My go to spot to have a small meal is definitely Jaya Gandhi Lodge. If your a big fan of vegetarian definitely a place to check the foods out. The staff was very friendly and so nice. You could fill up your belly within a reasonable budget. Even-though it’s a busy place they give good attention to all their customers. The Thoosa was so good with all those mixes. Definitely a place to Che k out.

Authentic and tasty South Indian food can be bought here. The restaurant is located in two floors and run for almost 5 generations. Ample serving staffs available and quick service. They have A’lacarte menu for breakfast and also buffet for lunch. They serve traditional dosa / Idly / Upma / Rice items etc. The taste is authentic and can’t be missed by food lovers. The food is affordable and lot of choices. There is no parking nearby however it’s worth waiting and visiting the place with family. Enjoy the traditional south Indian in Colombo.

This is the one only place where I eat whenever I go to Wellawatta. The foods are yummy and the prices are reasonable. If you are interested in trying vegetarian food then this is recommendable...

Customer needs to be very careful at these restaurant. My bad experience is one of their staff stole my balance money 280 rupees. When i realize it, i complaint to the cashier seems to be he is the owner of the premise, he told me i need to ask the balance from his staffs without interfering on that issue. When I ask the staff he told me he keep the money as a tips for him. I told him he need to pay me the balance because I never agreed to give a tips for him. Finally he just return me 100 rupees. Balance 180 rupees were stolen by that staffs. If possible just avoid these restaurant guys..

Excellent South Indian food items. A bit on the spicy side. All foods are freshly made. Take-out counter is crowded at all times. Parking is an issue. This restaurant has been serving for decades I heard.

This place can be bit of a hit or miss. I have ordered from them several times in the recent past. They lack consistency however when they get it right it's the best tasting Indian food. Most recently ordered Poori and Masala Dosa. Masala Dosa was a tad bit burnt but it was still good. If they can be more consistent it would definitely be 5 stars.

Absolutely high quality self-service Tamil buffet, with very reasonable price. Staff is genuine and helpful. No cheating for travelers. Went there 3 times for lunch with satisfactory belly lol. Nandri!

Best and economical for South Indian foods in Wellawatta Colombo. One has many options here. Portions are also very fullfilling. Should use less polythene bags for takeout

I Had a very bad experience related to hygiene today, i order one cup tea and the tea cup was not cleaned properly also found a piece of steel wool inside the cup, very disgusting. reported to the owner with evidence.

I am a graphic designer, I was once asked by them to make a logo, I made the logo and the client was very happy with the logo too. The client was referred by a known associate so I did not feel the need to draw up paperwork and in the end they ghosted me and did not pay a single penny. I cannot even meet them in person as I live in another city, will not recommend this place.

Being a regular customer for more than 7 years, I would say one of the best affordable vegetarian restaurant with constant quality with fast moving foods around Colombo South West. Prices are affordable, they have their own delivery addition to the popular food delivery options. They will have variety of food, but will suggest to stick on with the fast moving and common food type to experience the quality. Car parking will be a problem as this is situated in a busy spot in Wellawatta. But you can always park the car in one of the lanes by.

Tasty vegetarian food for affordable (according to Sri Lanka's current situation 😂) price. If you are planning to have dinner as dine-in, I would suggest to go bit early from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM or After 8:00 PM. Problem in visiting here after 8:00 PM is you want have much of choice to select. There are many variations to try. For the first time visitors, I would suggest them to try PITTU KOTHTHU.
