I was at Clock Inn on 25/26th July. The overall experience was disappointing. The one and only good thing about the property is its’ location. Apart from that every other thing was disappointing. There was a bad odor in the room. We got only one towel for a double room though they said they would bring another, it never arrived. No soap found in toilets. We had to get the pillow cases changed as we found stain and hair on them. The linnen and curtains looked unclean. Small room and there were sand on the floor which showed that the floor had not been swept. Breakfast was very simple such as one egg, two small sausages and bread. We had to ask for butter. Sorry but should say it was an unpleasant stay.

I recently had an overnight stay at this inn and decided to extend my stay until 7 pm. The receptionist assured me that I would only need to pay upon checking out. Unfortunately, upon my return to the dorm, I discovered that they had given my bed to someone else. The person occupying my bed was unaware of the situation and mistakenly believed that I was using their bed. It was quite disappointing that they would allocate my bed to someone else after I had extended my stay. To make matters worse, the room service staff attempted to shift the blame onto me, despite the fact that it was my bed originally. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place to others, and I personally would not choose to stay here again.

We had a good experience staying at this hotel. It has a nice lounge area, a decent outdoor seating area for having food, breakfast is decent & rooms tidy. The staff has also been helpful. All at a decent price.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I have to say, it was a huge disappointment. The room was small and cramped, and I couldn't even open the window curtains because of the office building next door.😠 To make matters worse, there were no coffee or tea packets provided, no kettle, and no elevators - just stairs. The bathroom had a terrible smell and there was only one towel provided. The wifi connection was also incredibly slow. I expected more for the price I paid and I can't believe that this is considered "value for money?? 🥹" The only redeeming factor was that the TV had all the channels and the hot water worked well, but that's it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely not stay here again. 💔

Do not recommend this place to anyone. It’s looks like Tamil colony..! In the main lobby, they put mattresses and sleeping and eating. It’s disgusting. This place good for dogs..!

We just stayed for one night, and it was a nightmare. First, when we checked in, the man behind the counter did not even take us to our room or assist us with our luggage. We had to look for the room upstairs on our own. The room it self was very small. There was simply a bed and a corner table in the room, as well as a TV on the wall with relatively few channels. There was a nasty mould in the top corner of the room. They didn't have any cups, tea bags, or a kettle to boil water in. The bathroom was also rather tiny, with no dustbin and no mat on the floor to wipe your feet. We spent approximately LKR 5,000/- plus for the breakfast-included room, but it was not worth it. Breakfast in the morning was good, but the cook who was making the breakfast wore no mask. The whole stay was not pleasant and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had a great time, the view in front of the hotel is amazing too. And the turning factor for me was the staff. They were really friendly, as it was my first time there they helped me plan out my travels too. Couldn't have asked for a better staff ngl.And as you have to share rooms, i made new friends too.

Had a lovely stay. The place was so convenient to many other locations. Room was small including the bathroom but clean and neat. Hope the rooms are sound proof since we could hear people in the hallway walking by and loud TV noises. The room prices are extremely fair for the facilities they provide. Had a lovely breakfast. But the buffet needs to have bacon and other meat items rather than having eggs and sausages. But the staff was so good. The cook on Breakfast prepared my meal as requested that was available and it was good. The check in procedures was easy but no one accompanied us in to our room where we had to find it by ourself. Overall the experience was great 👍 and we liked it.

The hostel has potential but the staff are unhelpful and unfriendly. Given no information when checking in, just a room key. Had to go back to reception to grab bedsheet because our bed wasn’t made. Me and my girlfriend paid for two beds but shared one and we were told, quite aggressively, that we weren’t allowedThey never told us when the front door was locked at night so a girl in our group couldn’t get in the hostel even though it was apparently a 24 hour reception. She rang the buzzer as well as the hostel phone and had no answer. She managed to get in when the cleaner opened the door in the morning and the guy on reception was passed out and when he woke up he was definitely still drunk and laughed in her face that she got locked out and kept bringing it up and laughing over the next 3 days we stayed. We should have left after day 1.

Overall experience was so good at Clock Inn. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was also responsive and helpful. Breakfast was also great. Best thing I liked about Clock Inn was its convenient location. BTW, if you are going to stay there, try the chicken biriyani from Banana leaf restaurant nearby. Thank me later

I stayed there due to a business reason. I checked in 14 of November in the evening. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean. They offered coffee and tea anytime you want. The only problem I had was their bathrooms. The bathrooms should have clean more regularly. Other things are okay. You can stay without a big issue. Thanks !!!

This is a great place with bunk beds and separate rooms and the price also affordable. The ambiance is really nice. Staff also very friendly. Since the place is in galle road it’s very convenient for everything else such transportation and foods. Overall it’s a great place

The location is convenient. The room was okay, clean and comfortable, but not the best. There was a bad smell in room and no view outside since window opens to another building. The free breakfast is a scam, no buffet and just 2-3 small options to select one. If you come late in the night, have to call them and ask to open external door since it's locked inside in the late night.

Nice place to stay over in the heart of colombo. If you are visiting colombo for work/business or just looking for a place to stay over and spend the night this is a nice place to conceder. The Room was nice and clean. The staff was very attentive and they provide kind of a continental breakfast. Tea and coffee available on a common area.

Stayed at Clock-In hotel for a recent trip and it was a solid choice for its convenient location. The rooms were clean and well-kept, making for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the overall experience. Although I did feel like the hotel was a bit pricey for what it offered, I would still recommend it for its great location and cozy rooms. If you're looking for a place to stay that's close to all the action, Clock-In is it. I also appreciated how relaxing the hotel was - perfect for getting a good night's sleep. Love to that lobby area, peaceful and calm. But breakfast is not recommended. Provided with English breakfast, with limited portion of bread, butter and no any proteins other than omelette.

