Great place to study and/or chill from eve to night. Great atmosphere super friendly staff and several private outdoor and indoor areas. I went here to study till night. The staff was great and provided recommendations. The place was lively but not packed. The atmosphere was great and quiet for studying. The area is separated into multiple areas. So several outdoor areas as well as indoor areas. So if u want to have a less quiet experience with friends u can go to the balcony or the outdoor areas and hangout. If u want to study u can pick one of the several indoor areas with plug points so u can study. The wifi was supposed to be there but it was down on the day. The food was great, the place was clean and the washrooms were clean and tidy.

I visited this place on 14th Feb 2024 with my husband until we wait to take kid from school. We ordered coffee latte, hot chocolate and a croissant. Croissant was tasting so nice. They provided cutlery and tissues without letting us ask for anything. Ample seating is available. People do work here while having a coffee.

Lost faith in Java Lounge a few months ago, and me trying it a couple days ago, just proved why I don't go there often anymore 😢 We went at around 11:20 pm on a Friday night and the place was packed with people. Whatever we wanted on the menu, wasn't available. So had to settle for the All Meats Sandwich and the Rockslide brownie. The portion size was quite alright and the food was tasty. But the Sandwich was so so dry :/ and so was the Brownie. And everything is so overpriced! Won't be going to Java again unless I have to

Well the customer service here is very poor. The worst out of all the other branches. Went a few times and twice they were very bad. I ordered a tandoori chicken sandwich for takeaway and had to wait 45 mins (1158 am I gave my order and when I got it it was 1245) because the guy had forgot to make it, I reminded him twice but yet again he forgot each single time. The next day I again requested for takeaway but they mistook it for dine in (not a major issue) Food is alright and drinks are alright too. Not that pricey. Spacious place with upstairs accommodation and outdoor seating as well with a small parking space. Except the incompetent staff rest is alright.

Nice place with good ambience. The best part is, feels like they already prepared our coffee, even before we arrive (i mean they are not). It used to be our go-to cafe but over our last few visits we’ve seen the quality drop and an intolerance for criticism. In a market that’s saturated as it is one would think that they would be doing everything possible to improve on their short comings but what you end up with is a company that doesn’t respond to emails (which I have definitely sent two of) and employees that are disgruntled and misrepresent the original idea of what the cafe set out to do in the first place. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere. Sad to see what’s become of this place. The attitudes at the grassroots branch management level are reflective of attitudes at upper management. To Java and it’s management I say: you had a good run, now make way for something better.

I ordered a Sri Lankan spice chai through Uber Eats. They charged me 555/- It was a cup of hot water with a tea bag and two sugar sachets. NO MILK. spice chai should be with milk. Masala tea ( Masala Chai/ Spice Chai ) Should be with milk. I am disgusted, disappointed and angry. This will be last time you guys will get any business from me.

My friends and I have been a loyal customers to java lounge Barnes place for the last 3 years. We visited this place on a weekend and ordered some beverages which included an ice coffee. The ice coffee was absolutely terrible. It was as if they mixed cold water and milk together. We complained to the staff (one with the tatoo and was wearing a cap) saying that we can’t taste any coffee in this- he replied saying for 600RS that’s what you get (sarcastic tone). Then came running another staff (short, curly haired guy) trying to explain why the ice coffee tastes the way it tasted 🤣. Anyway, I gave them both a good lesson on how the customer always comes first. @javalounge management, please hire professionals. Not some random street thugs who are full of ego and pretend as if they own the place. Highly disappointed. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Great Atmosphere to Relax, Talk and Enjoy a meal. Usually crowded on the weekends. The Chicken Lasagne was very good. Waffles was good too, whipped cream was missing on it. Parking available. Outdoor seating is also there. You get a variety in the menu.

Very poor customer service. This is a direct comparison when I visited from a month ago. I’m not sure whether it was the same staff of some other people. We always choose upper floor tables as they are more quiet. Yesterday we were told to carry our hot drinks upstairs as it is now “self service”. Last time we got a very dry chicken sandwich and an equally dry red velvet cake. I’d recommend Nawala and Jawatte road outlets over this one.

Thinking of coffee and chill of chatting with your friends or loved ones, then this is a place you can try. Never underestimate the taste of the BLUEBERRY CHEESE CAKE i always fall in love, in fact their cheese cake is the best. The atmosphere and the crowd is the perfect choice for me. Prices are quite fair compared to other cafes in colombo. Starting price of coffee's would be around Rs.500+ /= and the munching items would be from 200+ /= Really enjoyed the time at this place, night time seems to be the best timing for me.

We were served in broken mugs. The photograph shows only the bottom, but the rim was cracked too. A proper barista would know that even the colour, material and design of the serve ware affect the coffee experience. When informed about this, they asked about the outlet but did not take it seriously. Please fix these issues so that other customers will not be affected.

An usual @ the cafe for its ambience and food but the staff attitude is too aggressive… first time experiencing negative staff attitude in java….high-end cafe as such needs better hospitality… never coming to this particular lounge again… saw some people commenting about this skinny guy with weird hair and even more weird tatoo on his forearm , must be him again!…

One of my frequent places for dates, chilling or working. Generally not crowded but on some days you can't even poke a finger in here. My personal favorites from here are the mocha frappe and the chicken lasagna. Not a lot of options are available with regards to food but plenty of options for drinks. They really need to change their Playlist though, I'm quite tired of the songs.

Never ever order from Uber Eats. This is how Java Lounge has given my coffee to the driver and this is what’s left when I got the order. If you like drinking spilled coffee and half of the order you actually wanted this is the best place.

Just like the other Java lounges I used to frequent only the Jawatta & Nawala one before I came across this place. Its such a deceptive building and the interior is just amazingly cozy and lovely. Just want them to stock up on their tabasco sauce as the other locations all have it 😊 Overall as always Java lounge doesn’t disappoint and this location takes the cake for the interior. Java lounge Barnes place is a perfect place to work, meet, dine in and also this place is a good place for a date. It's getting crowded a bit in the evening but there's ample seating available indoor and outdoor.

Good calm vibe. A good place to take your laptop and get some work done. Power outlets are not there for every table/sofa but if you go early, can find a good spot with power. Food is tasty but certainly there is no value for the money you pay. But, I think that should be fine since you can work for long hours here at a spot. At times the place can be a little disturbing especially if a group comes and start a loud discussion. Other than that, everything is fine.

Was very much a pleasant experience! Quite spacious, freeing and a very good environment to get almost any work done official to personal. The coffee and the snacks were good, prices a little on the higher side but I feel it was worth it for everything they offer! Nice and friendly service! Also must give a special mentioning to one of the best caramel-chocolate brownies I’ve had from anywhere! Would recommend to anyone who wants a small peace and quiet around the hectic streets of Colombo!

This is one of my familiar places to meet friends for leisure chat and official meetups. They have wifi facilities and a calm and comfortable environment to work with laptops. I usually visit here more than two days per month. I love their hot chocolate, milkshake and cookies. The smoky chicken sandwich is always on my ordering list.

I bought a carmel mochiato there was hardly any carmel, just water and loads of ice and it was more than 500rs...

Good caramel macchiato, okay cappuccino, good full English breakfast, so-so tuna salad sandwich (due to the too soft bread), polite but slow service. Nice design but in desperate need of renovation: the comfy chairs are all stained, the carpet needs changing, the tables are worse for wear. If fully renovated this will once again be a nice spot.
