The Cinema Hall is spacious. There is ample space for legs after even after keeping a bag in front of your seat. Seats are old, but still in good condition. Main Criticism: The audio was muted while the movie is being played (probably due to a power cut), but they didn't play that part again. So, I couldn't hear a very important scene in the morning.

Jagath at the counter needs to know how to talk to a customer and handle a simple ticket issue. Just for the sake of becoming half an hour late to a movie, not only did he refuse me to book a ticket when my friends inside said that there were enough of free seats available but also he reacted in a very unacceptable manner. What's the point in not being able to ticket just because one gets 30mins late!! He spoke as if he owns the place, bloody cheap traditional nitwit. Will never recommend MC CINEPLEX TO ANYONE!! BAD SOUND QUALITY, ZERO HOSPITALITY, VERY DULL SCREEN, UNPLEASANT CUSTOMER SERVICE, THIS REVIEW IS NOT OVERREACTING BUT A RESULT OF MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING.

Clean Neat Tidy Movie Theater. Watched a movie in Superior theater. Not much crowded as it was a weekday day and showtime was 10:30am. Place is awesome compared to other same standard cinema theaters from Mount Lavina to Bambalapitiya. A good makeover from what was in the past as this was a first visit to Majestic City Cinema theater after quite some time

What began as a single screen theatre, Majestic has evolved into a multi screened Cineplex attached to the Majestic City shopping complex. The theatre has recently been refurbished with new seats, lighting and enhanced sound with Sri Lanka’s first 4K projection together with Dolby digital 7.1 surround sound system. The wide curved space and the architecture makes for comfortable seating and viewing. Comprising four ultra modern theatres, the Majestic cineplex screens the latest Hollywood, Bollywood and international movies in English.

Good place to watch movies, reasonable ticket prices. The screen and seating was also good.

Perfect theatre in one of the busiest hubs in the city. Very spacious and comfortable seeting to go with nice ambience and state of the art facilities. Being inside a mall also helps out in timing the theatrical experience along with other routing chores.

Used to be one of the key spots back in days. But now with other malls coming around with better experiences this place has gone downhill. Most of the shops were vacated.

Watched so many movies in this theater. Fully cleaned calm place. I can give 10 out of 10 marks bcz there's no any bad to say. Great place and highly recommended.

Watched a movie at the Majestic Cineplex after a very long time. It was very cold inside the cinema and felt very uncomfortable. I had to complain to the manager to reduce the cold temperature . The movie was The Exorcist Believer . A very slow moving and not a very good movie .

It was a memorable experience to see Shah Rukh Khan Jawan in theatre. The hall is good and not too expensive to give a nice experience.

Went last Friday. A ticket was priced 300/-. Poor quality seats and sound system. Really disappointed. Didn’t expect this from Majestic cineplex.

The movie started 10 minutes late as they had to clean the theatre. Wasn't a problem for me because it helped me get to know that I was going to a clean theatre lol. (Finding a clean theatre at an affordable rate in Colombo has not been easy for me!) The washroom had a slightly unpleasant smell before the movie started (around 9.50 am). When I checked after the movie, the washroom was cleaned and there was no unpleasant smell. The christmas decorations looked cool. There was a photo booth set up to take photos. There was no popcorn in the canteen. Chips and soda were available. Overall it was a pleasant experience at an affordable rate (900 per ticket).

It's one of the oldest Cineplex in Colombo, but still has got enough strength to entertain it's customers, you could find all new movies released and experience 'em really good for a great ticket value.

Ohhh went to majestic cinema after very long time. Great memories of childhood coming back to me. Very calm, peaceful, no big crowds like other cinemas in malls. nostalgic place which we used to frequent in the past. Screen and sound both were good quality and seats very comfortable too. Very friendly staff

This movie theater may be slightly older compared to others in the area, but it still offers a good experience. The ticket prices are relatively lower compared to One Galle Face. The seating is decent, although not as comfortable as the theater at One Galle Face. The sound and movie quality are also satisfactory. Overall, it provides a good movie-watching experience.

Awesome place to watch movies in 3D.theres three cinema halls in majestic cineplex they are superior,ultra and gold.we can book tickets via online also.theres a delicious snack bar in it.we can have popcorns,casavanas,chips etc.and theres beverages also like pepsi,7up etc.in the cinema hall calm environment with digital sourrounded sound with AC.in interval theres snack sellers comming to us.we can also buy snacks from them too.i watched AVENGERS endgame yesterday from it.its good place to watch a movie.

I went there lot of times. The palace is very clean and neat. Seats are more comfortable. Staffs are more friendly. I watched Assassin creed, toy story 4 and MIB 4 in 3D.its awesome.

Re innovated recently. Tidy and comfortable environment to watch movies. Prices are affordable comparing to other similar theaters. Online booking is available to cut down waiting time at the queue. Nice snacks and environment too.

After long time went to majestic Cineplex. It was great time out there. Hope they will improve the seats better than now. So it will be more comfortable for the customers. All the services are pretty good. Overall, liked it

There were a lot of local stores that were really nice. But, also a lot of electronics stores as well. I like that it had a cinema place. The downside was the food court. There wasn't a big selection of stores. My husband got the Singelese style rice and curry but the taste wasn't great. I ended up getting the chicken kottu roti. The texture and taste was more like pasta than a kottu roti. The kicker was the chicken was a roasted chicken piece on the side and not actually mixed in with the kottu roti.

The cinema was good. But the sound was average when compared to PVR. And the screen seemed to be a bit different in colours. The seats weren't that comfortable for a movie theatre. You cannot bend your seats behind you to lean and watch a movie. You should sit as if you are sitting on an ordinary cushion seat. Consider these things before you go there.

Screen and sound it at its best. Worth watching any movies here. All seats ranging from 8-14 is having a good view at screen. Also reclinable seats.

Good & comfortable place to enjoy a movie. But unfortunately not all the shows starts on the exact time so they do not have a proper waiting area with seats facility especially for elderly people, everyone has to stand & wait till they are taken inside the theatre.

The cinema offered a comparatively sufficient experience of viewing and seating capacity. However, the sound system did not meet the highest expectations. The size of the cinema is small and the distance between the screen and the seats is short. that may affect the overall experience.

1. Show on Time start - No, always start 15 minutes late. 2. Sound quality- poor, some noise on the speaker. 3. Air conditioner- very worst, they keep switch off AC in second half. 4. Toilet Cleanness- water on the floor. 5. Only positive thing in this theatre location and show timings.

AC was so cold that my friends and I were very uncomfortable through the whole film. We visited after 2 years, after the Covid pandemic closure to see the movie Elvis. As there were only a few people in the theatre, the thermostat should have been checked by the management and set to a comfortable temperature. We did not even purchase any refreshments, it was so freezing, we ran away at the end!

I went to see the Avatar, "the way of water," but for some reason, I didnt enjoy it entirely because the movie was too dark for my taste. No idea; maybe they reduced the brightness too low, or it's my aging eyes. Anyway even my kids comment the same. Overall experience about the property is well satisfactory... Not state of the art like some newer cinemas, but it is good.

Above average medium size cinema hall with both 2D and 3D screens. Used to be one of the best but over the time others have surpassed. The seats now give squeaking sound when you sit but you can lean backwards which is a plus.

Screen quality was good and sound was good too but was too loud at times. Main issue was the seats were bit damaged. 😑😑 Overall experience was average. 👍🏼
