This
bookstore
is
arguably
the
largest
collection
of
books
on
Buddhism
and
Buddhist
history,
culture
in
Sri
Lanka,
aligned
with
Theravada
Buddhism.
Most
of
the
collection
is
about
or
in
support
of
the
popular
and
widely
accepted
history
and
culture
in
the
country.
And
lacks
variety
in
conflicting
and
alternative
thoughts,
explanations
of
the
universal
truth.
Ideally
it
should
be
a
resource
in
aid
of
anyone
seeking
truth
and
the
collection
to
consist
of
publications
on
all
religions,
historical
and
contemporary
research
on
religions,
criticisms
of
religious
beliefs,
etc.
This
used
to
be
open
for
24
hrs,
365
days
in
the
early
days
which
was
useful
for
many,
specially
the
tourists.
Considering
the
prime
location
and
move
towards
promotion
of
spiritual
tourism
it's
not
too
late
to
revert
to
'always
open'
policy.
The
store
also
has
a
variety
of
Buddhist
offerings
and
memorabilia.
Facilities
for
customers
to
spend
some
time
reading
books,
enjoy
a
coffee,
etc.
would
be
welcome
value
additions.
When
inquired
they
didn't
have
gift
wrapping
or
boxes
which
could've
become
handy
for
customers.
The
staff
is
knowledgeable
and
helpful.
But
there's
much
room
for
improvement
in
customer
service
and
books/products
on
offer,
to
be
useful
for
the
intelligent
seekers
of
truth...
