Nice place, great service and loved the food. Different options for different price points on the menu. We ordered the gochujang mac n cheese (2800), the salmon and truffle croissant (3200) and the rainbow bowl with prawn (2450) and for drinks we had iced matcha latte and dirty match latte. Taste and portion size were on point. Parking is limited

Grind a high end coffee shop popular among both tourists and locals. It is situated within the access towers in the heart of Colombo 2. The staff were amazingly helpful. The cafe offers an extensive menu of hot and cold quality coffee and other beverages. They also offer an array of vegan options. I personally love the food presentation here at Grind. It’s just heartbreaking to mess it with the spoon and fork sometimes 🫣. No doubt I recommend them 💯.

Probably one of the only places in Colombo that has got the concept of brunch food right. It’s not a place where you sit with a laptop but a place where you get to enjoy good food and a great cup of coffee either with friends or by yourself! The coffee was excellent and ingredients used for the the food was fresh. The bagels are to die for and I’m definitely a repeat customer. The owners definitely take a keen interest in the quality and it shows. From the ambience to the food, this place is not to be missed. Do try it out!

New Grind Cafe is an absolute gem! It exudes the vibe of a trendy New York cafe. My daughter couldn't resist the banana bread, and she devoured it. As a coffee aficionado, I was blown away by the quality of their Colombian and Costa Rican V60 pour-overs. They were undeniably the best I've had in Sri Lanka, and the attention to detail in brewing was remarkable. The piccolo was another delightful surprise, bursting with flavor in every sip. The cafe's ambiance complements the experience perfectly, offering an inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, which added to the overall satisfaction. If you're in search of a cafe that delivers exceptional coffee and a New York cafe ambiance in Sri Lanka, New Grind Cafe is the place to be. Small space but beautifully arranged super cleaned Instagram friendly cafe. Bit expensive in-terms of prices. If you look for a delicious but a completely healthy food, this is the place for you. Very professional and friendly staff. Plate was nicely presented. Recommended for health conscious but not price concerned people.

Fancy looking coffee spot down Union Place. The ambiance is good but we went during quarantine days and safety measures were not taken before entering the outlet which they might need to improve on. Not a big food variety to choose from but the food we tried tasted good. First, we ordered the famous Nai miris wings with blue cheese dip which tasted good with right amount of spiciness. Thereafter, we ordered the Berry cream cheese French toast and Slow cooked pulled chicken toasted sourdough bread. They tasted yum! Portions were also enough for us. For beverages, we tried their Milo Cold and Yellow Drink which is a combination of pineapple + lemongrass + king coconut which surprisingly tasted good!. Felt the pricing were bit high compared to other cafe outlets around Colombo. Good spot to work + study. Better if you can reserve before going as only few tables available. A big parking facility is available right inside the road next to the cafe and it was very convinient. Finally the service was pretty good with a friendly and supportive staff. Overall a good experience!

This was our favorite breakfast spot in Colombo! Their breads are just awesome! You can choose between things like Avocado, Pulled Beef, Salmon or simply build your own one! They also have delicious juices with beetroot, lemongrass and coconut water for example. The coffee was great too! The owner is a very nice lady! When their wasn’t working for some reason she gave us two energy balls for free👍 The only disadvantage here is that they have no free WiFi in case you need it!

It's lovely place in Colombo. I have been visiting them since they were on Union Place st. The new location is really better. They have big bright area and modern design. And also the best thing - they save menu so I can always enjoy delicious and healthy food. Thank you Grind team❤️

Wow! One of the most amazing cafes we've ever been to. From coffee to food everything's perfect and the plates really look like art in terms of foodstyling.

A lovely coffee house, that might not be the typical Sri Lanka experience but a great place to replenish vitamins and stock up on fiber for the foreigner (like me) who's been travelling in India and Sri Lanka for the past 10 days indulging in local cuisine. They offer lovely food, great coffee with alternative milk options and smoothies. This coffee and brunch place is an excellent start to your day of exploration in Colombo.

This is one of my favorite cafes in Colombo. Staffs are nice and the atmosphere is also great. The quality of coffee is also high level. They can serve some coffee by a hand drip:) Food is also awesome. Not only the taste but also the decoration and presentation is great:) Only one thing, if there were free wifi, it would be the best of the best cafes ever. Still, it’s actually awesome.

The grind, the coffee shop that newly opened in Union place a week ago. I was part of this experience that week 🤠 ⠀ This time they came up with a simple but yummy collection. Savory and sweet brunch, lunch and sides for foods. Coffee and cold pressed juices for drinks 🙂 ⠀ If i talk about the place, The grind comes with their unique theme and open kitchen experience. The “girl boss”, she was so friendly and helped us with choosing our dining ☺ For all you foodies out there don’t miss this place. You should definitely add this to your food diary 📔

This place is serves really tasty and high quality brunch-style food and coffee (western style)❤️ I had a cappuccino with the coffee they had from Columbia and it was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had- I came back to have it again the next day. I wish I could drink that coffee every day, it was perfection ❤️

Food was so great, loved the atmosphere. Milo mocha is a must ..we tried the slow cooked pulled beef and chicken on toasted sourdough bread. It was amazing. They also have a variety of organic food. I would recommend this to anyone and will go back.

Been to this coffee house on multiple occasions and let me tell you, it is the best coffee I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Their cappuccino is highly recommended. I loooooove the overall vibe of the place, so chill and calming. They serve good food and even better coffee!! This is a hidden gem of a cafe. Great for peaceful hangouts and their prices are reasonable in comparison to cafes of similar caliber. Love the overall experience every time! ❤️

Visited the newly opened space and it was simply stunning. The interior was modern, minimal and calming and the coffees were spot on. They have a limited food menu while they work on their full menu but the sandwiches we tried was fresh and delicious. Excited to try the full menu! They also have 5 convenient parking spots next to the cafe and unlimited parking on the 8th floor! Recommend 10/10 to any coffee or food enthusiasts!

I order food from The Grind on Uber eats frequently and have been into the cafe a few times as well. I LOVE the bowls! It can be difficult to find healthy, filling, delicious food around Colombo, but this totally fits the bill. The spiced chicken bowl and the rainbow bowl are great. On the not-as-healthy side, the peanut soba noodles are amazing. Highly recommend!

Nice little cosy place. Coffee was good. Ordered the avocado sourdough with poached eggs. Everything was great except the sourdough slice was really hard at the edges.

Although a lot of people have given them great reviews, I wasn't too blown away. We ordered the pulled beef sourdough and a sausage bagel. It took AGES to be served and wasn't freshly hot and a bit stale. The Milo coffee was good.

Prob my favourite bowl in Colombo - no excessive flavouring, just natural ingredients combined to their best. Almond Coffee was average, would not recommend. Try the normal one perhaps

I ordered a cup of cafe macchiato and what I ended up getting was a shot of espresso with a bit of froth on top. What I received should not be call a macchiato. It's espresso with forth.
