Coffee and a slice is also famous here. Customer service is good and friendly. Lot of promotions available here too. Place is tidy and hygienic. Parking lot available here. Also wheelchair accessible entrance available too. No wheelchair accessible parking available though.

I will be honest I missed the vibe of the Sugar Bistro that we used to frequent at Odel … but the food here at this branch also tastes the same - filling, delicious & simple soul food !! Will always be our go to cafe in Colombo… wherever they are … as long as they can be consistent on the food quality!! Recommended: the burgers :)

Ox Benedict was really good. Slow braised tender oxtail, sits on top of a bed of rosti. Big enough for two. Great coffee too.

A excellent place for a meal. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. Had the garlic shrimps which were a good size portion, tasty and fresh. The location is excellent right next to Cinnamon grand in the Crescat mall. They have outdoor seating also. Had eaten there a few years ago and loved it. Its commendablr they have maintained a very high standard through the years.

My first visit to SUGAR BISTRO. The service & recommendations from the young waiter, Joshua was outstanding. He was polite, courteous and ever so willing to provide excellent service. The food was well prepared & had the correct pungency & delicious. Compliments to the chef.Even the manager,Mr Beed was helpful in providing general information. Great little bistro in the heart of Colombo. Both food and the place are nice. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff is friendly and the service is great too. We had the Ocean Burger, which is a seafood burger and another one called Italian Job which is basically crumb fried chicken breast with some chips and salad for sides. Both were well cooked and delicious. Loved the sweet potato fries that you get with burger. They had a good selection of drinks and we tried their signature cocktails vintage sangria and Ceylon gimlet. It’s a little pricy but worth it if you wanna treat yourself. Would cost around 4-5k per person.

Food could be 5 stars. I don't really know because I cannot really test the after affect of food while I travel. The seafood pasta I had was very tasty when I visited the bistro in March 2019. Nice place to relax at while visiting the mall.

Good food, excellent service, but i was surprised to see all prices are before taxes and don't include service. Other than that it was a good experience. English breakfast is worth it - and it comes with onion bhaji instead of mushrooms which is a nice touch - and so are the Eggs Benedict. The Mango and Pineapple fresh juices are excellent. Good coffee as well. We were also served with complementary fruits whilst waiting for our order. Would definitely return to the place!

They make a good vegetarian burger

Had a caramel latte, green tea and brownie with ice cream. The caramel latte was bit too sweet but it was tasty. The green tea pot had a dead mosquito inside it and when we point that out to the serving staff member he casually changed the cup and asked us to have the same pot of tea. When we point out that the dead mosquito came from the pot he replaced it with a new one however didn't even bothered to apologize for that. Brownie was good and the atmosphere was nice. The serving staff need to be bit more polite and trained.

Alright so pretty much went on a lunch date which so the setting was pretty cozy. The service was great however the milkshakes were questionable. Too runny and not consistent with what a milkshake should taste like. Food overall was okay. The dumplings as well we're too chewy. The dumpling shell (even tho mentioned pan fried) wasn't entire the case. Besides that all in all was a decent experience.

Food is great, portions are good, the ambiance is super. The staff is helpful, need to e a bit more attentive though. Low key pricey, but hella worth it! Had a great lunch, would be super for dinner!

Come here for the vibe! its a very peaceful place that serves a suprisingly varied selection and the food was always top quality. Bit on the pricey side but considering the overall experience its worth it. Has been my go-to breakfast/brunch place and if you're feeling adventurous give their Ox Benedict a go!

The worst crab kottu I have ever ordered . It was black In colour and the potion was not even 1/4th of the box. The restaurant refunded the money after I complained and returned the untouched order . Never again will I place any orders from Sugar bistro !!!

I visited the Sugar Bistro at ODEL. The Food was good but pricey. Friendly staff. Loved the experience there. 03/09/2019 - changing the rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. Visited their Crescat Boulevard restaurant. The ambience was lovely with total privacy. Can Enjoy gushing sea breeze if seated outside. Food was really lovely & friendly, attentive & helpful staff members.

