Nice museum

Awesome. This is the one of Amazin place in Sri Lanka to buy lots of Sri Lankan Handicrafts products all in the one place. There are many atractive wood carvings, Handlooms, brasess, Jewellies, Made by original Leather products, Gems, key tags, Spices, Ceylon Tea, Stationeries, Jewelry boxes, statues, wallpapers etc...I think all the products are in high quality and reasonable prices. credit cards and debit cards and cash are accepted as payments methods. HNB ATM and Wheelchair accessible entrance and big vehicles parking yard facilities are available. But the BAD news is one of person told me don't take photos of products and inside. He doesn't know we are publishing the products photos free and promotes thier business opportunities around the world. #letsguide #handicrafts

Good Souvenirs

A treasure trove of Sri Lankan souvenirs, curios and furniture. Highly recommend.

The museum gift shop for the National Museum carries a nice range of souvenirs from little woiden elephants to gemstones. Most things are reasonably priced and there is also a good coffee shop where you can have a good coffee (or tea) and cake.

I went from the National Museum, but it was closed, there were no staff just sitting in front and no guidance, so those who go should be careful whether it is open or not.
