My favorite Hostel in Sri Lanka! The location is great if you just arrived in Colombo and want to stay a couple of nights or lay over as it is right in the city centre. Transport to the airport is also not a problem because the bus stop is only 2 km away and a taxi only takes around 40 minutes.The place is also really nice. Strong Wifi Connection (which isn't the standard at many hostels), cool rooms, spacious locker space for your personal belongings and it's overall very clean and tidy. But what makes the place for me is Charu. He is the nicest guy ever, kind, caring and you can have really good conversations with him. He really cares that you have the best experience and can arrange anything you need and also gives you good tips about the area. So if you're in Colombo, do yourself a favor and check out this hostel.

Apart from the hostel being really good in every regard, Vijay was too kind and attentive. Really making sure I was always having the best time. I loved talking to you and getting to know you Vijay, I feel like I left with a new friend :) I have visited 10+ hostels during the past months and I have had the best experience here.

I am usually not one for leaving negative reviews, but people should be aware of this place and their practices. We arrived at this place around 8:20pm after landing in Colombo. There was no one at the hostel to let us in. We called every number we could find, including a piece of paper on the door that had a sign saying ‘Out for a movement’ with a telephone number listed. We were unable to get a hold of anybody. We also emailed the property multiple times without any luck. We also called the office number and could here the phone ring and ring and ring behind the locked entrance door. The good reviews led us to believe this would be a good place to stay. I even emailed with a member of the hostel the same day confirming our arrival time this evening. We were outside their entrance in the stairwell for over an hour before we decided to find another hostel. I would caution staying here and opt for a better hostel.

This hostel ist the best welcome to Sri Lanka you can imagine. Charu, the host, organized a perfect drive from the airport to the hostel where I was advised which SIM card to buy and could get some cash. He helped me so much with planning my itinerary and even after leaving Colombo we stayed in touch and he kept assisting me! The hostel itself is really nice, too, and has a very familiar atmosphere. Additionally you can use the kitchen and there is also a fridge. I can recommend this place without any doubt.

Charu is a fun guy who went for lunch with me and joined me going to the shisha bar. He has a good sense of humor. Yet he has to learn the game of chess. Additionally I can say the the shower room is very nice - modern tile style.

This place is just a gem. The owner, but also the staff are very friendly helpful and informative. They helped me sort out a cheap cab to them before I got there and before I left the owner gave me some very helpful advices for Sri Lanka. It is perfect to crash when you land and before you leave. Also there is free water/tee/coffee and the constantly clean the hostel. The community area is nice to sit and relax!

Fantastic location, excellent service. Nothing beats this hostel in Colombo! Only thing the management can work upon is increasing the number of toilets, which are merely three. Just three toilets for 12 beds is fairly low in number!

I had a really good stay here. The hostel have all you need : hot water for coffee or tea, filtrated water as well, clean bed and shower, a common room and a well working wifi. Good location, really practical!

It's a ok budget place to stay when you're passing through Colombo. Friendly staff and everything you need is there. There's free filter water and coffee and tea. Place isn't that close to the station and there's not much around (to visit or eat). Rooms are basic (basic) dorms with 24 hour check-in, so people can come and go whenever they want (that means a lot of noise).

This hostel is located amidst the best of Sri Lankan hotels. Galle Face beach is less than 5 minutes by walk, so is the nearest bus stop opposite Galle Face Hotel by bus No. 2 from fort. Pick me or Uber would drop you at the location if one chooses Ramada Car Park as the address. The hostel itself is accessible only by stairs, no elevator. The open space welcomes you and the staff puts you at complete ease. Any information is aptly provided. The in house pantry provides bread, butter and jam along with seasonal fruit. Showers are clean and so are the toilets. Beds are comfortable enough with soft and smooth linen. With temperature in colombo always above 25 C/77 F even in the night, aircondition rooms are preferred. Good food is about 15 mins walk away in the basement of 'Crescat Boulevard' which has a standalone vegetarian counter.
