One the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to (food taste wise). The food was excellent both days. The ambience could be improved since it does not look at its best at the moment. Nevertheless the staff was friendly and the waiting time was not bad. Parking can be a bit of a problem sometimes depending on the crowd. Would not hesitate to go there again or to recommend it to anyone. Suitable for group dining as well

Delicious Indian food made out of authentic ingredients and probably by Indian chefs. Higher than average prices but the taste and quality justifies the same. Friendly staff and fast service. Served hot and fresh, the smell and looks are mouthwatering. Highly recommended for all Indian food lovers. Cleanliness in toilets and hand washing area are a must area of improvement. Parking can be a question in peak time but worth the trouble.

We ordered chicken biryani from this restaurant, but it was not good and didn't taste right. I trusted this shop because I had been there before and enjoyed the same item. However, this time they gave a dextrinase with the food, which worried me. My office staff also ordered the same item and they were disappointed too. I will never go to this place again

Food is really good i mean damn good.. Tried Butter Chicken Massala curry with 03 different types of naans (butter, garlic & normal naans) to taste check. Im absolutely happy with the food. Place got enough space for at least 50 people to dine in at once and service is good. Seems like they didn’t had any dedicated parking but you can figure it. Highly recommending and definitely everyone should visit.

Authentic Indian foods, good taste and clean atmosphere . Excellent customer service . Rest room can be maintained better .

Been there few times and all the time that I've visited there were ample space for dine in. Specialised in Indian cuisine, they make few of the best biryani in Sri Lanka. Their mutton biryani was so tasty and also their chicken. Both of them had immense flavours in them and surprisingly their veg biryani too tasted well with the infusion of panneer in it. Tried calamari and was not bad a more of a mediocre taste. But their panneer starter was too good. The second time i visited the biryani taste was a little deteriorated but easily one of the best biryani I've ever tasted. The prices a bit high but a perfect place for biryani lovers if price isn't an issue, hopefully they've improved on their quality...

Good food and lot of varieties to choose from. I enjoyed the chicken 65 mostly. Chicken tikka Biryani was not up to the par however for the first time it’s doable. We went around 9 pm on a rainy day and food was served really fast. One downside is the washroom at this branch, it can be better in terms of cleanliness.

Actually went to Sweet chilli which is opposite to this restaurant at 3pm but it was closed and saw this front of that and I have been to there OGF branch but food and the service for me was better here, very friendly and smart staffs- they took the starter order at first so the kitchen will make it ready soon while we choose the main course - it impressed me , Portions are far better comparing to others boneless mutton biryani so tasty there naan too quite bigger that dinmore naan but same price, overall very good experience, Only one suggestion please reduce food colouring - even the oil is ok because we don't eat at restaurants every day, the kasmiri palua which is like a children's meal but the orange colour rice so it's better keep it in white as it is , good luck will visit again!

We have visited the main branch in Colombo last week (3rd Nov 2023). We were planning to get their boneless mutton biriyani but seeing the price (Rs.3200/- per portion) we decided not to try it on that day as it was our first visit anyway. So we’ve got chicken tikka dum biriyani, chicken varuval to share between me and my husband. My friend already had lunch when he met us that day so he got Chicken lollipops. To try I got pani puri and a masala chai. ▪️Chicken tikka dum biriyani: • Presentation: 4/10 (not very appealing) • Taste: 6/10 (chicken was little bit lack of seasoning for my preference- and I expected it to be more fragrant and delicious but it wasn’t. So that was disappointing. • Portion: very much adequate for a one person for sure! - Rice: just enough for two people if you’re going on a diet 😁 - Chicken: we only got 5 breast pieces hidden inside of this rice ▪️Chicken lollipops The star of the show. This was the only dish that we liked. It was well seasoned, well cooked and the presentation itself was great! ▪️Chicken varuval: • Presentation: 4/10 (not very appealing) • Taste: 6/10 - again not very tasty. • Portion: Adequate ▪️Pani puri Honestly… the worst I had! 🥴 My friend said it’s what it was supposed to be but all I got was punched up papadam with badly smushed potatoes with no seasoning. - The tamarind sauce was way too sour even for a sour tooth like me. - The green sauce: had no taste at all. I thought it was just water with green food coloring. So bad! ▪️Masala chai and the only thing I loved amongst the food we had. It’s a good masala chai! Absolutely loved it! The aroma, the sugar was just right. - would we visit there once again? Yes. but only to try the boneless mutton biriyani

A great place to have indian food. Curries were really tasty. The place is well maintained and hygienic. Our order was ready within few minutes. Staff was helpful and efficient.

