This outlet was there for a long time. Small outlet, full with many flavors. Right portion size and price little high, compared to the similar places in town. Service is not that good. Premises inside the Odel facility and shared parking available.

Located within the premises of Odel. They serves the best Italian gelato ice cream in Colombo with a range of mouth watering flavors. Recently they also have introduced a couple of new additions. Staff extends a friendly service and the ambiance is quite compact as the outlet is smaller with limited seating facilities. Prices seems moderate and its absolutely worth the spend.

This place offers creamy and delicious Italian style gelato ice cream and there's a good range to choose from with intense flavors. Make sure to taste before making any commitments cause some can be overly sweet for your taste, specially the berries and fruity ones. You can try two flavors in one cup.

Ice cream flavours are really good and tasty. However the prices are not reasonable. You could eat a tub of 1 or 2 litre ice cream bought from a supermarket, for the price you pay for a scoop or 2 of gelato here. And also the quantity they offer for 1 scoop is actually more than the quantity they offer when we ask for 2 or 3 scoops. The more scoops you order, the smaller the size of a scoop gets and the higher the price goes.

I visited this place in last sunday. The Ice cream flavours are really good and tasty. I tried their large cup which you can select 04 flavours. It cost rs. 880 since its Black Friday. I choosed milo, chocoreo, passion and some blue color one. I can’t remember the flavor. I liked the taste of the chocoreo and passion others were not that good. And when we compare the prices the prices are not reasonable.

However, I was disappointed to find that the menu had limited options compared to other branches of "il gelato." Despite this, the strawberry sorbet was delicious, and my wife enjoyed her chocolate gelato. Overall, "il gelato" is a decent place to satisfy your gelato cravings, but if you're looking for a wider range of flavors, you might want to check out their other branches.

Just tasted a rum n raisin ice cream. It was the worst ever I had in Sri lanka but not the first gelato experience. I feel its quite old n expired stuff out there. So think twice before buying at odel ward place. I simply left the Ice-cream at the table n left. Who ever manages this place, please look into this for gelato sake.

I had the dark chocolate on a waffle cone. So delicious and had the perfect balance between the sweetness of the gelato and the bitterness of the rich dark chocolate.

Good ice cream but watch out as they up sell you without you knowing. One scoop is only in a cup. Cone is two or three scoops only. Illy iced cream coffee is listed on the menu as 50g for 200 rs. They only have one size cup, you tell them to fill to the top and it will be 600 rs. Pricing is not exactly made clear.

The customer service was quite bad. The lady who served was very rude and the ice cream in the cone started dripping from the bottom, 10 seconds after serving it to me. When I requested for another cone to put it under the cone given, she declined the request. Then I asked for a cup because the ice cream was coming off from the bottom which she gave. It was such a hassle. Highly disappointed with what happened and the unpleasant experience.

The best Italian-style gelato ice cream I've tried in Colombo with intense flavours. Their ice creams are dense and with a milky texture, like proper Italian ice creams, and feel much less heavy and fatty than the usual fat-heavy elephant house or Sri Lankan ice cream which uses more of a cream base. Also Il Gelato ice creams have a perfect soft consistency. Love it! Keep it up on the quality guys!
