Actually it is the best place to stay in Trincomalee. We were planned to stay only 1 night. But when we stay there, we felt that it is a very pleasant place. So we stayed another night. Max, who is the chef, is a great person. He always tries to give the best food for the customers at low prices. So if you plan to visit Trincomalee... stay in Silaa cabana.

What a lovely place! Instant feelings of calmness and good vibes. The hosting family is super kind and will make you feel at home from the first seconds. And wow, the cabanas are just amazing. Never had a so well isolated little home in the nature with enough space and a great bathroom.

We visited this place suddenly and stayed there for two days. The cabana is awesome 😎 the interior is soo beautiful. There were AC rooms and We were so comfortable 😍 you can park your vehicle there too 😇

Lovely friendly owner, super helpful. I found the cabins to be comfortable and great that there was air-conditioning. Walking distance from restaurants and the beach. Good value for money too.

Silaa Cabana is a great place which offers friendly cabins with a cool scenery! An impressive tree supports the location with loads of shadow for you to relax when you return from the nearest beach. We have did watersports activities like snorkeling with blue whales amazing experience in Sri lanka Trincomalee diving center. The captain was a whales expert knowledge about weather forecasting about the ocean.

The cabins are very comfortable, and the host, Neville, is very friendly and helpful. He helped me rent a bike and arranged a tuktuk to go back to the bus. He had multiple recommendations for restaurants, which were all awesome!

Very nice place in Uppuveli. The huts are nice, but basic. The caretaker of the property is amazing, a super nice guy, funny and helping with everything. The beach is just a five minute walk away. Restaurants and the main road with supermarkets and shops are also in a walking distance. Defentely stay here when you come to Trincomalee. :)

Me and my wife spent a day here. Staffs are very friendly and flexible. He arranged us for a rental motorbike. Place is surrounded by aerial roots of banyan tree which is quite naturalistic. And the bathrooms are clean. Basically is simple and quite place to stay with your loved ones

We loved this place. Really helpful owner. Really nice stylish cabins. Really good vibes. You get a lot of value for your money. Close to the beach and all the nice places to eat and drink. Best place we stayed around Trincomalee.

Amazing place! Cabañas are very cozy and well kept with tasteful rustic decorations. The big mosquito nets cover the beds with enough space for the people inside. The bathrooms are nicely kept and have both hot and cold water. Rooms have AC and a fan. AC works great and the fan was fantastic for the nights as I don't like AC while sleeping. They also have good priced laundry (450lkr/kg) Nevil, the host, is very helpful and accommodating. He was always happy to assist with the many requests I had as I was bitten by a stray dog and needed help to get to the local hospital and potentially not been back for check out times. It's a bit more expensive than other similar places in the area but worth the money asked for what they offer. Only a couple of minutes walking distance from the beach and plenty of places to eat. I can't but recommend this place!

Super nice Cabanas close to the beach. Very nice host and it’s so peaceful and calm. We slept like baby’s :) The only thing I would optimise would be a bit more light inside 💡

We came with the plan to stay for 2-3 nights... In the end we stayed 10 nights. We loved it! We had one of the non-ac Cabanas, which was really nice, had a big fan and a huge mosquito net. Everything was super clean, as well as the whole location. We enjoyed the breakfast several times and loved the pancakes and the milk rice. Also it's close the beach and other restaurants. If we come to triconmalee again, we will definitely stay here again. Best cabana we had on Sri Lanka - we would give more stars, if we could.

What a great stay this was. Stayed in Silaa Cabana for more than two weeks. The couple (Silaa and Sagee) are the most kind and helpful hosts. The cabanas have AC, mosquito nets, some have a small fridge, bathroom with hot water, strong wifi, breakfast and coffee is served in the beautiful garden. The beach is only a 3 minute walk and restaurants are around the corner. Highly recommend! See you again.

You are close to a nice area of Uppaveli Beach (5 min walk). The cabanas are cool and give some privacy but I didn't find them very practical as there is not much space to leave your stuff around. The beds have a mosquito net which is nice. I think there wasn't hot water but we didn't need it anyway, the humid air is warm enough (especially in the cabana room). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast, though we didn't have it, looked very nice too. I recommend you visit the bar/restaurant Golden Beach which is very close and in front of the sea. It's sooo nice to get a lassi and relax there.

Best location available for your budget. Located under a big tree and you don't even feel the overwhelming heat of the area. Walking distance to shallow beach. The restaurant is temporary closed (September 2022). Owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

And the owner Neville is by far the friendliest person we've met here, always there to help around, you can ask him everything! Stayed for 3 nights, it was a good experience! For wild life lovers there's Squirrels, lots of exotic birds, lizards, and at night bats all around the cabin!

Single room wooden huts. Clean and reasonably priced. No frills. Close to good restaurants nearby and walkable distance from the beach.

Nice and quiet atmosphere. Friendly owner and close to the beach. Clean cabins, yet do realize without aircon, the wooden cabin gets pretty hot (especially in April).

We reserved a cabana on booking the day we were arriving at Uppuveli. When we got there the owner told us he had forgotten to close the calendar so had to put us in a just finished cabana that was on the neighboring patch of land behind a wall. The cabana itself was perfect but still lacking finishing touches, no trash can, place to put toilet paper roll, mirror on the floor, some unfinished surfaces, no hooks or shelves for clothing. You could tell that it's gonna be really nice though. The biggest problem for us was the area around, which had no plants, just an empty lot and the wall to look at. The wall would be going down eventually once the building is finished.As this was our last place of the trip we decided to look elsewhere. The owner was very nice and gave us some suggestions. The place will surely be amazing once it's done. 5min to the beach.

Great cabanas and service a few steps away from the beach. Nillanti is a wonderful woman and with her smile she makes you feel at home from the first moment. Neville the owner and his wife are very nice people and they are always available when needed. Cabanas are clean and the ones with a/c so comfy that we had our best sleep
