This is one of the few Lakarcade outlets in Colombo, this place is located just two doors away from Hilton Residences. It has a varieties of souvenir, traditional handicraft, tea and gem stones jewellery. For tourist and visitors, this place is very convenient for last minute shopping for gift ans souvenir for friends or self as it closes at 10pm. Price wise, it is quite reasonable.

I had an amazing experience with Lakarcade's gem and jewelry department. They designed a custom 2-carat padparadscha sapphire ring for me with diamonds set in rose gold and it's stunning. They were so helpful and professional throughout the process and they offered reasonable pricing that worked within my budget. They even presented the finished ring in a beautiful wooden and brass box that is an artistic piece in and of itself. Highly recommend!

Lakarcade has a lot of souvenirs and handcrafts. They have lovely Hindu and Buddhist statues carved out of wood and stone. There are a lot of batik clothes as well. Great staff and atmosphere.

This is a place where you find Srilankan arts and crafts. Have various types of crafts like painting, wodden and in stones. Also you find souvenir to carry back from the trip to Srilanka. Experience at the store was not upto expectations. While the crafts are ample and senior staff members help was good and soothing, leather items pit on sale were found somewhat bizzare. A leather travel bag torn from the inside was put for sale, informed the store owner about this he just said no bag is torn. Selected another leather bag but was dusty, showed it to owner. Owner says that is due to AC in shop and he would get it cleaned if I was going to buy it. Insisted to see clean version of it - he kept on saying would get it cleaned only if we make a purchase. Laughed off on this guys attitude. Looks like the shop is inherited by the younger generation due to hard work done by senior family members of previous generations. A put off experience at an unexpected place.

Just a short visit lasted for over two hours of browsing and adding more to the shopping list. The best shopping experience for any local or tourist in pursuit of traditional and non traditional Sri Lankan arts and craft. Huge space creates a non cloister phobic environment. Starting from the security personnel who are helpful in finding a parking spot, the staff are accommodating, friendly and helpful. Never over pushy as many curious shops in the City heavily focused on commissions. The staff depict traditional Sri Lankan warmth and hospitality matching the concept set in a typical local atmosphere. We were tired and refreshed ourselves at the Barista within the building. Hope they serve more traditional treats that is Sri Lankan. LakArcade caters to an ever increasing market of Novelty Gift and souvenir category that is a need for any developing country seeking enhanced tourist arrivals.

A very large store with sooo many options and the quality of their items are amazing! 😊 The owner of the store is very lovely and the employees are super helpful and recommended some great products. We are from Australia and we found some amazing souvenirs to take back to our family and friends. We will definitely be visiting again!

Lakarcade is the place to go to for souvenirs, handcrafts and batik clothes that are made in Sri Lanka. They have a beautiful collection of gem stones of various sizes. The prices of the gem stones are reasonable. Very respectful, accommodating and friendly staff. I had a great experience with the gem and jewellery department. A special thanks to Ameshka who went beyond to meet my request for a custom made white sapphire pendant. He also ensured that I got my pendant within 2 days. He was so helpful and professional. Lakarcade is highly recommended not just for souvenirs and handcrafts but also for gems and jewellery.

Very lovely souvenir shop. Everyone was so kind and helpful. They have nearly everything you could ask for and prices are fair. We were in there so long they offered us a cup of tea.

A wonderful place to visit and collect Sri lankan authentic, high quality handicrafts, organic tea and spices as well as gems and jewellery for decent prices.I think this is the biggest Sri lankan souvenir collection.Specialty of this place is, they are selling the goods taken from low income generating families and supporting to uplift craftsmans' economy. Very interesting find in the heart of Colombo and probably the largest of it's kind in the city - comparable with Laksala at Thunmulla. However Lakarcade seems to stock more contemporary and novel pieces than Laksala. It's hard to imagine that a visitor to SL will go empty handed from this place. A good option to buy local faux-antique and heritage pieces for home decor in Colombo for locals as well Price is a 15-30% premium if you buy directly from the artisans but definitely not a rip-off. You maybe able to negotiate a discount for larger value pieces

We were down to our last 24 hours in Sri Lanka and hadn’t found our desired souvenir ‘Isurumuniya Lovers’. We wanted something smallish and not bulky. We stopped at LakArcade at Galle Face One and asked Dilshan (Asst Mgr) and Karthi (Mgr) for help and they went right to it - looking through their shelves and tables for anything. It seemed like this item would remain elusive until Dilshan approached us and said, we only have this… OMG! We were happy beyond words. It was perfect. Both were so patient and professional with us. We loved it so much that we bought the matching Sigiriya Rock item as well! Thank you Dilshan and Karthi for helping us bring our vacation to an awesome end!
