There was a cinama in 1980s named Gamini. This is the most popular place to buy a used book in Sri Lanka. There are several bookshops selling used books in Sinhala, Tamil, and English languages. The Lotus Tower, which is the tallest building of Sri Lanka is situated nearby this junction. Gamini Hall junction is in between the busiest two railway stations, Colombo Fort and Maradana.

It's very important transit point to find buses to many destinations. But no enough service at the junction. No shelter or sitting facilities at the bus stop.

A famous place in Colombo Maradana. You can see world famous Lotus Tower from here. The Gamini Hall Bus stop is very famous for passengers where they get down from here to go to Maradana Railway station easily. The condition of road is not satisfied and traffic management also should be improved.

Very Dusty Place. This is the intersection of three roads. North road will lead you to Maradana Railway Station and Maradana Intersection but you will not be able to go directly to station since it is a one way road until Technical Junction. The road to the west of intersection will lead to Lake House and Lotus road. And other road to south will take you to Ibbanwala junction. Normally this place is not crowded. Normal traffic can be expected in peak times. But you will not have to wait long time
