One
star
despite
so
many
goods.
I
am
a
solo
traveller
but
always
book
a
double
room
for
the
reasons
of
space
and
comfort.
I
booked
a
double
deluxe
room
and
upon
checking
in,
I
found
it
right
upto
my
expectations.
The
room
was
large
and
spacious
with
an
equally
large
bathroom.
The
bed
was
very
comfortable.
The
room
was
good
enough
for
two
people.
Ambience
and
the
feel
of
the
room
was
very
nice
and
appealing.
In
fact,
one
of
the
best
rooms
I
stayed
in
during
my
nearly
two
week
sojourn
in
Srilanka.
It
could
have
easily
bagged
five
stars.
But,
The
ants
took
away
four
of
the
stars
leaving
the
room
with
just
one.
Here's
the
story:
I
had
bought
some
snacks
including
one
sandwich
for
the
afternoon
tea
and
kept
it
on
the
table
alongside
the
electric
kettle.
When
I
got
up
after
about
two
hours
I
found
the
table
full
of
ants
with
thousands
of
them
relishing
the
sandwich.
Hotel
staff
were
informed
and
they
cleaned
the
place
and
sprayed
some
insecticide.
However,
the
problem
was
not
confined
to
one
place.
Even
in
the
bathroom
ants
were
crawling
on
the
washbasin
and
around
the
mirror.
Eventhough
I
took
all
possible
care,
the
table
was
infested
with
ants
in
the
morning
too.
The
management
needs
to
take
a
serious
view
of
this
ant
menace.
A
traveller
can
adjust
with
some
deficiencies
but
thinking
of
adjusting
with
insects
is
gross.
I
stayed
for
one
night
in
room
number
407.
