, no line. The staff is friendly and helpful, most can speak English as well. They don’t have a lot of their current amenities such as midnight snack or poolside snacks. Some nearby hotels offer 24 hour dinning support and service. View of the city from the room is impressive, but the view from infinity pool and bar were limited by hanging Christmas decoration and lights that reflected on the glass at night. Bed is really comfortable. The shower drain was clogged and flooded the bathroom a bit. Shower gel and shampoo included. Safety box available in closets. Rooms are simple, but modern and cool looking with white and red theme. Wifii info provided didn’t work. Reception only answers phone sometimes, so better be able to get your own answers online. Pool towels available at pool area. Pool seating is highly limited to 6 benches you can out on and 2 chairs you can sit on. Pool is noisy between the outside city noise and small space shared with other guests. Don’t expect a relaxing experience here. Pool water temp is perfect. No lifeguard at the pool. Breakfast is tasty with tons of options both western and local. Small juice glasses though. Bar drinks are nicely prepared and generously served, prices weren’t bad. Parking available. Security checkpoint at the entrance with temperature test as well. Sanitizing mats and hand sanitizer throughout the building. No poolside service and bar closed until 5pm. You cannot enjoy drinks by the pool. If you buy pizza or food, you cannot sit by the bar terrace. Room cleaning is great and efficient. We left a nice tip for their service.

Went there for a dinner buffet with cousins and we had a great time. Buffet cost less than 3000 rupees per person and since we had a large crowd they also offered a discount. Buffet had a western menu with Indian cuisines and Hopper hot station. Compared to other five star buffets the number of items were limited but it worth the price. There rooftop restaurant and pool is another place you should try.

Located at center of Colombo, little behind the Galle green face. We were in Colombo just for 1 night so booked Cinnamon Red. Budget friendly hotel for short trip and excellent view from rooms. Roof-top bar and infinity pool gives luxury touch to it. We stayed in 24th floor and the view was just awesome. Rooms size is decent with basic amenities. Food is also good.

Room was cozy and spacious. Not happy about room service, asked two extra pillows and got those after 1 hour for the second inquiry. Foods were delicious, but string hoppers were in low quality. Dried out. Overall stay was 'OK'.

The view from the room is stunning, look at my photos. The mattress is comfortable and so the pillows. I would stay here again if I plan another Colombo trip. Breakfast was around 1600 per person, price was fair considering the large selection at the breakfast buffet.

Went here for a one night stay with a hopes of extending it for a couple weeks. The experience from the very start was the worst I've had at any hotel in colombo. Could explain the whole thing here, wish I had the time. Will be meeting with the folks hire up to notify them about the service standards before I go back.

My wife and I Recently stayed at Cinnamon Red for one month from March to April 2022. Excellent service and good facilities. During the month we stayed in 3 different rooms on two different floors. Room service is really good. The gym is average, however it has most stuff and not crowded. So you can use the machines. The swimming pool was really nice and I used it every day to relax. The buffet was also very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

When we sit down, we have to choose what we want so we think they cook it right away. Yet, everything is cold (not even warm) when served. I wouldn’t pay money for this if I knew it. There’s so many good coffee shops for breakfast around that area.

Good location and amazing view from the room and the rooftop pool. The room is spacious with mini bar and good WiFi. Breakfast is fine with enough choices. Only negative points were the slow check-in and the fact that you have to put your bag through the x-ray machine every time you enter the building.

The staff are friendly and the manager gave my kids two soft toys which they still love. Their French fries is heavenly. The best in town for sure. Great place.

This review is not about guests, its about me. I love this place. Even though the food and beverages are grossly overpriced, the staff are so friendly. I appreciated the service from the bar staff on the rooftop as well as the people on floor seven, the porters, the restaurant staff and the check in dude. I'm sorry I can't remember names but I sincerely hope these workers get well rewarded for their great efforts. What bothered me however, was the presence of masks. REally? Do masks still have to be a thing? A formality? Show me a guest who likes it that way and I will be taking that guest outside for a sweet talk about the fact that prolonged wearing of masks is not good for the health, removes the smiles and keeps up the paranoia about a long gone pandemic. Please, for the love of God, remove the masks.

Lovely hotel. Staff very helpful, rooms were clean and gym.was.great! There isn't enough seats around the pool so you'll be lucky to be able to use it. We didn't rate the breakfast either and would recommend trying the local breakfasts else where.

This is my second time at the hotel and after getting used to it on the first trip, meaning how it functions, I am extremely happy with all factors of my stay. The customer service is excellent, the food is very good, the rooms are clean, it has great facilities and the staff are always very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again or recommend it to someone coming to Colombo.

Recently took the family for a dinner outing at the Flavoured restaurant- weekend dinner buffet. The food and the taste was okay, but more variety in items would have been better. The desserts were good. As the space is limited the buffet area can get congested when serving. The service of the staff was great; helped out escorting my grandmother in a wheelchair. A wholesome view of the capital can be witnessed from the rooftop along with the pool.

Rooms are nice and clean with city/sea view. Room rates are very reasonable. Adjoining rooms are provided on request. The view from rooftop pool is quite amazing. Food is great too. Breakfast buffet had many options including cappuccino/latte. Ample parking is available.

I went there for dinner with my family. I called them to make the reservation for the next day's dinner. The person who answered the phone asked me to do a bank deposit for the reservation. This is the first ever time I have asked to do an advance for a dinner buffet. After a small argument, they managed to put a tentative reservation. The Flavoured restaurant was nicely arranged. Btw, the staff service was poor and they are shy to talk or smile. Especially the live kitchen cooks didn't look at us to avoid asking. Washrooms are small and only can accommodate one at a time. Having said all of that, the food is awesome. Just like most Cinnamon hotels they are at the best. Value for money!