First of all Nice ambiance and Delicious foods, But the thing Is we ordered cocktail on there signature category, but also the The happy hour is started before ordered time, but waiter didn't mention that on first hand, after the another waiter came in and he mentioned that they have one on one happy hour on both wines and cocktails on happy hour, we ask them to bring another one and it's the same one we ordered before. the thing is, it's can't even drink a pinch of that, very disappointed on that. All the menu items are very expensive compared to other places, not worthy for the money and had small Portions.

Sugar Bistro used to be an amazing place back in 2019 however, lately it’s not the case. For starters - The restaurant is invested with house flies - The quality of the food and the cleanliness of the place is below the standards - The restaurant manager (the bald gentlemen - couldn’t get his name) was obnoxiously loud and was very aggressive towards guests, don’t think he has the first hand experience running a restaurant. - If you are looking for a Sri Lankan petti kade vibe this is the place (sarcasm) given the loud atmosphere the restaurant manager creates - The kitchen staff was seen multiple times in the dinning area without the face mask

Tried the Fish & Chips which was very well done. Not oily, but crispy and tender on the inside. 🔥 But the best was the "Italina Job" which is basically breadcrumbed and fried chicken breast, topped with a generous amount of Mozarella, served with wedges and salad. 5/5 for that! 😍

The food was freshly prepared and tasted great. The drinks options ate also ok. The place seems to be a bit run down and in need of repairs but it still has a nice view with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Overall it was a pleasant experience here as thw service was great as staff is extremely helpful. Service is quite quick with a minimal wait time. Prices are reasonable. It was not too crowded when we went in and we could select where we wanted to be seated.

One of the more hip restaurants in colombo located at Crescat. Ambiance is welcoming and has a very unique touch to it. We visited the place for lunch and were not disappointed. For parking u can either use the Crescat parking or the Cinnamon hotel parking which u will have to pay a fee for. On food we tried the fettuccine prawn and tomato pasta and a Javanese sea food fried rice of which both were tasty and full of flavor. The churros which we got for desert was yum! You need to eat it while it’s hot and dip it in the sauce they provide. The cookie and cream milkshake was nicely made. We also got a coke which came with a orange piece in it which seems to be the trend in most places now and it was good. The service was good and the staff was very supportive and friendly. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely revisit. Only comment is may be make an upgrade to the menu as this doesn’t seem to have changed over time.

This is one of the best places with best service. Servers are always very friendly and helpful. Food is not bad and the prices are also ok. Roast pumpkin soup is my favorite here.

I've been going there occasionally for about 3 years now, and although the service is sometimes slow on a busy day, the food is delicious, varying, and a must-have if you often go to Crescat. I'd recommend the chicken with mushroom, mustard and potatoes, as well as some of the delicious desserts they have such as churros, tiramisu, and cake of the day.

In a great location with lovely outdoor seating along with a well designed interior with nicer, darker colours and some flora as nice little touches. There is a good selection of alcohol on offer as well. My group went for the burgers and hummus. The hummus was very tasty. The burgers were tasty too, particularly the crab burger which has the perfect burger patty. All that was missing to make this a 5 star is that the sauces aren't well matched for the burgers, they're okay, but not great. In Sri Lanka as a tourist I'd expect more spicy burger sauces rather than cocktail sauces, aoli and ketchup. Not that they're bad, the burgers still tasted very nice, but they lacked that local touch on the sauces.

Another nice place to grab some good food. Lovely ambience. The restaurant located at the entrance in crescent boulevard. Good variety of food and beverages from the menu. And there is a separate menu for burgers. Excellent customer service. Prices in the menu is excluding taxes and service charge. When you get the final bill including the taxes and service charge price is bit high compared to other places.

Whoa, the classic burger is amazing & so juicy. Loved the ambiance of this place, though really at the road side. The road noise is a bit annoying.
