They advertise the room on airbnb as "entire place" but the place was a common area and the family use the sofa area as they please, use it for work meetings and social events frequently. The kitchen was where the maid cooked and it was left messy all the time. It was full with cockroaches. The bedroom was damp and smelly. Rain came through the bathroom from above when it rains. The sheets were changed once in four weeks and had stains, the pillows brown and stinky from years of dirt. The towels were clearly hand me downs with holes and blood stains. The floor of the bedroom had clumps of hair from previous guests everywhere. We both got bites from bedbugs. The family are super rich with expensive cars outside but can't afford to invest even a little in this place.

Love the location, plenty of parking, very airy and nice. In the heart of Colombo but still quiet and secluded. Love the layout and it's really quite easy to book it for a function/event. The staff who run it are very accommodating and quite easy going. The only thing is, because there's no signage or indication of where it is, people who aren't familiar with the area may have a hard time finding it. But of course once you do find it, when you meet the staff and see the place, you will definitely be glad to be there.

Amazing house in the heart of colombo. Wanted to stay for a few days at Colpetty House and it end’s up for 2 weeks! The location is fabulous, right in the city center, 10 mn from every touristic places, good restaurants and shopping centers but at the same time Colpetty House was so quiet, and It’s so green in this area that i did not even feel i was in the SL biggest city. I booked the room on the ground floor with my own terrasse and an open living room & lounge with this big sofa to chill out, i was feeling totally home! And on the top of that Anush and her beautiful family are such Lovely Caring and kind peoples, always smiling and giving you goods tips but at the time not intrusive and respectIng your space. Just thank you for making my stay in colombo unforgettable 🙏🏻

It was good to connect with Anu, our hostess, after a tiring journey. She is warm, friendly, welcoming. Rooms are comfortable, food good. Special thanks to Pushpa who checked in every now and then to ensure I was feeling okay as I was unwell during my stay there.

Spent 2 months in Collette House! It's a great place! The hosts are so nice and welcoming! Showed me around and were always there for me! The place is clean and neat! The manager and the cleaning stuff are always there for you! The location is good as well. 5 stars from me! Truly recommend it! ;)

It was a delight to stay at the Colpetty House in Colombo. It is a beautiful place, with spacious rooms and very generous hosts. Although located in the prime of the city, the property is nestled in a peaceful corner. All the major landmarks of Colombo are very near and the Galle Face and Galle Road are walkable distance. The mornings​are a time to look forward to because of the fantastic spread of breakfast offering delightful Sri Lankan food. Highly recommended place of stay.

Room was fine and clean enough. Ac was actually too strong and couldn't be lowered. Breakfast was very simple. On a quiet street which is nice. The people there are friendly

Attended an open Mic session here. Was a nice place to relax and appreciate some local talent.
