Java Lounge on Jawatta Road is one of my goto places for a coffee or quick bite. They offer a wide range of sweet and savoury items as well as cold and hot coffee / non coffee beverages. Unfortunately they do not have a generator and it is a challenge to work from there if you are finding a place to work during power cuts at home. Staff i very friendly and the vibe is work friendly.

Great atmosphere good delicious foods and drinks. Friendly staff. Clean and neat. Could improve bathroom amenities. Great place to relax work spend time with friends family.

Place is kinda packed with people who work with laptops but they got enough space for everyone. Overall food experience is Good but not like cakes gonna melt in your mouth or coffee makes you feel like you are the batman. Great place to work and have a quick bite.

The setting is calm, Some foods are delicious but expensive, But I ordered fruit platter, sadly it was not enough and not different varieties of fruit even they charged around 720 only for it.

A nice place to hang out for a coffee. Friendly and attentive staff. The pipe music was good but it was way too loud as conversations had to be shouted out. It was too warm inside too. Spacious enough for a ideal evening coffee.

This is my go to coffee shop, specifically Jawatta location. Location and the vibe has been same since the beginning but I found that quality of food and cakes even coffee is dropped significantly. It is very noticeable. But overall with what I have experienced I have to give them a 4 stars.

A well organized coffee shop. You can work with your laptop and they have enough power outlets. Wifi facilities also there but bit slow. Very friendly staff and their service is excellent. They have enough parking slots. Overall food and beverages experience is very good.

Java Lounge is one of the old coffee shop in Sri Lanka. Java is well known for emphasizing on serving quality coffee all the time Really love this place. Well standard coffee shop very quite and peaceful. Moreover, the coffee smells so good. Pastries and the mocha cake are so yummy. They have plenty of other options too 😋 bon appétit 😉

Usually Java Lounge cafes are very cozy places to chill. However we had a bad experience on a recent visit to this particular place. AC wasn't enough, overly crowded and not enough staff to carry out operations. Hope it's not like this every day.

Good place to have a coffee and relax. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Highly recommend this place if you want to catch up with a friend and do your assignments in a relaxing place.

Great coffee, and a nice place to spend sometime and just unwind. The space has a conference room, three lovely areas with sofas to chill with your friends and an outdoor area. I must also mention that their range of sandwiches are top notch and worth a try. If you love spicy stuff try their 3 Chilli cheese and chicken sandwich.

Good & Friendly service. Staff seems to be well trained and definitely service with a smile. Food is good and the drinks are also good. Still I feel like the drinks can be better and they should strive to get to Costa or Starbucks level

Great ambiance and good food at a luxury price. Portion sizes are okay for the prices and they taste fine. Nothing to write home about and if you're planning to study or do some productive work I guess this place works and that's what this place is for mainy. All the main dishes are over Rs. 900 approximately and shirt eats are around Rs. 300 mark as of the time I'm writing this review (27 03 2022) Staff is super friendly and the crowd that comes here are classy so that's nice.

Standard Java lounge vibes 👍 If you haven't tried already, get the cheese croissant and they heat it up and serve, eat it while it's hot. Literally the best croissant experience in Colombo. Go during a rainy hour and sit on the outside area where it's not too wet and have a croissant, add coffee, cigarettes and company to elevate the vibes.

I have been to Java Lounge thrice and I would like to rate it a 2.5. Once we went for a quick and easy dinner where we got some sandwiches which were stale and tasted bad. The drinks weren’t good as well. The second time, I had a vanilla frap which was tasteless. Third time was a pastry and hot chocolate which was good. There have a good ambiance and people get there to spend time and get work done. There service is fast. The value for money is less. There is a huge room for improvement. Parking available for about 4 to 5 vehicles at one given time.

Actually the place I sat is very dirty. No one care the cleaning of the table. I was so disappointed. Because of the food also the same . I bought a piece of cake . That one also not good and new . So please consider the satisfaction of the customer . And also I was vomited after having their iced americano. Please be careful about your service and all are taking food by paying money. And please be kind enough to consider customer satisfaction .

