The place looks shady from the street but once you walk in, it's a complete and pleasant surprise. Looks great inside with a common area for eating, reading, or using the provided computer. Staff was pretty helpful, you're given a handy map of the surrounding area with places of interest. The rooms are very clean with the occasional bugs since all of Sri Lanka decided to never have fully sealed bathroom windows... They don't have any kettles for hot water in the rooms which was annoying, but still, I really liked this place and highly recommend it if you're staying in the area.

I stayed here 4 years ago when Drift BnB first open and I loved it so much I made a point to return. I’ve stayed in both the private rooms as well as dorm rooms and both are great. The dorm room beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. The communal shower area is nice and usually clean. I definitely recommend Drift BnB if you’re in Colombo.

Our stay at Drift BnB was one of our highlights during our week long trip to Sri Lanka. The check in was smooth, and the room that was assigned to us was big and spotless. What really struck us was how well equipped our room was. We also appreciated how there was no use of any disposable plastic around the room. The water bottle provided to the room was glass and we could refill this anytime from water cooler that was located on the foyer. As someone who lives on cold water, this was hugely appreciated! The foyer had space to sit, read, & unwind. Our stay at Drift BnB was fantastic and we cannot wait to be back.

Clean rooms and friendly staff - especially the lady and the guy who manage the reception desk. The location is on Galle road, just 5-10 min three wheeler taxi ride (tuk tuk) from here to Galle face green and the city centre. This is a BnB aimed at younger travellers so don't expect any 4 or 5 star facilities. Breakfast is okay although takes quite some time to be prepared. They do not have an elevator but have a luggage lift mechanism. Overall a quite good place for a night or two.

Although this place had no lift but they had a luggage lift. The rooms were spacious. Kitchen was downstairs for anybody to use and can use their fridge too bcoz rooms don't have a kitchenette or fridge which makes sense dony want bugs or ants in your room. TV available. Nice omelette

This was a lovely hotel that had a unique and special surprise upon walking in. While there is no elevator for people (sorry you’ll have to walk the stairs folks) there was an elevator for your luggage. This helped out so much, not only for me, but for the hotel staff. Check-in was quick and even though I arrived incredibly early I only had to wait about 15 minutes in the lounge area for my room to be finished being made ready. Staff were very polite and helpful in suggesting restaurants and times in which to leave the hotel to make the train. My room was large with a very comfortable bed, a desk, little sitting area by the window, and a good size bathroom with a waterfall shower head. WIFI was good and breakfast is available (sometimes included). Also to note there are shared bunk-rooms available as well. Location is within 5-10 minute walk of many great restaurants and a great ice cream parlor.

Stayed at this place while in and out of Colombo. Don't mind the cute luggage lift while entering the space. You will be needed to walk up two floors while the luggage goes up in luggage trolley. The front desk personnel are very warm and welcoming. There's not much to do in the property. It's like a building converted to BnB. Absolutely chic, clean and lovely blues music. Do try their smoothie bowl for breakfast - you will fall in love with this place immediately. Note - there are no other activities to do at the BnB, it's quite classic in that sense. Centrally located, loads of places around to explore..

Drift BnB is a good affordable and beautiful stay at a walking distance from Colombo beach. It's a easy to locate building with good parking space on one of the main business streets. Plenty of public transport options will always be available. Rooms are very spacious, clean and well maintained with a nice touch of plants. Room service is good. Not many food options in the pantry or flexibility in terms of timings, if you miss breakfast timings, then no breakfast! However, the host will suggest you good restaurants nearby at a walking distance. The host also hands you over a awesome map of all the things to do in Colombo - you can just hire a rickshaw and get going. Overall, I would recommend this place more for a backpacking style minimalist tourist, do not expect luxury.

My sister and I stayed at Drift B &B last December and we really liked and satisfied with the place. The location is very convenient and you get easy access to every place in Colombo. There are many places to eat around and it is easy to get a taxi when you just step out to the Galled road. The place is safe, decent , clean and comfortable. We booked a deluxe double room and it was spacious enough for two. The beds were clean and comfortable. Also, the air conditioner and the shower worked well and we always got clean towels etc. I specially need to mention about the staff because they were very attentive and friendly. We also left our suitcases for a couple of days while we were out of town and they took good care of them. And, you could talk to the staff anytime and get anything done without complications. They were honest and always willing to help their guests which I was really grateful for. Everything was perfect there and we will go back again. I would like to make a small complaint about one thing. It would be great if they could provide a mini bar in every room. I think it is very important in a country like Sri Lanka with high himidity as you are supposed to drink a lot all day long. I wish you guys good luck and hope to see you this December. Cheers!!!!

Excellent facility! Very clean and attractively furnished. Excellent breakfast. Location is superb: a short walk to the beaches and Galle Road will lead one to anywhere in Colombo fairly fast. The staff provides a very helpful map of the local area with very useful (and realistic) reviews of restaurants within walking distance. I loved my stay here and definitely look forward to the next time!
