Hotel is good. But Im not happy about their meal...

I visited hotel Janaki for a seminar on 29th of September 2023. There are only few parking slots in front of the hotel but they have a spacy park in front of the hotel across the road. The seminar held in the Ruby hall on 1st floor which can accommodate around 150 guests. They have a separate buffet area at the back. The food was okay. Not wow. The welcome drink was js Sunquick and was tasting horrible. The buildings look old. Need renovation. The lift we were using did not have a CCTV camera. Service is fine. But they don't go for extreme extents to serve the guests.

Good Points..👍 Friendly staff. Bar is available with bites (chicken , pork) Parking space available with 24 security. Meeting room arrangement available with full Cort. Rooms are very clean and well arranged with good space. (Bathroom also well maintained) Bad points 👎 (need to improve these) (But the fourth floor public bathrooms need more cleaning rounds ) But food is not reach above ⭐⭐⭐🌚🌚 (Rice is not not prepared well. Even the lunch menu ,fish curry I couldn't recommend for any. )

Ok friendly atmosphere. Interior is bit old. Price is over fair and food quantity also good.

We visited the hotel for our family friend's function. good ambiance with great facilities, and the buffet is also good with lots of varieties of dishes. highly recommend this place for family parties and office parties with limited participants.

I highly recommend it for women professionals and other women who need to stay alone. You feel homely safety and care. The hospitality of the staffs are much appreciated. Specially the women staffs.... I assure you will find your big sister there.

Not much better surroundings.Wided Conference room..Last time I was in laugfs lubricants staffs and All island rep meeting. Overall it's ok.

Nice three star hotel arround Colombo 5. I was attend to training for a week and great place to host event or training. The food was exceptional and servics is okay too. Cant expect more from 3 star hotel but they provide best servics.

I did NOT stay. I visited the hotel. They have a good size pool for a small hotel but it needs cleaning. Their rice and curry is NOT worth the Rs 400 - it is tasteless and poor quality. Their piece of chicken is very small and their fish is leathery.

It was the worst Nasi Goreng I ever had. Don't try this at Janaki's. but normaly there other food and costomer service is quite good.

Confortable big AC room. Reasonable prize in middle of colombo. Excellent friendly service.

The receptionist is very helpful and speaks very good English. The restaurant owner Mano went out of her way to make sure we had everything. She kept cold king coconuts for us, they were very refreshing after being out in the hot weather. The owner of the hotel is trying really hard to make sure the hotel is up to the standards.

I was there for 5 days workshop. From Pettah, you can reach the hotel within 30 minutes. Overall rooms are okay, but I'm not a fan of food here.

Went for a workshop on october 23, the place is not bad for a limited budget conference, seating, table arrangements are ok, coffee and snaks was good, limited variety of dishes on the buffet but tastes fine. Overall an outdated hotel still serves with basic facilities.

Good location and nice staff, but the rooms are subpar with leaking ceiling, ants, stained old chairs and sheets and a musty carpet smell. It is obvious the building is old and in need of serious renovations.

Participated to a conference, the hall is ok, But wash rooms are dirty and not up to standard. not clean and broken

Overall good. However need acess to rooms more plasent. Rooms can do with an upgrade. Rooms are not sound proof.

Waited over 10minutes to taste the worst ice coffee in Sri Lanka. Instead of using milkmaid or fresh milk they used powdered milk to make the most expensive tastless ice coffee ever.

This hotel was a great hotel at the time. but it's services and maintaining is very bad now.

Well situated in a residential area. Hotel entrance was a bit gloomy but staff were welcoming from the moment of arrival.

The quality of the food they have was a hit. Their staff treated us like animals. Their guard made fun of our bodies.

We are order in pickme our lunch in janki hotel.. we are order mix rice but no any meat.. not good tasty.. I'm not recommend this hotel..

worst food ever. didn't meet even the average quality. I ordered for Pick me food a mixed rice and Chicken Kotthu. But rice was made with normal samba rice and with only small chicken pieces. Koththu was also the same. not recommended. not worth for the money. Please improve the quality.

A hotel with average quality. The buffet lunches were good actually. They had quite a few dessert options available. But bathrooms should have been cleaner. Found the basins, paper dispensers and flashes not working properly.

This is a city hotel which is situated in a low traffic area. Actually this is an old hotel in Colombo and well planned. Rooms are spacious and clean. Restaurant is spacious and food is quite okay. Really a calm environment inside the hotel and looks like renovated recently. But the front office staff is not so friendly!! They don't even greet when visitor enters the hotel. It has to be developed. Because customer care is the most important thing in hotel industry. The same experience in the restaurant as well. But overall picture of the facilities in the hotel is okay.

Perfect place for Official Training sessions. Such as Boot camps, Seminars, etc.

I visited to Hotel Janahi to have some Wine Dishes are tasty and reasonable price

I have stayed at the hotel for 2 days, during a workshop. The food was really above expectation. Reminded me of the taste of moms cooking. The stay was superb. I missed the opportunity to personally thank the chef. Thank you!

I was shocked when I saw the room, I expected more cleanliness and a nicer room for 16000 RS. (2 Days) The bathroom was dirty and smelled like urine. Definitely don't go there!!

It's old and run down. But I think you get your money's worth. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. Plenty of space within the room. I couldn't help but think about how this establishment might have been during the 1970s. Furniture is old however the staff are very friendly.

Very affordable, super friendly staff, restaurant is great when serving Buffet, rooms are clean. Lovely conference rooms. Times are tough in Sri Lanka and the hotel does a great job considering👍🏼

Absolutely ineffective and inefficient parking assistance by assinged suited staff of the hotel. Complete ignorant behaviour when visitors are exposed to difficulties because of their work.

: 1. WIFI doesn't work 2. fridge doesn't work 3. Air-conditioner doesn't swing and does not keep the room cool 4. Electrical plugs doesn't work 5. Uncleaned Washroom 6. Unwashed bed sheets 7. dirty floor with dead insects and spider webs 8. Dirty pool (muddy) 9. Manager does not care complains 10. Staff always tries to bully you and manager helps them without taking the complains 11. Room services don't come to clean rooms 12. Location is not as shown 13. Overflow of Pool water comes to the restaurant chairs 14. Construction noise always present 15. water pressure is low 16. Drinks are terrible 17. Very costly comparing to the other hotels

It's a okay place.. It's clean following Covid 19 guidelines. Food is okay. There is a room to improve. can't say it's bad it's just OK

We stayed four days last month in Hotel Janaki. Rooms are good but some doors of the wall unit are broken. Needs to be repaired. Location is good, very close to the city of Colombo and other shopping malls. Breakfast is very poor. No dessert for breakfast at all. They don't give atleast a banana for the breakfast. Quality of the breakfast should be improved.

Quality and the taste of the food is at the lowest level.. not recommended at all.