One of the few places in Colombo you can get a proper coffee or experience similar to international coffee shop chain, but this is a local chain operating few outlets in Colombo. The coffee is good, pastries, cakes and desert is good too. The atmosphere both indoor and outdoor is nice and good for meetups.

Coffee was less in caramel flavor. We sat in the corner of the restaurant, close to washroom... that area has mosquitoes and ambience was bit down. Hope management will maintain the ambience and do something to avoid mosquitos. But overall food was recommended and can visit if they develop ambience.

I think the chefs have changed. The food is a joke now; Even though the atmosphere is fine. Chicken wrap for lkr600 is like the perera and sons chicken rotti that is lkr80. Presentation was poor. But tasted alright. Overall the experience is not worth for the money.

Java Lounge is one of the oldest coffee houses in Sri Lanka. We visited their jawatta outlet on a weekday. As soon we entered the outlet we were warmly welcomed. They didnt take any steps for Covid 19 protection prior to entering the premises and only a hand sanitizer was kept at the entrance. For food we tried the Chicken lasagne and pol sambol, egg and cheese in kade paan options. Both tasted average. For beverages we tried a cappuccino and Hot chocolate. They came out pretty good. The service was good and supportive. Not many tables are available, hence reserving prior to visiting is recommended. Suitable spot for work/study as wifi is available. Parking of course is an issue as only 4 to 5 parking spots are there.Overall, an average experience

A great place to catch up with someone and grab a coffee. There's a range of cakes to choose from especially if you have a sweet tooth. Personally, I would recommend the strawberry cheesecake. It's superb.

Cosy place to take a break. Sandwiches lacked taste but some other items were ok. Beverages were good. We found some staff a bit rude while others very attentive and nice. Couch spaces are large but seating around small tables aew very cramped. They have a spacious outdoor seating. Limited parking space but very helpful staff in this area.

A very calm and peaceful place to sip your beverage and have a bite while you meet up with friends or business associates. There was ample parking and the atmosphere was comfortable. But when I got to see the actual product after delivered it was a tiny bit bite. Not worth for the money at all. Please make your products to worth on what we pay. Not happy at all.

Had the Rockslide Brownie from Java Lounge last night. It was super caramel-ey and just too beautiful to eat up. The brownie itself was kinda dry, I like mine fudgey. But the brownie layers with caramel sauce in between..was overall a 10/10

The staff were really mean and did not give us privacy since the time we went there. The food was horrible and way over priced. The brownie was really hard and bad. Please give your staff better training and educate them on the customs and traditions and customs of the newer generations as Java Lounge used to be the place I visit weekly but due to the lack of discipline by the staff, I will never return to this cafe ever again.

Place is good. No fraps, disappointing, only latte and americano was available when we went. Cake was delicious 😋 would just come for the blueberry cheese cake again and again. The cashier, he swiped the card it got rejected, he literally gave the card back without even trying again. In fact the card worked 5 minutes before in a nearby place. No regrets. Worth the money.

Java Lounge surprised me. At first sight, you'd think this was a pish posh place with overly expensive items, but that's NOT the case at all. The items are very affordable (Specially these days) and there's something for everyone. Simply, Java Lounge gives you your money's worth. The food is really good and feels premium, while also being reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very chill (except for the occasional loud customers), the staff will help you with anything and the best thing is they let you stay and work there for a long time. Only issues I had was the staff forgetting my order (later they apologised) and a range of meals being mostly unavailable.

Nice cafe if you are looking for a workplace! Went there to had a working day with the laptop and the vibe and staff were really cool. Lil bit pricey and if you are ordering the chicken baguette ask whether it's kochchi (extra spicy chilly ). Because that is way too hot n spicy to handle.

Great place to have a nice conversation with wonderful coffees and delicious food items. My go to place for to taste Red Velvet cakes and I can't avoid it. Now it's like a hobby to me. Best Red Velvet cakes in the area for sure. You can spend your time in calm and refreshing environment that filled with nice fresh coffee smell. Staff service is excellent and very polite. I ordered this curry chicken pasta and it was the worst one I had in my life. It tastes very chemical and lot of turmeric. It has a vey bad smell also. Feeling very bad now with a stomachache. Even I am having a headache also now