Authentic South Indian restaurant with really great food. We tried the naan with curry. The curry was amazing and the naan was good too. Everything is made fresh on orders and food is delivered within 15 minutes. The desert options are also good and its recommended to try the faluda. There is parking right in front so no issues there. The ambiance is okay, nothing fancy but it suits the cuisine

The google map location is under repairing and it has small banner mentioning new location of the restaurant. Personally foods are not much tasty andnI am not impressive with it. We bought chicken biriyani, ice coffee and butter nan. Prices are much higher than the other locations. And there was an argument between one of the customer and manager there. Customer is arguing that they took more than one hour to deliver their foods to the table and manager is not giving proper answr. Anyway I am not visiting there again.

An authentic indian restaurant with good variety of food items... Me and my friends decided to try Naan (plain,butter & cheese)..its very tasty...Chicken Butter Masala portion is not the best...i would rate it 2/5..But chef's special prawn curry was awesome...its very very delicious...Overall food taste is good... For the cons, i think customers' washing facilities should be improved..it's on the way to the washrooms and bit smelly... Overall its a good experience..

Very nice food. Chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani tried. Naan roti also very nice. Very good quantity and taste. Compared to other Indian restaurants this is little bit expensive.

Great ambience. Buriyani is excellent . And the lassi . Its a little pricey but no complaints. Kudos for Sangeeth for very proactive and professional service

There was a piece of steelwool on the chicken 65 plus the mutton biriyani was soggy and not worth for money. I ordered a bone mutton biriyani which was full of only bone with one flesh piece and the rice was watery. Please find the pic for proof ...steelwool is mentioned on left side chicken piece Biriyani osieces u can see all the fat and non meat parts with bone Hyderabadi chef go and learn proper biriyani People come for an authentic Indian restaurant for quality food ..... Quality matters ...... Need urgent improvement on food ,price doest mind when the food is really in good standared.

I had lunch with our family guest here. I went with my little daughter. She got a baby chair. Mutton Biriyani is tasty. Any dish with Nan is also one good combination. Mutton curries are tasty and not very spicy 🌶. Masala tea ☕️ also delicious here. I recommend you to have them. We can pay from credit card and debit cards. We can park at roadside.

Bad experience! Once we were into the restaurant the staffs weren't bothered to bring the menu card We had ordered cuttle fish pakora but got onion pakora ... careless staffs Not even one dish was served we were waiting for an hour Naan was like papadam Chicken Biriyani wasn't soo gud aswell Chicken tikka gravy had chicken chopped into pieces, when placing order he mentioned saying will hv small chickens serving 8 ppl but disappointed after seeing it Price isn't reasonable as to the portion Chicken stuff parata was worst it had Chicken minced into it if so in the menu should hv mentioned as Chicken minced stuff parata Worst restaurant n worst experience ever

Great place to dine if you love Indian food. Food tastes delicious and has great south Indian vibe in the place. Staff is also quite friendly. Food is bit on the expensive side but the food is well worth the money. There are non veg options available as well. The only downside is it takes a bit of time to get the orders. However highly recommend.....

We Went for lunch with a bunch of friends after a movie at Savoy. Nice and convenient location with ample parking along the road. Friendly staff. Nothing to complain about the food.

I recently visited this hotel and ordered the chicken tikka biriyani and tandoori chicken biriyani. The food was tasty and had a good aroma, but it was also very spicy and hot. One portion was enough for one person, but I noticed that the rice was the same for both dishes, with only the chicken being different. The restaurant was located in a very old building with no interior design work, and I found it quite warm inside. The AC was switched on very late, which made me sweat a bit. Moreover, the bathroom near their store had a bad smell. The price of the meal was a little bit high considering the environment, but the customer care was good. The meal was served within 10 to 15 minutes, but the cleanliness was just okay. Parking on road available.

Highly recommended place. One of the best Indian authentic restaurants in Srilanka. Delicious food. Biriyanis are highly recommended. lots of spices are added to the foods. Drinks are not worth to money. Cool and calm atmosphere. Surrounded by south indian cinema theme. Small car parking available.

Naan and thanthuri chicken masala is good. Mutton curry is not so good. Briyani also not do good. They adding 10% service charges. Situated in a very calm place and that is a very old house. Have some nice drawings on the wall as well. There is no specific parking have to park on the road.

Located in Lily Avenue Wellawatte. Tried their Chicken Tikka Biriyani, Paneer Masala Naan and Garlic Naan with Fresh Juices. Overall the taste was good. You can have a variety of food there. You can take either inside or outside dining options in their restaurant. Parking facilities are not there separately but you can park the vehicles on the side of the road. The staff service could be improved a little more. Overall had a good experience. Reasonable prices too.

We ordered a couple of dishes here and I ordered their Mutton Biriyani. I am sure that this food is going to food poison me. The food I ordered was horrible. I usually order Mutton Biriyani wherever I go and this restaurant ruined my taste buds. There was no mutton pieces whatsoever and the food stinked. It was so bland. I returned it immediately. Chola is named as one of the better Indian Restaurants in Colombo, but It was of very poor quality! Highly Disappointed!!!