This was my first visit to the Clock Inn Colombo. The room was comfortable and clean. The room price was reasonable. I have started to hear outside noises from early morning(Vehicle sounds, doors closing sounds from other rooms, clean workers tools sounds, etc.). This will be a better place for transit but no separate parking for vehicles. You have to use the road side as parking on your own risk. Overall experience was fine, but not the best on this price range.

Great and clean room. They have dorm for budgeted travelers. They serve breakfast only. Staffs are friendly and speak English. Lobby most of the time is quiet and relaxing because of less people. They do have small library for bookworms.

Stayed here for personal emergency. They have accepted my reservation without asking any advance payment. Bit small room but clean and fresh. Safe to stay. Worth for money. AC was well functioned. Friendly customer service. Breakfast also good and enough. Recommend to all.

This is go for option to stay in Colombo. This is place is like in the main area and helps us access majestic city, Marino mall and many other places just by walking. Their breakfast is not a great option here, that is the only thing that put me off about this place but the everything else is simply great.

A hotel that is perfectly situated close to the greatest eateries and all the attractions. All facilities work flawlessly, and the rooms are quite cosy and modernly decorated. Definitely a five-star experience at a very reasonable cost.

Safe place to be !! Frist time i have experience the dorm facility and it was great place to be .Great vibes I have requested a female dorm and they have given me a separate dorm and the main door key for that as well. Door were locked around 10pm and i have to rang the bell to open door and dorm area main door was locked too only key card access were allowed . Fantastic place and very safe for a female solo traveler I will definitely come back .

The hostel is huge with plenty of options to stay. The rooms are tidy. The entire staff is helpful and the vibe is amazing.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is good, near the city center, shops and restaurants. The bed was very confortable. It is clean. The UV paint in the staicase is very nice. And I appreciate very much that they stay open and provide accomodation during covid times. Suggestions for improvement, to install mosquito nets on the windows so they can stay open. It was hot in the room and I get sick when I use AC. And also plants over the facade and the roof might help reduce the temperature. It is healthier, eco-frienly and reduces the electricity bill. Overall good experience. I think that it is a good hostel to go when you are in Colombo.

Great location. You can see on map. Close to the sea which has no beach but perfect sunsets. Very quiet considering it's on a main road. Parallel to another big road full of shops hotels restaurants etc.. 200rup tuk tuk to galle face garden and mall which is amazing and new and itself just a stroll to the lighthouse in the old fort/ United nations area.maybe 10 min tuk to Fort train station or 45 min walk. McDonald's and Burger King nearby as are many food city supermarkets and restaurants including one amazing restaurant behind the hotel in the side street which joins the hotel. The Avenue restaurant is pure class but the prices are so reasonable for a world class restaurant which would not look out of place in New York, Melbourne or London. Look it up and treat yourself. Ok the hotel. Check the price on bookings.com first then if it's not a busy time of year you can probably walk in like me and haggle a better price at the counter. If you need to guarantee a room just pre book online. Still very reasonable prices. Breakfast included was basic but very filling and made the hotel a bargain. I had endless tea/coffee (serve yourself all day) toast butter, omelette, chicken sausages, 2 types of fruit, cooked chickpeas 'weird' but I'm vegetarian (with a penchant for chicken sausage)😆 so I loved the chickpeas and a glass of juice, and water. Water and milk and kettle available all day help yourself in the kitchen. 7-10 is breakfast. Set me up for the day exploring this amazing city. Satellite tv in the main reception common area, comfy sofa tables, chairs and cushions. Awesome wifi. I had a 4 bed dorm with large multi toilet and shower facilities. Thick towels, crisp linen,, I didn't touch the A/C but it was constantly cool. My friend took a double room to himself. Large bed, large bathroom, not the Hilton but clean, good A/C and private obviously. If you are a couple then it certainly works out a bargain. I'm coming back to Colombo next week with friends and we'll probably stay here unless my friends want something else. I ended up staying longer than anticipated. Lockers with paddocks and keys in each dormitory room and a left luggage service if checking out late. Checkout is 12. 24hr reception. Price and location hard to beat.

I used to think it’s a really nice place. But when I lost my bag(included x-ray pics, prescription and so on)from hospital, the really wired thing happened... I just wanted to check if I had taken the bag from hospital with me to this hotel... (I already checked from the hospital) nobody helped me, but shirked responsibility.... (I totally understood their opportunity of job... ) and even worse,,, It was the most important part... after my insistence,,, the manger finally showed me the video,,, but the Camera of that day I wanted to check was broken........!!! broken........!!! broken........!!! Just of that days... what should I say... Feeling no security any more... So it seems like that the camera can’t keep your security... Your security just depended on if you’re lucky enough.

I knew it would be a wonderful place. Being a woman and travelling alone from Saudi Arabia to Colombo was making me abit anxious. I was relieved bcz staff here in Clock inn is so cooperative, friendly and humble . I am thankful to them for making my trip great.

Rooms looked nice. But the pillows are not for me. Maybe slept for an hour or less it was so U comfortable. Also we found two baby roaches in the room. But I guess you get what you pay for. Staff was very friendly. Worth it? Yes. Will I go again? Probably not

My friend and I have stayed at this hostel for 2 nights. What can I say…. It's a nice place with clean rooms and easy to access to all the major roads... Situated in Galle road, overall our experience is pleasant and satisfactory..

Perfect location. We booked a 6 person dorm room with shared washrooms. Rooms and washrooms were clean and well maintained. The WiFi was fast, air-conditioning was okay. Staff is friendly and the included breakfast was great.

Had yet another wonderful stay here. All in all, it was my third visit, and didn't disappoint. Was pleased to see they recently hired a female, a nice and refreshing greeter, who offers balance to a male dominated staff.
