The shop is wast as always. Thought the general reduction of imported goods would not be seen here. Happy to say that majority of the products were available but could not find my baby’s favorite cereal. The staff was also not much attentive or helpful. But overall can recommend for a wholistic shopping experience

Easily one of the best super markets in Colombo which has the best variety and best options for all household items. Has things from food and drinks to house hold utensils tools and furniture. It's also home to a pharmacy liquor store a coffee shop and a famous food court called Urban kitchen. There is ample parking for a large crowd. The supermarket is generally very crowded so recommend to go during off peak hours for the best shopping experience.

Rating again after a year. Standards have drastically dropped since before and the the support staff is pretty much horrible at their role. What happened to the hyper market, super store we used to visit. Floors are broken, carpets are placed without warnings that there are broken tiles below. Left with a knee injury today onn31st October 2021. Worst pf all the Air conditioner is not even on properly and it was hot and stuffy. Hats off to Keels and Cargills for keeping up standards and also maintaining higene levels. Richard Peris, Arpico, Do up your game with the standard of the Hyde park Arpico and do have trainings for the team if you don't want your competitors passing you. A lot miss the old Arpico and the brilliant standards they maintained.

Ample and more parking space available. Arpico furniture exists as a seperate store in the premises. Staff is efficient.

We ate the BBQ at the Arpico at hyde park and they were very very tasty. The best barbecue I have eaten in my whole life. Keep up the great work that you are running and for anyone I recommend Arpico outdoor BBQ stall. We at the 17th of July 2021. Once again really enjoyed the experience and food.

This regarding a incident that took place at hype park Arpico near the cheese counter on 3 July 2021 around 5 pm to 6 pm A supervisor / manger of the aprico was scolding his staff in front of every customers on the floor. This made the staff member feel guilty. As a customer this issue is not related to me but the manger should not do it disturbing all the crowd who was shopping . This incident brings the goodwill of the company down .advise the relevant guys not to scold his subordinates in front of the customers Cheers,

You’ve pretty much got everything you need from high end products to basic necessities. Includes a bakery as well which is ideal to grab a quick bite while doing the shopping for the week!

First of all, I’ll say this should be a 5 star review. The store has every grocery item you can think of and also a ton of other items. I shop here frequently whenever I am in Sri Lanka. However, I shopped here on December 22, 2023 and it was hotter than the face of the sun inside the store. It was so uncomfortable, I couldn’t shop any longer and checked out quicker than I normally would. This is not your Uncle and Aunty’s corner shop, surely a big company like this can afford to have the AC on or repair it if it’s broken.

One of the best shopping complex in SriLanka. I believe you get everything you need from Arpico. The cost is fine. Staff are friendly. Its more like a warehouse full of items to buy. Kids toys, Beauty, Grocery etc... ample space for parking is available in the premises. They have a pretty good gift wrapping section.

Well stocked. I live in the USA. The retail layout could be better but I think it is region specific ( I am not a retail specialist). It has a nice small snack bar with seating. Good selection of short eats, tea, coffee, cakes and ice cream.

The worst super market in the country! Horrible service , they turn off their fridges everyday you can feel the meats thawed every morning the veggies almost always have worms , every shelf is unclean. I would recommend going here if you have any household items to buy but anything else don't even bother.

I visited to hyde park arpico to buy a perfume, i asked a fogg perfume then a lady (staff) was standing at gillet showcase, i asked her to give me a fogg perfume, then she started to scold me, "im not responding for perfume section, why are you asking me?, you dont have rights to ask me." With bad body gesture. I felt bad and searched the manager of the supermarket but he was not there and no one questioned her. Biggest embrassing moment i faced ever.

Very poor staff at the checkout counters. They are rude for no fault of the customers and throw the merchandise around. They seem frustrated to be honest.

While the supermarket offers a variety of products, the checkout process is quite lengthy and often inefficient. Checkout personnel frequently need to call a manager, which adds to the waiting time, and barcodes on products often fail to read properly. The 'speed counter' often ends up crowded with customers with full shopping carts, which contradicts its purpose. Both customers and the store management should take steps to rectify this.

Cashiers are struggling with input and looking for override of superiors, who were act very slowly. Need sense of urgency on this place and rush hours. Staff members are not marketing personnel and pleasing with customers. Various items available and very good interior setup for purchasing for goods. After the shopping at cash counter Arpico is loosing customers due to lack staff efficiencies

This review is solely for the checkout experience and it’s important to note that the supermarket is generally clean, fairly well stocked and has pleasant customer service. However, the final checkout is what lingers in shopper’s memory and this is where Arpico Super at Hyde Park Colombo fails spectacularly and consistently. I would not write this review if it was one experience. This is based on 4-5 checkouts over the past month. The company seems determined to make this torturous, protracted, incompetent and consistently dreadful. I understand you must have trainees. If so, make sure that 2 trainees are placed next to each other with a manager dedicated to them. If your credit card approval is such a chore, have sufficient managers available to ensure the line is moving. You have one manager right now for 8 checkout lanes and it looks like every lane needs an approval. I know we are all experiencing difficulties finding the right staff but unless the processes help the staff and support them, you will never move this forward. I hope this improves as it’s such a shame when the rest of the place is so good.

A great place to shop. You could find a wide variety of products and services under one roof. Especially like the somewhat new, as they've been around for sometime now, introductions such as the salad bar and other similar stations. Not to mention the ample parking space available, right in the middle of the city and the spacious infrastructure that houses the supermarket and related seevices. I sometime visit both their Hydepark Corner and Battaramulla Super Centers passing several other major retail outlets on the way, for the wide range of products and services they have as well as the overall shopping experience on offer. The wine shop too is worthy of mentioning as it is accessible to the patrons to go check out the wines, spirits and the beer that are on display, unlike in some other places where you could only buy them over the counter and has no ready access to displayed items. One area they could improve is their staff and how they relate to the customers. Not that there are any major issues, but sometimes they seemed too abosrobed in their own work in ways that fail to attend to customers on the floor that require help and attention. Another must have feature is an online ordering and delivery service that most of the other major retailers have by now worked out, thanks to the Covid19 outbreak and resulting lockdowns. In addition the number of outlets may have to be increased in order to penetrate the market and increase the share. However this may not be possible with the existing store concepts, therefore may have to go to a hybrid model that opens smaller stores that focus on the expansion of the retail business while having larger super centers in strategically important locations. Considering there is still more room for improvements I've given four stars. According to the attached chart I found online, the retail sector generates the bulk of reveneu to the company which along with other household consumable and furniture business contribute more than 50% of the revenue share. It would be good to know the market share of its retail business as well.

When you are using back entrance security ask you to keep your umbrella at the desk and there is no way to collect the umbrella without getting wet as you have to walk about 10 meters in the rain exit at the back side to security desk. Also security guys never tag umbrella and they mess things up. Got a pretty old broken umbrella instead of new one I had. They should let the customer take the umbrella to inside or else change the exit and security desk to be closer and tag umbrellas.

Arpico HPC, the biggest and most excited Arpico super center in the country with ample amount apaces of parking with two entrances & exits. All the grocery needs including fruit & veges, fish & meet, backery , electricals & elrctronics, baby care, pharmacy, stationaries and separete furniture store is there for serve to you. Parking layout and outdoor may be little messy (but its free) due to less maintenance but customers may meet all their daily needs under one roof with hell of a lot options.

It was a fun grocery store to look around. I was especially curious about the "Christmas Hampers". It reminded me of the new year gifts in Japan, but much more practical. The only negative is that the cashiers are incredibly slow. I'm talking sloth-like lack of speed.

Arpico super centre's flagship store. Situated at a commercial location, with ample parking spaces. Well stacked shelf's full of Essential and non essential items even at scarces times. Ok place... Only useful thing might be their availability of plastic products along with normal grocery items. Not so great of a place. Too few checkout counters... Maybe not all operational at a given time. They turn down the a/c very early as well in order to ensure people leave at closing time.

Prices have increased in every item. Unaffordable but people buy the essential items like rice, vegetables, fish and meat. Not many people, car park is almost empty. Signs of the country's dwindling economy.

The shop expands in a vast area. Has many things from daily super market needs to household items. The best thing in here is we have the ultimate freedom to check and choose the best option. The floor is not properly maintained and there are lot of damaged places hidden by carpets. So it is required to walk carefully. It also makes pushing the trolley really hard. At someplaces the trolley goes out of control. It is very inconvenient to be careful about the trolley all the times. The plastic items are bit expensive but the bedsheets and other table accessories are very cheap but also in normal quality. We have shopped here for getting the items for our new home. And we had a good bargain at Dankotuwa Porcelain. Once choosen they pack them in cardboard boxes which is easier to carry. The wrapping counter is not properly look after we had a hard time to find a small cellotape to cover the cardboard boxes. Location is very convenient since there are ample parking space and there's also two entrances. It should be great if the Furniture store can be accessed through the Supermarket.

Spcially you can find brands ranging from locally and globally where you coudnt find any other shooping centers of this kind. They have in house bakery shop with seating facilities too

This review is not for the supermarket. It's for Sri Lankan Cashews. They are the best. From a road trip taken across this beautiful country all I can remember other than pretty coastal scenery are the bags of cashews that we've emptied along the way. People usually expect Ceylon tea as a gift from this destination but if you can get your hands on a bag of cashews you will stay in their hearts forever. Also tip: don't bother getting the overpriced tea from the plantations. The premium Ceylon tea at supermarkets here is just as good as any and makes for a good gift. 🎁☕🐧

This place used to be really good at the center of the city many years back. Now the service of the staff is poor. Cashier at the Wine and Spirits store showed us some bad attitude today. He got us to restock the products while two other employees were happily seated and chatting around. I don't think they realize anything much about creating a good customer experience so that people would keep coming back. In all fairness other two employees at the store at least tried to help unlike the cashier.
